“I admit, I have my own reasons for wanting to see the end of the Angar-Rylla.” The Clockwork Man said finally after a moment of pensive waiting with Rarenrar staring directly at him. He couldn’t confess to really caring about the plight of the masses should a tolatarian regime be put into place by the rapidly expanding empire… such was the way of the world, but he had been promised something very important to him should he combat the greatest threat the Nexus had ever faced. He couldn’t pass up on the opportunity, and if he had to ally with murderers so be it.

The Mystan Elder to the Clockwork Man was a similar tool, he was to finish the matrix of the spider to better allow the Clockwork Man to combat his foes who’s strange alien technology was far beyond even his control. Still, here was a potential set of allies who had plans… people who could do real damage beyond the Clockwork Man’s vague schemes.

“If you have a plan in place to stop them, then I suppose I can forgive your interference with my own business.” He looked at the Mystan Elder to emphasise his point. “I assume you have some idea where this Omnicron may be located?” He asked cautiously, not yet pledging himself to any cause.
You only have to take damage if you get hit, it makes contact, or you try and defend against it.

If you have the potential to escape then you can, though most people use pretty wide range attacks when they've charged so much, which makes escaping pretty difficult. I don't know if Khan's character has the ability to eat away the ground or whatever, but if he does it's a more than legitimate escape for an attack which relies on floaty elemental damage.

Getting creative would have been the better option, I like to see charges like characters special abilities in fighting games. They're OP as fuck, but if you unleash them willy-nilly on a character completely prepared for them they just get blocked. It's all in the set-up.

I don't suppose you have a video or something of what you're doing Khan, it's kind of hard to picture.

I get your character is supposed to be strong, but this transitioning into a horizontal slash business immediately after thrusting with a fully extended (7 feet away and what-not.) two handed sword is hard to imagine.

I mean, is the momentum coming simply from his body movements (as there's hardly any mention of him really swinging the sword)? I'm not sure the sword would really be moving fast enough to actually hurt anyone considering Vanarus is hovering maybe ten inches away from it at most. That's if it can even be positioned correctly to hit him, which would be difficult in itself considering Vanarus dived into a fencing lunge and then pulled back again. What your character would have to be doing is pretty much precise, foil-esque movements with what I can only assume is a fully extended gargantuan sword. Because if he's taking the time to re-position the sword there's no way he's going to be hitting Vanarus, even with your characters super-human abilities (Which I'd say put us on even ground, because we're both toting superhuman stats) what you're essentially saying is that a fencer is being defeated by a claymore in terms of pure agility. I could buy powering through Vanarus' guard, and your armour blocking his attacks, but matching his riposte before Vanarus' own strike even lands with a weapon much heavier immediately after a thrust seems unlikely at best.

Anyway, I'd appreciate a video or whatever of the movement you're describing. I assume you must have seen it somewhere, I can't imagine ever using it myself unless I'd seen it was possible -and- effective.
There's never been anything stopping people from doing their own thing to contribute to an overarching story-line, as long as you try and focus your efforts towards a general narrative (forming alliances and rivalries, fighting over stuff) rather than random non-helpful fights then it's all good.

For Card: How strong is the taser? Can't have you going around shocking everyone back to life, like a one man medic.

Well, I'm not 'Merican so I don't know exactly how strong your tasers are, but it could probably drop a fairly hefty man. If you want a limitation on it you can decide when it runs out of power.

(Without telling me, I love surprises.)
I guess it just couldn't survive the exam period.

No worries though, live and learn.

Vanarus had of course calculated his opponent’s reach and stepped just within range of it, mimicking the wiggling maggot pierced upon the hook while he was in fact the hungry fisherman. It was just enough to provoke an attack, albeit a probing one, without endangering the Vampire, who could easily skip away from any strike his burly foe deemed it wise to launch from such distance. However, he was all too content to observe him, his casual stance further hiding his own skills while he took in the heavy-handed approach of his bigger opponent.

Neatly, as one may expect from a vampiric opponent far faster than any mortal man, and with reflexes to match, Vanarus skipped slightly back and to the left of the encroaching sword point, avoiding near certain death by a perilous degree, the blade barely scraped his cloak. What his opponent had perhaps overlooked was that although Vanarus had seemed out of reach before, now he quickly settled into a more traditional fencing style and lunged low and forward on his right foot, his sword piercing through the air quicker than the cumbersome sword could adjust to parry the push-cutting attack aimed at his opponent’s sword wrist and forearm.

The unfortunate issue with such an attack for Vanarus was that it was not going to have a hope in hell of doing any lasting damage to his foe, if it even cut through the armour at all. Such a sacrifice had to be made however if he wanted to gain anything from his initial advantage, that of his previously unknown speed and fighting style.

Regardless, hoping he had managed to make his small cut unscathed with his surprising burst of inhuman speed, Vanarus quickly pulled back and further to the left, aiming to cause a pulling-cut with his rapier as he pulled his weight back and moved out of harm’s way. Provided he escaped without his opponent swinging his beast of a sword into his body, he would settle the same distance as before away from his foe and begin to circle clockwise, his footwork reminiscent of a more traditional fencing style, right leg slightly forward with the knee bent, and the left leg back pointed away from his body, poised to propel Vanarus forth should he wish to make another strike.

He raised his blade slightly, no longer fully extended but slightly upturned, brandished with an unnecessary and slightly theatrical flourish. Vanarus had seldom opportunity to duel with someone who thought it wise to bring a claymore into a private battle, and he was interested to see if the reach was worth every other limiting factor of such a weapon.
It was that disappointment you're feeling now that eventually swayed my decision.
Yep, provided Khan wants the position he can have my vote, he's the only one with a plan.
There you go Rilla, know that I considered for a long time playing a paramedic called the Messiah.
