Yeah, that giant bear has had some weird fights, then again it is a giant bear.
Adrian regarded the man silently, his eyes boring holes into Alphonse even as a heat rose up through his cold undead body. Thump Thump… Thump Thump… the heartbeat, the rushing blood, god he wanted it. There was something about how he stood though, this man, he was not easy prey. Adrian was not one to look for a difficult confrontation simply to test himself, he’d rather just drain the life from some defenceless woman and be on his way. Hell, it was usually more satisfying anyway. Did he wish to pass then, to return to his haunt and sleep off the day?

“This is my forest
If any may claim ownership
over such a place.”

He was surprised by the words even as they left his lips. Still, this was his home after all, this intruder should have listened to the stories, he should have known to fear the creature that stalked the dark forest. He looked at Alphonse and suddenly snarled, his fangs bared.

“There is a toll here
There is a price to be paid
I’ll be taking blood.”

His left hand shot up, bow raised, his right diving to the arrows at his hip and neatly drawing one from the quiver. It was nocked to the string before a human could blink an eye. Drawn back with the strength of a Vampire, released in one smooth motion, the arrow span in flight, covering the scant twenty feet between them in an instance, it neatly slotted between trees, driving towards the centre of Alphonse’ chest. His hand dipped low to the quiver even as he loosed, his left foot forward and the muscle of his leg flexed, as if preparing to retreat.
Fury’s feet touched down as he righted himself, watching Kanitah launch himself across the ground and land about ten feet away. His eyes narrowed in minor annoyance at his foe’s speedy escape from an incredibly perilous situation; however Fury felt revitalised even in the brief contact they had shared. With stolen energy pulsing through his veins he felt comfortable that he could continue the fight with even greater pressure, and to that end he began to clench and unclench his right hand, causing a brief glowing blue light to emanate with each motion. Kanitah had to spend some time sorting himself out, which gave Fury the perfect opportunity to give him a taste of the Fireen’s real power.

Fury settled into something like a boxing stance with his left shoulder closer to Kanitah, his right hand continuing to flex as he built up energy in the palm of his hand and then condensed it, packing a huge volume of explosive potential into a small space. His teeth gritted at the effort, but it was a good pain.
I always try and say how fast my characters can react, fifteen times human peak is incredibly fast reflexes, you're talking taking in a situation and being able to react to it with actual thought and considering in what would seem like the exact same moment to an ordinary human. (This is different to humans, who react fast in fights particularly due to muscle memory, which means they don't have to think about what they're doing.)
Can you not stop rolling sideways? Because I can, it's fundamental in knowing how to fight on the ground. And unless I was going at like 120 mph, the momentum is pretty easily overcome by just tensing up your core and planting one foot to the ground.

Also, flying overhead to get behind him. Is the obvious bit.

On his shoulder, he stopped mid roll.

Yes, you can stop yourself from rolling over usually, but I can't stop myself rolling if I've decided to roll down a hill for example, considering Kanitah was bucking fairly wildly to try and overcome Fury's -significant- strength, I think it would be fair to say he was exerting a large amount of effort into the roll.

That, coupled with the sudden and IMO unexpected movement of Fury suddenly releasing his resistance, meant that Kanitah had to react to Fury suddenly not being present and then recognise what Fury was doing, neither I think would be easy to realise just before your momentum threw you over. Kanitah does have insane reflexes though, so I suppose I can't question it if you say he can realise that quickly what was happening and react.

I'm not going to contest the rolling situation because I don't fully understand what's going on, and a reset isn't that big a deal for Fury now as I said he's got some energy to fight effectively with again.
I don't mind as such, but what Fury was doing was hardly piteously obvious, your opponent suddenly relinquishing a hold and using their ability to fly is hardly combat 101, especially as Kanitah's own momentum really should have caused him to roll before he could stop himself.

wait, what do you mean when you're saying Kanitah is looking over his right shoulder at Fury, is he on his belly/hands and knees or on his back?
Alright, I guess I'll do something else, Fury has most of his options available now with the energy he drained.
Kanitah is still facing upwards though? So is there anything in particular stopping Fury from just following him using his ability to fly? Not sure how this would necessarily change anything.
Higan watched the lance slam into the ground perilously close to his location as his mech became stationary about forty feet from his opponent’s landing point. Not a second later his supernatural foe Saanga crashed into the earth, shattering ashen ground and spewing up a cloud of smoke and dust. Higan hadn’t counted for the fact that his opponent could transfer so much momentum safely into the earth around him, and hesitated for just a moment as he realised what he needed to do.

“Gotta chase the nimble bastard!” Higan laughed, diverting his mech to start pounding after Saanga over the battlefield, it’s incredibly long strides giving it cause to keep pace with him easily, and potentially catch him. The moment he cleared the obstructive ash cloud he noted Saanga had turned around and was making good progress running off in the opposite direction. Higan immediately opened fire with his secondary weapon, the huge rifle, sending a round hurtling towards Saanga’s armoured back.

As the mech charged forward it levelled its right arm at the foe, and a whirring sound announced the tertiary weapons devastating storm just before it was unleashed. The chain gun spurted a huge volume of smaller rounds at Saanga’s back, less accurate but with far more numbers, coupled with the sharp snap of the rifle rounds all of the Mech’s fire should whittle away at the armoured defences of his foe, certainly slowing down any frontal repair process.
So just so I have this right, Kanitah is facing upwards when he uses his freedom of movement to kick himself away from underneath Fury? Is Fury's arm still loosely around his neck at this point? (as I said, Fury would allow his arm to go loose to give Kanitah freedom to roll, but it would still be loosely around his neck to aid in reinstating the choke.)
