Posted For Approval --- ![enter image description here](http://cs304904.userapi.com/u7130014/154261429/y_59b7a532.jpg "enter image title here") **NAME:** James “Jamie” Drummond **AGE:** 16 **YEAR:** 2nd **NORMAL OR SUPERNATURAL?** Supernatural – “Luck” or otherwise the art of making it through something by the skin of his teeth. (Perhaps it has to do with probabilities and an instinctual knowledge of them. Either way, Jamie has learned from past mistakes the dangers of relying on it too much.) **PERSONALITY:** Jamie is the type to hate normality – he finds that a life without change and excitement is too mundane, too stagnant for him. He chases after thrills like a dog with a stick (minus the tongue-wagging). No danger is too huge, no task impossible for the courageous Jamie Drummond! They say that Jamie is not quite right, that he doesn't look before he leaps and charges in like a bull. He's easy-going, certainly, but that doesn't mean he is mindful of his surroundings and those in it. His closest friends are the ones who can keep up with him, and those who *can't*... well, they're not worth his interest. His utter lack of care towards his academic work (and obsession over the practical) is by no means a reflection of his intellect; however, his common sense has vanished – if it even existed in the first place. A true extrovert, he doesn't like to be alone nor does he like to see it in others. He's also oh-so-very loud. **BIO:** Born into an extremely wealthy Scottish family with a good reputation for business and a notorious one for scandals, Jamie had big shoes to fill. Tutored at home in addition to his normal Primary School work throughout all of his childhood years, it wasn't an excessively happy time and he lacked the freedom most children were given; however, his parents felt it necessary – not as naturally clever as many of his brothers and sisters, a head for business had to be drilled into him. Even so, he always noticed something was different about himself, and so did others. His parents called him a “leprechaun” for his abnormally good luck, untamed and uncontrolled when he was younger. If he desperately wanted something (like to *win*), he would – barely. His grades were consistently just above the pass mark every time, no matter where it was set at, and even waking up at the latest possible moment to go to school he would always somehow make it. It all came to a head in one particular incident at age eleven: a car accident with him as the pedestrian where he survived miraculously unscathed. It was only when he started stretching the limits of his strange luck that it began to fail him (and as a result, he began to fail his tests). Quickly he shut it off – clearly it only 'guided' him so he still had to study, or wake up early enough to get to class – and after he grew up into a teenager, he honestly forgot all about it. It was just an overactive imagination trying to think of himself as something special, or at least, that's what he told himself. Once enrolled in Northwood Academy on the suggestion of his aunt, he continued to pull a 'barely passing' GPA at 3.1, teeter around two tardies out of three each term, barely make curfew and survive all in all through sheer luck alone. The only thing he seems truly talented in is sports – most if not all kinds. His ability almost certainly contributes to that, without his knowledge. **HOW YOU CAME TO THE SCHOOL:** Enrolled from Year 1 onwards – accepted due to rich parents. **PREFERRED DORM:** Wells Hall --- ![enter image description here](http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/c4/53/3f/c4533f04b9320b9b3d5b625b8fdbb964.jpg "enter image title here") **NAME:** Luca Seacliffe **AGE:** 14 **YEAR:** 1st Year **NORMAL OR SUPERNATURAL?** A supernatural with particularly mundane talents. She is similar to the legends of the trickster, having an abnormal talent for misdirection and confusing others. **PERSONALITY:** Luca is, without a doubt, a girl with too few marbles and an insatiable curiosity for places considered off limits. She appears immature for her age, still caught up in the carefree imagination of childhood where pranks and magic tricks are more than enjoyable. She has not grown out of that phase, still a precocious kid with too many questions rather than a young woman supposedly on the cusp of adulthood. While intelligent, she doesn't quite understand social norms and is an unrepentant tomboy. **BIO:** Luca Seacliffe is the illegitimate daughter of an extremely wealthy businessman and a 'woman of loose morals' (or at least, that's what her mother calls herself) – her household was of average income at best but as an only child she did not have any competition for affection or toys. Even so, her mother was often busy; Luca amused herself from a young age with television and magic sets that were old Christmas present. By ten, she was already designing her own to emulate those she saw in the media. She had a brief taste of fame in a local newspaper back home in Carlisle, for her winning act in a talent show and since then she had wanted more. Her mother moved to America, however, taking the young star in the making with her and allowing her brief reputation to fall into obscurity. Luca was enrolled into the Northwood Academy of Excellence for her prodigious grades; however, it came with a warning that her social skills left much to be desired. **HOW YOU CAME TO THE SCHOOL:** First year student this year – scholarship student. **PREFERRED DORM:** Dorsey Hall – she likes the mystery.
