Damnit, you need to remember to say when those rings are coming into play because I can't remember where they are all the time. I was under the impression that it was Fury's shoulder vs your knee, in which his armour would leave him relatively unscathed, but if you're utilizing your rings then his armour would probably be shattered, as it's particularly vulnerable to blunt force.

Also, do your rings simply work off momentum of contact then? I remember reading (this was like a year ago though) that they activated by multiplying the force of Kanitah's blows, but do they in fact just multiply the damage of any contact between Kanitah and an opponent? The distinction is sort of important.
Fury’s grunted as the armour and shielding of his right shoulder took the brunt of the knee blocking the path into Kanitah’s stomach. Fury was adept at mastering his pain however, especially when his rage began to get the better of him, and by his reckoning he was still somewhat functional. With only one leg on the ground Fury could far more quickly sweep Kanitah off his one remaining foot with his right hand, and Fury pushed his head as close to Kanitah’s right side as possible despite the obstructive presence of his knee. This helped protect him from Kanitah, who tried to rain a blow down upon him but was slowed somewhat by Fury’s energy blasts, giving the Fireen time to complete his takedown slightly more messily than he had hoped.

Kanitah fell and Fury landed on top of him side on, so they formed a sort of humanoid cross. With side control quickly maintained Fury slipped forward and then leftward, bringing his right elbow up to ram it into the left side of Kanitah’s chin and hopefully daze him while he tried to keep him locked down with his left arm.
Okay, I can understand how attempting to knee Fury before you go to ground would be a way to get some damage in, but I don't really see how Kanitah would also find it possible to direct an attack at Fury's head while he's being slammed into the ground. The proximity is one limiting factor, Fury's energy blasts into the path of his arms is another (this served what would in a human fight been popping Kanitah's elbows up to get under his guard, though Kanitah's arm being in the air did half of this for him.)

I'm just going to make my post with how I think the grab would go down now, as this is unfamiliar ground for me as well.
Innue, can I request that you re-evaluate Tuuj's character for future rounds. It's almost inconceivable that my character can win this battle, but after re-reading the sheet a few times I find it hard to believe any character under the so-called low/mid powered bracket here could beat the character build.

My complaints are fairly simple.

Tuuj's character has an incredibly proficient shielding ability which seems to require little to no energy consumption, control, or any other limitation or sacrifice, this effectively negates a wide range of ranged projectiles, though particularly bullets in my case.

They are capable of manifesting freezing cold temperatures across a large battlefield in the form of a hailstorm, with little to no side effects and an energy regeneration rate of what seems to be a matter of minutes.

They can fly, effectively negating melee attacks upon them save for other flying characters and a few select circumstances, because their own attacks are primarily ranged.

Now, perhaps I am just unlucky and with my nerfed ranged weapons have met a perfect counter for my character, but I have to ask what sort of character -is- effective against this build, especially at this tier level. It seems to be too high for the tournament.

Just something to consider. I'd have mentioned it earlier but you had essentially told me to stfu when I initially voiced my concerns. I just care a lot less now as I'm resigned to the inevitable.
I'm aware of the damage potential of the round, but lava is hot enough to combust a human being just from proximity, not to mention burning gases destroying your lungs and all manner of other terrible options. If you gave an ordinary human (even one wearing a bullet proof vest) the option of having a bucket of lava thrown over them or being shot by a 40mm round, which do you honestly think they would take their chances with?
Hmm, I'm not that familiar with wrestling style moves but would lifting your knee up work? Surely it would just make it easier for Fury to swipe the other leg out from under Kanitah instead as he's reduced his stability. Hell, I'm not even sure if Kanitah could stand up on one leg against Fury slamming into him.

