Actually, you can kill those skeletons if you use strategy and think about what you’re going to do before you charge in and get your ass kicked. Also, you can kill the skeletons in the catacombs at the start of the game if you get a certain sword from an undead dragon.
All I'm saying is that you can do anything if you try hard enough.