Mira and Klaus though <3 <3 (who am I kidding especially Klaus) If they weren't on opposite sides of the fighting, I think they'd be friends. Maybe they're frenemies?
I'm going to say, you can have him believe that he's a "true vampire" as an antagonist (delusion brought by age and power perhaps?) but there will be no such thing in the RP. And telekinesis/psychokinesis is fine, but I'm tentatively not allowing Vitae Manipulation.
I think I'll join this again ^^ Just going to use my characters from the old thread, if that's okay?
xD "But it makes them look cool and thoughtful!"
Added a bit to the 1st post ^^
I did the same thing when I set up a new RP recently. Bad setup!
**NAME:** Jun Khando **AGE:** 23 **GENDER:** Male **ELEMENT:** Air **APPEARANCE:** ![enter image description here](http://data1.whicdn.com/images/71698379/large.jpg "enter image title here") Jun is marked by both an unusually tall height at just over 6'1” and an unhealthily thin weight of 130lbs – far beyond what he describes as merely a “long and lanky” shape. His ankles and wrists are weak, his lightweight bones plagued with brittleness and his body cursed with the unfortunate inability to maintain muscle. On colder, rainier days, a limp is emphasised as his joints lock up. While not an illness per se, Jun's condition is a combination of unlucky genetics and absolute refusal to fuse himself with technology as many of his family suffering the same plight have already done. Outwardly, though, Jun's face is always an unmistakeable picture of cheer and delight. With grey eyes, pale skin (which only adds to the sickly feeling) and the delicate features typical of an airbender heritage, the only thing contradicting his almost-traditional choice of apparel is his haircut, or lack thereof. With unkempt curly brown hair, untameable for the most part, he is by no means a monk. Overall, with his ever-present wolfish grin, Jun appears much younger than his actual age – almost as if he is still a teenager. Jun dresses in light synthetic fabrics – typically fawn and black to provide the illusion of real leather – though in terms of actual armour value it is rather light, focusing on flexibility and speed as well as being able to bend with him to prevent tearing or stiffness. He has an unusual preference for caps and has a collection of varying colours, as well as a bandana holding his long hair in place. During airbending, his old-fashioned slippers often fall off, though her refuses to replace them with a pair of shoes with actual laces. Mostly, Jun stands out for his *lack* of obvious technology in his dress and sort-of adherence to the primitive 'old ways' of elemental bending. He does, however, carry various interesting items in his many pockets that may include smoke bombs and flash grenades, portable holograms as well as a whole pocket full of plastic zipties to help with his vigilantism. His only lethal weapon is a steel garrotte, though he prefers to use whatever he can pick up around him – lead pipes are a favourite. **ABILITIES:** A talented airbender despite his woeful physical condition (which is surprisingly good, considering), Jun's skills in bending are not formally trained but easily effective due to the comparative rarity of his powers. Choosing to hone his speed over improving his pitiful strength was a wise choice – he is extremely swift, acrobatic in his movements and particularly good at evading attacks, following a similar style to the ancient Air Nomads. Through years of practice, his speed is well above the average bender's, though he focuses almost too much on that one area to tire out his opponent and *then* strike. Life in an impoverished area of the city has given him more than enough unpredictable attacks for his arsenal, and his fighting style is far from generic now. A few years of formal martial arts training by a has-been monk serves him well when added to his tactical use of gadgets – though nothing too high tech. Stealth is not his strong point, but cunning is, and he's not above using dirty techniques (like pocket sand!) to achieve his goals of not-dying. Jun uses the various wires and cables around the city to make his way around and has a good knowledge of alternate paths that require excellent balance – or an airbender's abilities – to cross. More than once he has taken a bedsheet from a washing line for a joyride using the air currents that howl between the draughty heights of the skyscrapers. He has had no luck creating an air sphere beneath him to whizz around on, but can push an enemy back when it comes to the raw force of the wind, wielding it almost like a blade at times. His day job – to predict the weather for the various television stations – has made him quite adept and guessing whether it's going to be rain or shine, too. **PERSONALITY:** Jun is, first and foremost, an extrovert. He dislikes loneliness – both in himself and others – and can be quite heavy-handed in his attempts to erase