It doesn't matter much, but as this is unranked I want this fight to be as accurate as possible. I hate the idea of people who've done a lot of practical fighting looking at my fights and rolling their eyes.
Jok watched his opponent’s movements for a few moments noting that she, for he had now determined his foe to be a female humanoid, had already picked out his general location and was playing special attention to the area. He had no idea how this was possible, crouching stock still in dense foliage and with an abundance of training in guerrilla warfare (on a planet in which one has to remember the predominant species, Ramor, have exceptional eye-sight.) Still, after all he had seen he thought it safe to assume she must have some other kind of super-natural power to detect his likely location, which just set the odds against him that much more.

Beneath his face mask he grinned boyishly, though there was a twist to his lips that turned the expression sour.

Having had more than sufficient time to gauge his opponent’s movements and distance, as well as prevailing weather conditions, the highly trained Ramor soldier was confident he could hit with over 33% of his rounds even with a submachine gun. With the suppressor inbuilt in his SMG muzzle flare would be negated and the sound of his discharge would be significantly quieter, more of a rattle and pop rather than a loud telling bang. He was confident that to discover his location from the sound of his shots would be difficult, so there was no better time than the present.

Sighting his opponent carefully he quickly squeezed the trigger in three bursts, sending around fifteen shots towards his foe as she remained out in the open. It was frustrating to see the obvious effect that seemed to be slowing his rounds, but they should still be quick enough. Though Jok could not know this, his rounds would still cover the paltry distance in about a fifth of a second, so reacting to the bullets would be difficult at best.

By his estimate about half of his rounds were near the target, though on closer examination only five of the shots would hit in a horizontal pattern around centre of mass, spanning from one arm to the other and everything in between. After firing he had immediately dropped low and shuffled backwards, moving further into foliage to cover his relocation.
I think considering the nature of Arena, what you gain from losing in experience is more important than some consolation points, but for the sake of an accurate as possible leader-board I think it would be best to have no change when you lose a fight.
His Mech computer system tracked the round as it made contact with his armoured foe; shattering against whatever strange material he was clothed in. The lack of crippling impact was not a surprise to Higan, but his Mech still announced ‘negligible affect on target,’ he sighed inwardly.

“Alright, let’s try something else.” While allowing his Mech to continue firing and automatically adjusting he considered his options, even as his foe gathered himself and began running towards and around him. He was coming in at his right side, which meant his Mech had to swivel in order to keep him within the Rifle’s firing arc. As his Mech was turning, Higan had the machine back up and strafe rightwards, keeping some additional distance from his foe and also providing a moving target. It was also easier to keep his foe locked in if he moved to some degree with him.

Suddenly, his Mech identified an incoming threat; his foe had launched his disc-like weapon towards them. As his computer system reeled off the danger of the incoming threat he found himself in a fairly unique situation, being able to actually avoid a projectile coming at him rather than avoiding further hits. Deciding he had no interest in testing the damage capabilities of the foreign weapon he suddenly changed the direction of his run, with the Mech’s right foot settling onto ashy-ground it burst off and immediately cancelled out its rightward momentum, darting leftward instead as the disc bounced off the far side of the curved leg armour, unable to find purchase or produce the necessary pressure to cut effectively without scoring a direct hit. It still grazed the armour, something his computer system was keen to point out, as Higan controlled his Mech calmly.

“My turn again eh.” He laughed, catching his foe about to be perforated by another of his rifle rounds, his Mech turned to face him, the Machine suddenly stood stock still and braced itself, and about half a second after the rifle round fired from the secondary weapon Higan unleashed his primary. The boom of the tank gun firing a HE round towards his foe was striking in the near empty environment, but would the joint offensive of both rifle round and anti-tank round be able to damage his armoured foe?
I edited the post.

Fire wouldn't instantly kill someone, I wouldn't think, at these levels, so if someone can get past the agony they could likely get in a last couple of attacks.

I'm making the comparison between my Mech's gun which you said is unfair because it would kill someone of a lower defense and your own character's fire attacks. Only one of these weapons is a clear-cut insta-kill to lower tiers.
