I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

@Roze: I have a small, small question, though I think the answer is unlikely to be yes. :P Could Thorin and Rozalia be involved in romance? It's merely a random thought.
On the contrary, I think that'd be a cool idea! I was going to ask too; would your three characters want to journey with Rawlith and Roze? Five seems to be a decent amount for a group. And sorry to see you go aegyfolk! Feel free to leave your CS and whatnot on, and post up a departure for your character, just in case you can come back in the future. :)
Heya Teal! So, I've dropped Gifted - I see you have too. Man, it was good at first, but it just got.. bleh. Not only were there too mnay characters, but the storyline got all messed up, what with different timelines to different characters. And some of the characters were just terrible, so that didn't help. Anyways, I'm glad to be able to focus more on this one. I was hoping we could condense the art class to one or two posts between us? I'm really looking forward to the Disconnection. Also, are Steph and Ethan going to get involved in romance and whatnot? I'm interested to see - if you're interested, that is - when and how their first kiss will play out. :)
Swiftly scurrying after Ethan, Steph placed her things beside Ethan and sat down. Unlike the other classrooms, that had individual desks, the art classroom had tables set out so four to six people could sit on them. She herself sat on a table with two other people, both of which sat a bit away from her and were completely immersed in their work; which worked out very well for Steph, as she preferred to not have to converse when working. However, she had noticed that Ethan had picked the most solitary table; either that, or people had avoided that one on purpose, which Steph couldn’t understand, as Ethan was fairly calm in this lesson, as opposed to the others. It was probably because of the teacher. Ah, the teacher; Mr. Hansen. It was no secret that most of the girls – and probably some boys - in the school had a crush on him. Even Steph had to admit – the guy was attractive. Tall, smouldering looks, stylish stubble and a ‘devil-may-care’ attitude, he was one the most favoured teachers in the school. However, he taught a subject most of the popular kids disliked, as it actually required some talent to do, so his classes were seldom peppered by loud-mouthedness or boisterous behaviour. Despite his easy-going nature, he was quite strict about homework, but that was about it. In terms of seating, people could do whatever they wanted, as long as they got the work done. So, Steph took a seat with Ethan, doubting that anyone would particularly notice it. “Y’know, we don’t have to bunk off if you don’t want to.” Steph leaned towards Ethan as she said this in a low voice, as if anyone would wander in and bust them before they even managed to leave. “But, if you really do want to, I have an excuse we can use.” She added as an afterthought, smiling just ever so slightly, her black curls brushing Ethan’s shoulder as she was that close. Steph was finding it astounding how comfortable she could feel being this close to someone, someone she only just really met about an hour before; and yet, she felt as though she had known him all of her life. And yet, she was still unsure about revealing her ability to Disconnect to him. Perhaps later, when they could be alone in her hiding place. Yeah... she’d tell him then.
Niko felt an all-too familiar pang by his heart at the dark look the woman had shot him. He himself, was not racist. Never in his life had he discriminated someone for something they could not control – whether it be upbringing, race, or gender. But he was used to receiving glares, insults, or even violence because he was a Nord. Living in Cyrodiil as a Nord, both he and his Father had been looked down upon by many other races. Certain Imperials thought them as idiotic dogs and Thalmor passing through wouldn’t hesitate to check their home for Talos worship. Not that they ever found anything – their family hid their worship well enough. But never had Niko branded an entire race over something a certain group of them did; neither did Leo, but that was honestly because he never thought too much on the subject. Even when moving to Skyrim, Leo had been mistrusted by plenty of Nords – but he never noticed, too immersed in his work. On top of this discomfort, Niko felt almost saddened by this woman’s reaction. A Snow Elf – and he knew she was a Snow Elf; he wasn’t fooled – who was most likely thousands of years old, still had discrimination in her mind. He was aware of the history of the Falmer; thanks to his years of study of the Dwemer, the Falmer had fallen into his books and whatnot with ease – so he knew of the atrocities that her race had endured. Most of them from the Man races; most of them from the Nords. But the fact that someone with so much age and experience could still distrust – or perhaps even hate – someone for their race was saddening. Rather than mentioning this, he instead hooked the Falmer dagger (He had seen similar designs in weapons found in Dwemer ruins he had sought out prior to now – she was most definitely a Snow Elf, in his opinion) onto his own belt, and looked back at her own belt. On it were various pouches, one of which was obviously a book of some sort, wrapped in hide and suspended from her belt. He didn’t touch it – a book couldn’t cause much damage, and he had no interest of taking it from her. It obviously had some emotional or monetary wealth if she had it with her. Listening to what both Dreet-Na and Valerion had said, Niko was silent for a moment, mulling it over. He had her daggers, Valerion her bow. She could use magic, but what would she gain by attacking them now? Taking his own dagger in hand – his emergency one tucked in his boot – he cut the woman’s bonds at both ankle and wrist, gathering up the rope and looking back into her blue eyes. If she planned on sticking around – which he hoped she would – he would like to prove that he wasn’t one of these ‘racist Nords’ she feared so much. “We’ll return