I'm sorry for inactivity but let me run you through this past two days for me. Get up at about 5:30 for weight lifting for football at 6:00. Then at about 11:00 go down to my great grandparents old house (which my family is trying to sell) and mow the lawn and weed choked garden that hasn't been touched in two years. Then at 3:30 I walk down to the wrestling room (not far from grandparents just across the street) for a two hour summer practice. Not sure if anyone here wrestles but the practice Is not easy. Plus for the first time in the past month we have been "blessed" with clear skies and sunny weather.

I'm clear this weekend though I'll have something up. And don't worry things with the house will settle down fast and I'll have more time and energy.

Also sorry for complaining so much. I just needed to rant.
(Will probably regret this message in the morning)

Hey, no worries. Welcome back.
'Aight, everybody tell me if you want to expand, add cities, provinces, etc. Remember to keep it sensible and as descriptive as possible.

10th edition

BTW those barred areas are claimed land. It's not settled, but you'll have to take it up with the local tribes if you want to move in. Nothing will physically stop you, of course. At least not right away...

Easthome

@Nerevarine
Some Rokthan were curled up by the fireside sleeping or just taking a load off, some where telling stories, some were dancing, and others were laying on their sides staring at the stars and moon. One of them noticed that Anrett had not been back for a while and decided to head to the riverside to make sure that she was okay. Just then, something lit by the orange glow of the bonfire caught his eye. It was tall. He mistook it for Anrett at first, and was relieved. But that relief would suddenly turn into fear and tension as several more tall figures revealed themselves beside it. His first instinct was to call out to them, but he also wanted to alert the others. All he could do was blurt something out. "H-hey! HEY!!"
This quickly caught the attention of the other Rokthan and they went to investigate. As the tall figures got closer to the fire, the illumination confirmed suspicions that they were of the same people as Anrett. An elder slithers over to the group of Arsuron in an attempt to communicate. The others have reservations over this, but decide not to say anything out of respect. The elder attempts to speak in the being's tongue as best he can, however broken. "Welcome! Our home your home. Other Arsuron Anrett here. We give food!"
@Nerevarine
The warrior troop had arrived at Easthome at last. From the looks of the roaring bonfire across town, things don't seem to be at a complete loss, which was a relief.

Middlehome

"I don't know what to do, Gnila. Was it something I did?" says Shel to his mate after a long day's work.
"Nonsense, love. I'll be fine, Ki'Kisk will be sure of that." Gnila says in response, nudging up against him.
"But that's just it. What if we've angered him? We shouldn't have gone to the peak! It was a terrible idea!"
"The peak isn't his personal castle, love. It's just as much a part of nature as anything else. The legend speaks of that place only as his birthplace, nothing more. If he didn't want us there, he would have said so."
"I suppose you're right. And besides, what's done is done. Whatever comes of that brood I'll try my damnedest to raise it right."

The small one and The map maker made their way back to Middlehome on a quest to map the mountain range. "So, remind me again what we're here to do?"
The map maker sighs. "Again, we're here to consult King Shel on what he found when his group found in the northern range. He has not been particularly vocal about it for some unknown reason, so I intend to find out."
"Why don't we just go and see it for ourselves? I mean, we need to map it anyway."
"I want to be sure that it is not something that should not be seen."
I'm really sorry for the wait for a response, @Nerevarine, there was a minor family tragedy and I was unable to spend enough time for a good post. I'll get on that now.

Noted. I was unaware that such a thing existed. I had photoshop on my old computer for those things if I ever did it.

Cheers for the approval, I take it I now post the description in the character thread?

That would be swell.
Is there any other hills or mountains other than the one the Rokthan are on? Or can it be put in the description if your in a forest area and not of forest ground are plain flat or even. I am just wondering.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you're asking if you can designate an
area as hilly, if you get there before anyone else then I guess so.
@Raindeer
You're approved. Just a note to anyone in the future, plz plz don't use Microsoft Paint for editing maps. Paint.net is much better and supports transparency.

A slow breeze was blowing over the outskirts of Easthome. The desert crickets were chirping in the shadows cast upon the sands by the dunes and the setting sun behind them. The troop of eight Rokthan soldiers were almost finished with their trek across country to the village. Though they were in a hurry, they couldn't help but speculate with each other. Thoughts ranged from a gigantic monster capable of crushing many in a single foot stomp, to holy apparitions enraged by the actions of Rokthanity. All that they knew was that these things, whatever they are, are tall, strange looking, and hostile. The village organizer of Easthome was returning with them to see justice served himself.

Easthome

@Nerevarine
"There! That 'oughta do it! For now, at least..."
The burrow that Anrétt would be staying in for the time being was complete. The entrance consisted of a short tunnel leading to a dark, slightly moist, but cozy den about eight feet wide by seven feet long, with a rather uncomfortable four foot high ceiling. Though this would be considered bare minimum living conditions for anybody else, for a Rokthan, it was the high life. Complete with soft river reed bedding, a skylight of sorts which could also function as a chimney, and state-of-the-art wood support beams, it was quite the lifestyle. The many Rokthan who put forth the effort to build the burrow were exhausted and laid out on the hill in what little sunlight there was to regain their strength. If Anrétt were to offer to aid in the construction, the Rokthan would refuse, claiming that "it would be a crime" to let her help. Whether they were speaking literally or out of kindness was not clear.
"See, my lad? I told you it was possible to finish it before dark." the elder says to his grandson who was laying limp panting in the sun.
"Yeah...... *gasp* totally...."

Once she was settled in, the village decided to hold a bonfire in celebration. This was a chance for the Rokthan to impress the visitor with their ability to harness one of nature's most destructive forces... for recreation.

Gnila Skethar's pregnancy was going well for the first few weeks, but then started to become strange. There were great pains one day, then they stopped the next. Rokthan broods typically consist of three to eight eggs, but it's almost as if they've all merged into one. All they could do at this point is pray that everything will turn out fine.

Vinal comes to Shel to have a word. "Milord, perhaps it would be best if I made my way to Easthome as well. If these beings are capable of reason, I may find some way to--"
"No. I won't allow that, I'm sorry. I need you here at Middlehome. You and I both know that I cannot rule this practical hive alone. Without an organizer, things would fall apart. I'm sure that our men will do what must be done."
"Yes, milord..."
"By the way, Vinal."
"Yes?"
"Drop the formalities. You've known me long enough."
"Aye... thank you, Shel."
Looks pretty good. Start whenever you're ready.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't completely break the map. The pixels need to be 1-1 or else it'll be warped and unusable.

There we go.
Question, do we know what season it is? I'm not sure whether I missed it or it simply hasn't been mentioned. I guess our different paces of time would make it difficult. Would it be safe to assume that its currently spring at least around the Saurians?

Time in this RP is a strange animal. It's really just whatever time of day or season that it needs to be in the post. In cases of player interaction, whoever states the time of day, season etc first would, I figure, establish it for that period.
