I see. Thanks for clarifying!
Soo, according to weather reports, this huge storm cloud should be slowly moving away. About damn time! If all goes well, a post will be up tomorrow.

IC related, how are exactly these recon missions carried out? I assume the pilot controls the recon pods which are able to take pictures of the targets? I apologize for my lack of expertise on the field, just want to get everything clear.
Dammit, someone, somewhere in the country must've insulted God/Zeus/whatever deity hard...It's been raining a LOT in the last two days. Not just regular raining, but all-inclusive stuff you know, with lightning, thunder and all the rest. And because of this, my internet connection has been unstable too, which is the main reason I was semi-inactive in my RPs. When I ACTUALLY got connection with reasonable speed, I had to use it for school/RL stuff. So yeah, I'm pretty pissed. Here's hoping this god-forsaken weather (oh yeah, it's supposedly summer here btw) goes somewhere FAR and FAST.
"Understood." Matt replied as the Colonel announced that she will get a briefing from the captain and that they should check on their aircraft while she's away. He stayed in the mess hall for a little more, getting another round of snacks to make sure he had enough fuel for the upcoming mission. Time passed a lot slower since they reached the ground and 40 minutes was plenty of time to spend. After finishing with everything, he - as the last pilot still there - took his leave and started heading towards the hangar. Thankfully, the place had plenty of signs to guide him towards the destination, otherwise he could've easily got lost, despite having a look at the map already back at the living quarters.

He met a few carrier personnel on his way, but none of them engaged into conversation, they all looked very busy. Just before reaching the hangar, he saw a small group of engineers talking about something called "cavitation" while clearly looking excited about it. Matt didn't bother listening further, not giving the topic a big importance. He was a lot more worried about his Jaguar at the mean time which he felt will be piloted again soon. In the large hangar, the Excalibur aircrafts were situated next to each other, in landing order. It was the first time Matt could see all of them clearly at one place, without snow or harsh wind obscuring the view. All of them had very distinguishable decals and paintings, some even having a name written on them and such, it wasn't hard for him to find his fighter. Despite having some fears of it being damaged because of the very...interesting nature of the carrier, the only wounds the Jaguar had were from the battle before.

Looking at a clock on the wall, he knew it was almost time for the meetup. All right, she's in top shape. It's all up to me now to keep it that way. he concluded to himself. Quickly leaving the hangar and walking all the way back to the bunks, he arrived before the briefing started, fortunately. Sitting up on his bunk and taking his tablet to hand, he waited for the few people still missing to arrive. The Colonel told them about a certain "supercavitation" drive the Nimue has, which makes it able to accelerate and quickly reach great speeds. And it's about to be used. "I see, so that's what those engineers talked about...This should be fun." he said, laying down in the bed, getting ready for the speedup to happen. Unmistakeable sirens and an announcement soon followed as the entire ship started vibrating, which kept growing stronger and louder as the minutes passed. Matt loved these kinds of experiences, but even he was surprised by the power of it.

After it was over, he sat up on the bed, letting out a "Whoa. Just wow." in his temporary daze from all the shaking. He shook his head a little and took a comfortable position as the Colonel announced the start of the briefing.
Yep! Posted to reflect it. =)
The chase was over and all attention was focused on the injured guy again, who was seemingly still fighting to stay conscious. The girl told Ryan to check on him and make sure the bandages and everything is still all right. They had to hold out until they reached a relatively secure place where she could help him further. But until that, it was up to Ryan, whose only medical knowledge lied in a first aid training he received years ago, to keep him safe during the travel. So he looked at the plasters the girl put up, all of them - fortunately -, held tight. With the danger of bleeding out minimized, the guy's survival chances were a lot higher, which relieved Ryan. He already cared about the two like they were his best friends, even though he didn't even know their names. All that despite being a suspicious person in normal circumstances.

"The bandages hold, everything looks fine." he declared. "Also, just call me Ryan." He also helped the guy getting a little more comfortable inside the van, giving him more space at his own comfort's expense. The situation seemed to be calm for now, also allowing Ryan to rest a bit. However, this idyll ended quickly and abruptly, as the sound of a massive explosion shook him up. The hell...? he thought to himself, surprised. He was not the only one to hear it, as the girl navigated the car closer to where the explosion came from, seemingly eager to see its cause. Soon enough, they reached the blown apart gas station.

"Well...something or someone surely made that station explode. Should we check it out?"
I considered the option of having every character in one group (the most likely thing would be either the trio finding Emma and Willie on the way or having the two of them unite first, then the meetup) Let's see what the others say. =)

As for the takeover, I'll think about it.
Okay, posted, the characters are finally on the road! I don't know if any of you wanted to have something happen before they got out of there, feel free to detail it if you did. The main question is, where will they go now?

It would be very hilarious if they could. :D
"Yeah...I'll try my best with our injured, just tell me what to do." Ryan replied, still trying to be helpful even though he couldn't drive. He sat down next to the guy, making sure to give him plenty of space in case he wants to lay down or anything. The rifle was still in his hand given that it didn't have a strap, making him unable to get it on his back. With the girl taking the driving seat as well, they were ready to get away from this heavily infested place. Not that they had much of a choice, as the creatures kept closing in on the van. After an unsuccessful first try - which gave each one of them the shivers - the vehicle finally started and the three shot out to the road, finally safe for now. Some of the quicker monsters started running after them, but thankfully the car was way faster.

"I'm not a ninja, nor a soldier...but I think I handled these creatures damn nicely." Ryan said, reclining his head, shortly after they got rid of the last one chasing. He was clearly satisfied of himself. Pretty amazed as well. He didn't think he was actually capable of holding back these horrifying creatures for so long, but it didn't matter now. All that mattered is that all three of them made it out alive, a feat impressive enough on its own. However, despite being extremely exhausted, he knew he still cannot falter, not until they finally got the injured guy sitting next to him somewhere where he could heal and recover. The probability of finding an operating hospital was slim and the girl has shown that she can help him on her own. There were many questions in Ryan's head regarding how will they actually survive with limited supply and lack of permanent shelter, but they didn't look so important to him at the moment - he could worry about them later.

He's Christian, so no worries. He'd be a bit taken aback due to habit, but there's no problems.

All right, thanks for clarifying!