it, making friends with those who have none. He's about as subtle as a brick in that regard, easy-going and pleased to make friends “just for the sake of it”. As a dreamer, Jun has often been called lazy and foolish, his ambitions to become a police officer belittled more than once due to how impossible they were; his sense of justice was far stronger than his weak body. He is prone to impulsive decisions – such as helping to fight the crimes he sees while on his routine wandering of the city – but lives a strict path of no regrets and no apologies. It can be infuriating to others, since he refuses to repent for past actions and see that he has done wrong. It borders on the arrogant. **BRIEF BIO:** Jun comes from a family of airbenders fallen by the wayside due to poor health conditions and a lack of recognisable talent. While bending is common amongst his siblings and parents and aunts and uncles, very few of them opted to continue practising their childhood abilities due to the inevitable end of it: better to receive bionics and be able to work, than not and have only bending to live on. Jun, however, swore not to follow this path despite having more reason than others to replace his weak bones – he loved the freedom too much to choose a different path, and was too proud once on it to admit he was wrong to follow his dreams. His childhood, as a result, was marked by hard work spent in – arguably – the wrong places. School would be a footnote of future records of his achievements, he often told himself, and found himself other things to do rather than study. Jun never was the most intelligent, though he could have passed if he applied himself; however, he dropped out early and was eventually forced to get a job with the weather station on family connections alone, doomed to a monotonous application of airbending for the rest of his life. And then he decided that he couldn't become a functional member of society – couldn't allow the various crimes of the world to go unpunished – and thus began the barely-interesting story of the unnamed vigilante, preventing robberies and murders in alleyways everywhere. With how reckless he's been, it's a miracle he hasn't died yet, but it turns out all of the hours he put in as a child and teenager in an effort to become a big-name hero really did work.
Head of Clan Blackmoore
NAME: Alistair (Lindsay) Blackmoore AGE: 688, appears in his mid-twenties. TURNED: August, 1350 – was 24 years old at the time. BIO: Alistair's memories of his human past are disjointed at best. Others would call them “barely there”. They're like that by choice. If, by any chance, he begins to cheerily recite tales of his mortal life as a swordsman, or a soldier, or a nobleman, or a merchant, they are the most obvious of lies. What he does remember is that he was born in a medium-sized port town on the coast of Scotland, raised by up to fifteen mothers – only one of them biological – and he was dirt-poor. Naturally, his Mother was a prostitute, and he a bastard. Never destined for an education, never destined for greatness, never destined to be anything but just another street-rat. He was raised communally, mostly because his Mother was very poorly with a cocktail of disease and poverty when she had him. Nevertheless, she continued working in the brothel so that he didn't have to, at least until Alistair was independent enough to find work and shelter of his own. Alistair was ten years old when she died. Without a father, or any real guiding figure in his life, he resorted to theft and looting to survive with a band of misfits, most of whom at least had a home to return to at the end of the day, unlike him. When the Black Death rolled around, arriving in the town via ships and trade routes, the whole area was ravaged. The poorest fell first. Alistair was twenty when he was struck down by the virulent bubonic plague, though he lasted longer than most with a natural resistance to illness. Just before his inevitable death, he was inexplicably turned by his sire. The vampire was the acting chieftain of the original Clan Blackmoore, a group that sought to restore a barbaric way of life in the country. His duty as a young fledgeling was to combat enemy vampires on the moors when there was no blood around to drink and no shelter from sunlight. As the youngest in his group, he was either thrown diseased humans to drain dry or an enemy vampire. His early days of vampirism were marked by unquenchable thirst and unadulterated madness... but they served him well, allowing him a much higher tolerance for the blood of his own kind than many others would even dream of. Vampires changed during the Scottish territory wars grew into hardier stuff than most – those that survived to Alistair's age, at least. While starving in the moors, the leadership stubbornly refused to let anyone flee for their lives. Alistair had just enough charisma and relation to the by-then deceased chieftain to attract a