your weapons to you in the morning – you’re free to sleep by the fire with us, and leave after that.” He said, still crouching on the balls of his feet and was just about eye-level with her. She looked to be just shorter than himself, by a good few inches. She certainly had the height of an Altmer, that was certain. “And we’ve got more than enough food for tonight, if you’re hungry...” He paused, realizing he hadn’t even asked her name. He couldn’t help but smile as a thought drifted back into his mind as his parents talked to him about various manners – and somehow, his Mother had worked the possibilities of courting into the conversation as well - from back in his youth. “First thing! If you meet someone – especially a girl – ask them their name. And remember it. There’s nothing more embarrassing than forgetting someone’s name.” “Ah, excuse me. What was your name?” He added politely, still smiling. ------------------------------- Roze had listened in curiously alongside Ildrun, her smile peaking as she overheard something most interesting. “Huh... that’s why.” She murmured, glancing at Ildrun. “She’s a Snow Elf!” ”A Snow Elf?! Leo spoke up suddenly and loudly, earning a swift slap on the leg from Roze and a ‘shush!’. From what she had heard, Roze doubted that this new girl wanted her existence getting out. Nor did she want some Imperial idiot fawning over her and asking endless questions about her people. “She must be really lonely.” Rozalia muttered, and then stood up as the smell of cooked meat wafted over her. “Hopefully she stays. Anyway, I’ll bring some food over. Leo, how about you speak to Ildrun without flirting?” She suggested brightly, before walking over to Rawlith, standing close and tapping him on his arm. “Nice job on stopping an early execution.” She murmured with a grin, glancing at Valerion, who was still glaring – or she assumed he was glaring; the guy hardly ever took that helmet of his off – at their captive. She then turned her gaze to the spit over the fire, where the ribs were cooking. Mmm. Ribs. Now, living on the streets, you took what you could get when it came to food, but ribs remained to be her number one preference. She recalled a memory of some ribs she had tried in Imperial City at 17 years old. She had just arrived a few weeks beforehand, and had just come into contact with the Thieves Guild. Although aware she wasn’t joining, the Guild had invited her to take a meal with them. Pork Ribs, slathered in the most beautiful sauce she had ever tasted, had been the main dish. Fair to say, she had gnawed on them like a wolf in the wilds, all while managing to mutter a swift ‘thank-you’ to the Redguard chef that had cooked them. She’d never had food like that afterwards (It had been a rare feast, even by the Guild’s standards), but any ribs she tried now reminded her of that, and brought back sweet memories. “They smell amazing, Rawlith.” She said as she inhaled deeply, mouth already watering. They’d had slim pickings in their journey so far. Mostly just dried meats, stale bread, and lumps of cheese, they’d encountered only two rabbits that had made a fairly weak stew. Rozalia was used to feeling hungry, so it hadn’t bothered her so much – however, the people from more sheltered backgrounds than hers (That was, most people in the group), had complained extensively and loudly about their grumbling stomachs. ---------------------------------------- Leo sighed at Rozalia’s sly comment, but he turned his eyes to Ildrun anyway. Things were still looking somewhat blurry, but her dark-orange hair stood out, as did the shape of her face and body, and her vivid green eyes. Even his currently impaired vision, he could tell she was pretty. And quite short for a Nord too. “Sorry about the seemingly callous comment before.” He said with a more natural grin, sitting up with a wince. The Snow-Elf had certainly put him down on his ass. “So, Ildrun. What made you want to join the suicide squad? It’s not fair game killing dragons, I would guess.”
Okay, so the links to the characters located in the OOC section aren't working - don't know if that's just me, or what, but I'm having a 'fuck it all' feeling, so if y'all have any suggestions, that'd be mighty helpful.
This Roleplay is now closed! However, if you are particularly interested, please PM myself, or either of the two co-GMs (That's Leos Klien, and ManoftheNorth), and we'll notify you if there's been a change. :)
FINALLY UPDATED THE OOC! So, I've added all the charries under one list, so people can find them with more ease, and I've put up a list of roleplayers and their status. I've kept certain people on so if you see their character posts still in the IC, you can take a look at their sign-ups still. I apologize immensely if I've missed anyone off - please check to see if I have. :) I shall now rustle up an IC post myself.
Sorry about my disappearance - when you say the club is closed, do you mean only to new characters? If not, do I have to redo my intro, or can I copy and paste my beginning post into the IC?
Got an interesting post up, I hope anyway >.<
Like the writing style, it really fits the genre but on the whole Falmer bit; it feels like metagaming on how fast we can identify her race.
I can sort of see where you're coming from, but texts and whatnot still exist from the past to show what she is. Also, she looks nothing like any other race - most similar to Altmer, she still has many differences, the main one being her hair, skin and eye colour. Not to mention her dagger; which I'm going to have Niko mention. As stated in his bio, he's done lots of research into ancient civilizations. Although not having delved all that much into Snow Elves - as there isn't an astounding amount to learn, due to lack of evidence - he's done a lot of work in Dwemer studies; and within these Dwemer ruins and whatnot, I would have no doubt that Falmer things still existed. Such as weapons.
Sure Wolf - I thought I'd already posted a yes, but it hasn't gone on. >:/ Go right ahead. :) And you don't have to worry so much about the list of spells. These things can take time and development to think of.
