<Snipped quote by Skallagrim>

Due to technicalities, a woman is able to defeat him easily.

Sounds like a certain loop hole in the Witch King's invulnerability shield.
Brennus had a moment to brace himself as the spear thrust came in, surprisingly directly at his shield. The shock of it was jarring as a splintering sound erupted in the Arena, causing the crowd to roar its approval. The extra weight on his left arm told him one thing; his opponent’s heavy spear had pierced straight through the wood and narrowly avoided skewering him as well. Acting purely on instinct the Iceni warrior twisted his left hand clockwise and forward causing his shield to spin and snag on the spear which had pierced a couple of inches through it. After encumbering the weapon and even possibly twisting it out of his foe’s hand he immediately abandoned his shield and his left hand flew to his spear, allowing him a better grip on the weapon.

With both hands on the spear and his opponent encumbered by the Celtic shield stuck on the end of his weapon Brennus had been given a golden opportunity. He was on the wrong side of his opponent unfortunately, coming in at his left hand side where he was shielded, but he could now move freely and did so, circling around him with the distance between them constant, he struck with both hands at his spear to provide added force, aiming for his opponent’s left thigh.
'Merricccccaaaaa

Nah, but seriously the worst we have to deal with is a couple drug killings a year, though last year a guy was beheaded with a machete outside my local park for drug reasons, at about 7pm.

Druggies be crazy.
True, maybe we should time skip as soon as anyone has wrapped up any immediate conversations in the hall.

Good way to end the introduction chapter.
Anyway, the main issue is that so far I've seen no reason why I should budge and change the nature of my response to your grab, I'll happily do so if someone convinces me with some real life examples or the like of our situation though.

Also, this conversation should probably be in our fight thread q.q ;d
The point here is that although you may attempt to catch Fury's foot, it probably isn't going to happen. You may have used your hands to soften an otherwise CRUSHING BLOW on Kanitah's knee cap, but actually gaining purchase and catching the foot from this kick just doesn't make sense.

The way I've been rationalizing strength vs weight is by assuming our characters are able to use their own strength to prevent themselves going flying in most circumstances.

Fury can also use energy to this end, which gives him an added advantage.
No, the full length of the kick works against you in this case, because you only have a very short point of contact (the end of the foot and maybe his ankle.) If you had stepped forward or something in order to gain purchase over more of the leg that would help, but as it stands your dealing with a fast moving point at the end of a leg.
Alrighty let's get outta the castle and into the big wide world.
You should send an invite to all the currently inactive people on the ranking list, if they're part of the team they should get in the game ^_^