small following. These vampires he led to safety, fighting through his own brothers and sisters alike. Since then, he has had a distaste for war as a whole; however, that doesn't mean he isn't good at it. From the late 1600s to the 1730s, Alistair spent his time travelling the world in something of a 'mid-life crisis', leaving his country in what he considered to be the capable hands of his Council in order to seek out talented and interesting folk to claim under his family name. When in the Carribbean, he found and turned Maria - mostly for her unique toughness for a women of the era - who is one of his most trusted companions, despite not being on the Council herself. His exploration of the world was cut short by the tumultuous political climate in his home country around 1730 and he was forced to return. He acquired a reputation as “the smiling tyrant” at the end of the Jacobite rebellions during which other vampires attempted to stage a coup to overthrow him. He and his faithful relentlessly weeded out the upstarts to execute them publicly along with their families and anyone associated with them. On the verge of being found out by vampire-hunters in the 1800s, he and those closest to him moved to New York City as it would be easier to blend in while drinking human blood there – after he eradicated his enemies in Scotland, of course. It wouldn't be good to be seen as "fleeing". TL;DR: died of the Black Death, fought in territory wars and then took control over Clan Blackmoore before moving to New York in the 1800s. PERSONALITY: Alistair is leadership material. Charismatic, humorous and ever-friendly, Alistair has ruled for so long by being nice to those he likes – those that follow the rules – and ruthlessly shutting down those he does not. He does have a tendency to be a little melodramatic but in general that's all a part of his extrovert persona. Nobody likes a stick in the mud, after all. Having lived for centuries now, he likes life to be spontaneous and utterly hates boredom and boring people. Alistair is honestly a reluctant family head. He just doesn't trust anyone else to keep their cool and spark a war when faced with even the minor conflicts he deals with on a day-to-day basis. He places a great emphasis on fairness and would never kill without what he perceives as just cause (though that can include drinking from humans – his morals are a little flexible). Despite being somewhat unselfish and generous when it comes to giving out wealth and kindness to others, he does hoard the pretty, expensive things in life, perhaps due to never having had them as a younger man. Not just material goods but people too, attractive in looks or personality. He's an eccentric, that's for sure. FAMILY: The Head of Clan Blackmoore
  • Freely allows drinking from humans in the city; however, explicitly forbids leaving them or any witnesses alive afterwards.
  • Within the clan, drinking from animal blood or frozen blood is frowned upon as it is seen as weak – only the most traditional vampires survive in Clan Blackmoore.
  • A newly turned vampire or one intending to be turned by a family member must be brought before the Council of Clan Blackmoore to be judged.
  • Overall, Blackmoore vampires place a high emphasis on survival. They are known for their uncompromising methods of dealing with troublesome, non-transient rogues: join Clan Blackmoore or die.
POWER: Control Over Disease – If he concentrates, Alistair can give humans and even vampires the sensation of feeling violently ill with close proximity to them. That includes nausea, dizziness, headaches and more. One minor ability that this also appears to grant him is a extremely high (near-immunity) to the side effects of vampire blood, regardless of age. SIDE:
  • Humans – Against, mildly. Sees vampire-kind as an advanced form of them. Humans are not worth his time.
  • The Kingston Family – Against, if only because of clashing morality. Thinks Mira is cute, if young.
  • Rogues – Against. Thinks them a danger to his own family and as vampire-kind as a whole.
  • Werewolves – No opinion.
WEAPON: Fights with a thin, exquisitely-crafted long sword as he believes it easier than ranged weapons to take out a vampire. Makes it much easier for him to behead a vampire, thus killing them. Rarely carries his handgun, except in rare cases. OTHER:
  • A free spirit, amused by and often in support of human activism and protests. Donates extensively to charity schemes seeking to prevent human trafficking and prostitution.
  • Occasionally (every few decades) attends university as either a student or a lecturer for one of three subjects: History, Gaelic, or Theatre Studies. He might be a savage, but at least he's an educated savage.
  • Was a key player in the Jacobite Rebellions and took part in both World Wars for a change of pace, though in the latter he was dealing with a hostile vampire presence in Europe making waves under the cover of human politics.
