Probably, I have a tendency to slow down when I need some time to consider the next flurry of moves.
Eh, fair enough.

In future you would have to explain the effects the rings have of increasing the force of the strike at least once in IC if you expect your opponent to accept the damage it can cause. I was aware your rings had some sort of momentum increasing ability, but I wasn't technically obligated to have Fury injured by your initial attack any more than if it had just been a stand-up attack. Even your characters strength isn't necessarily taken into account unless you make note of the sort of damage it -could- cause, that's where I usually reference the damage my strike would do to a normal human for reference sake.

Just a pointer for T1 fighting, I'm sure not everyone follows the rules but it also just makes for better reading, as you can't expect any audience you may have to know the characters involved or to have even read the sheets at all.
Also for your own benefit there is no way Fury's strike would have broken Kanitah's nose, our characters are of comparable strength, so I doubt Kanitah has had his bones broken by his own people by a single fairly weak attack. For the most part we can compare this fight to two relatively similar humans boxing, as our stats are comparable.

If Fury was in his Unbridled Form and using martial force, then yes, but not in his normal form.
You could probably do with explaining the effects of your abilities a little better, at the moment you're taking for granted that I understand how rings on your forearm are going to cause a usually pretty ineffective strike to disable Fury's arm.

I actually don't, because you only have abilities you explain in IC, so I rely on people to explain them so I don't have to read CS. If you strike me with the rings and don't bother to explain that they numb people's bodies or something and then point to your CS it doesn't count for anything, that's how tournaments like WOTW ran in the past where you never actually get to see your opponent's character sheet.

Unless we're not working with T1, but I don't really fight in any other fashion.
I'm gonna go ahead and take the hit.

But just for future reference, point your left arm forward and bend it so that your arm runs parallel with your chest. Then raise it upwards sharply. That's the movement he made. Not aimed to block, but to strike.

I understand that, if you wanted to block you would have moved your hand in front of your face, but try moving your arm from around chest height to your head in that fashion and then watch the speed at which a basic jab causes your fist to move within striking range and back, I'm not sure which of our characters is quicker but the jab is a significantly faster move, it is designed after all to be incredibly difficult to counter, making it low risk low reward.
I would figure the strike upwards would at least move Fury's arm over Kanitah's head. But I can go ahead and write Kanitah getting punched in the face, if you'd like.

I don't think it's viable to defend yourself from a jab with the forearm, it's too quick a strike and the forearm had to move too far.

It's worth mentioning that your character isn't in Fury's guard anymore, he's right at the edge of his reach, with only a small area of contact to work with. It doesn't take much time at all for Fury's arm to move into Kanitah's range and then back out again, especially with a jab.

You just have to look at how quickly someone can throw that punch to see that trying to brush it away would be incredibly difficult, it's far faster than moving ones arm up to brush it away.

The flip side being that a jab doesn't really do much damage, from a wider standpoint.
Uh, if your character attempts to defend himself in that manner he would be punched in the face, so I'm not sure how to proceed.
Pundambayans are short for that exact reason.

Indeed, though I'd prefer the reach, sort of like Mayweather and Pac, easy to fight defensively.
Fury was not to be lucky enough to score the first strike and unfortunately there was to be a cost for over-extending without success. His opponent moved inside quickly, benefiting from his short stature immensely against the comparably gigantic Fireen. However, Fury was aware of this disadvantage, and had been ready to pull back even before Kanitah managed to duck his strike and close the distance. Like any good fighter he was hardly willing to sacrifice the advantage of reach in a straight up fist-fight, so his right foot instinctively drew back and his left arm rose to check his opponent’s counter, blocking the strike heading for his chest with his arm and deflecting away some of its force, while also turning his body from the strike and moving backwards.

It still hurt, but Fury could remain on his feet because he was braced for the strike. With nimble footwork he bounced back another pace, Kanitah now once again too far to strike at him, his stance returned he lashed out with his slightly tingling left arm with a warding jab towards Kanitah’s face, preventing him from trying to close the distance again. If Kanitah tried to press he would have to face Fury’s full force, where-as he could hardly hold his ground while he was being struck without being able to fight back. Fury was light on his feet, and more than capable of drawing Kanitah into a mistake that would allow the Fireen to unleash hell upon him.
Just thought I'd point out that although Kanitah does have an advantage ducking because he's pretty short Fury's strike is still a punch driving downwards and was aimed at his nose in the first place, so ducking under it cleanly would be difficult, it would probably just come down on the top of Kanitah's head instead.

Actually scratch that, he is even shorter than I remember, he probably could have ducked under it.
