Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

"You're kidding me... it's morning already?" Roze groaned to herself, holding an arm over her eyes as her irritating alarm clock alerted her to the start of the day. After a good few years of no school or responsibilities at her Dad's fancy beach house, sleep-ins had been normal. She'd hadn't had to wake up early in so damn long. And her body was not taking the change well.
"It's gonna be a long ass day."

Eventually dragging herself out of her hammock, she began blasting loud music through her earphones to wake herself up. Probably not too healthy for the eardrums, but Roze wasn't particularly wanting to still be half-asleep on her first day of class. Which happened to be...
"Power Management. Fabulous. So much for keeping my powers quiet." She muttered to herself as she stared at her timetable. After the party on the first night of her arrival, Roze had pretty much explored the campus rather than make friends - that would be a job to begin when class started - so that meant for everyone else, her parents were a mystery. Her time was also taken up with her sleeping arrangements.

When it came to sleeping, Roze was particularly picky. She hated sleeping on the floor, or close to the floor. So, although the bed given to her was comfy as hell, it was no good. She'd been known to sleep in trees in the past, simply just to get that weightless feeling. She supposed it came from having Poseidon as her Dad and loving water - sleeping underwater had been bliss, and she would have stayed there had it not been for her less than friendly step-mother and brother.

So, after a few nights of restlessness (And one in a tree outside of her dorm; that hadn't been too bad, had it not been from the nasty awakening in the morning from a group of spiders, and the scrapes and bruises she'd sustained in the subsequent fall from the tree. Still - better than dealing with those 8-legged horrors.), Roze had finally gone to the nearby town and purchased a hammock. It fit nicely in her bedroom, and Roze could finally get comfortable at night. And, as it happened, also too comfortable in the morning.

Once her face was washed, teeth brushed, and hair tamed, Roze felt far more awake when it came to picking her outfit of the day. Power Management sounded like it wasn't going to be in a stuffy classroom, rather a gym. So, that meant converse, not boots. Pairing her shoes with some black skinny jeans, a black tank and anopen flannel shirt, Roze was ready for the day. After some dithering, she also put in some contact lenses before hurriedly whacking on some eyeliner and concealer.
Grabbing a muffin and throwing a couple of bottles of pepsi in her backpack - along with other essentials like her iPod, and a writing pad: Did you take notes in power class? Would there be homework and tests? Gods only knew - Roze was out of the door with quite a while to spare before her first lesson.

"Speaking of... where in the hell is it?" Roze muttered to herself as she walked out of the apartment building. Out of all of the exploring of the campus, the last thing she'd thought to look for were classrooms. Naturally.
After wandering around for a bit, Roze eventually figured that it was time to ask for directions. She noticed one of the Apollo kids - Vivian, she thought her name was - sat alone on one of the benches, so she headed in that direction, disarming and yet mischievous grin already in place.
"Hey. Sorry to bother you, I'm just a little lost. Do you have the Power Management class next, by any chance?" She asked the sunny, blonde girl before her.

Peter's alarm had began blaring at 7AM, but he was already wide awake. As often happened when he went to a new place, his insomnia had kicked in pretty quickly. With a disturbing lack of his usual medication (He hadn't risked going into the nearby town to get some just yet; paranoia, most likely brought on by the lack of sleep), he'd been forced to use a much more traditional knocking-out remedy; whiskey.

This had led to some splitting headaches, withdrawal from his meds, staying in his room for all hours and one hell of a messed up sleep schedule. Now that classes were approaching, he'd sorted out his sleep schedule as much as could - it still hadn't stopped him from waking up at 4AM, leaving him pacing restlessly about his apartment until 6 o'clock had come around. With the sun up and people going to be awake in no time anyways, he'd finally been able to sit down and play his piano.
The keys had instantly soothed his frantic mind, and despite his light hand tremors, he was able to make Pachelbel's Canon in D spring to life before him.

By the time his alarm had gone off, he'd removed his restlessness and was actually enjoying a liquid with no ethanol at all in it: Coffee. It did wonders for the sleep deprivation. Switching off the irritating buzz, Peter donned his jacket and headed out of his apartment. It was a mild sort of day, the chill of the dawn still lingering in the air. Zipping up his jacket, Peter winced as left the building, the morning sun swiftly making his headache worse. Putting on his sunglasses, he looked around, wondering what to do. It was a bit before his Greek Mythology class started.

"Mythology? Of course that's a subject here. We get to hear about all the fucked-up things our parents have done." Peter muttered to himself, shaking his head as he walked. "Wonderful." He added in a sardonic tone.

Oh God, I can see the treacle dripping from Stella's words.
Normally I don't go for Free roleplays, but the plot for this is way too good to ignore. I loved the game, and wish it had lasted longer in order to further explore the character's and their relationships; looks like this is the perfect opportunity!

Just a query to begin with - as you seem to be quite the good writer, is this going to be a High-Free roleplay? Because I'll have to say right now, if people on here are going to forego grammar and somewhat decent character-development, I'd have to abandon ship or risk sharing my wrath.

Well, that came out more dramatic than intended, but I hope you get the gist, haha. :D

Oh yeah. Sorry if I'm stepping out of line by pointing this out, but Raven's bio has some discrepancies in it. There's no way in hell that a hospital would let non-medical personnel - especially a child - pull the plug on another human being, even if it was that dying persons last wish.

Roze had to say, she was somewhat pleasantly surprised at Tara's response. Usually, the 'meathead' comment worked pretty well to dissuade bullies from targeting her. She'd used it all of her life; if that didn't get rid of them, additional insults would end up with the mentioned bullies going to find a new target. Because of her young looks and fairly small stature, Roze had been targeted plenty of times in her life; however, she'd quickly learnt that most bullies didn't want to pick on someone who could stick up for themselves from the word go.

Clearly, this Tara wasn't a bully. (Although, it would be fair to assume she was, what with her more than violent entrance and insulting introduction to herself and Dallas.) Which meant that Roze could react in a more measured manner.

Although the comments regarding parents stung a little bit (What with a dead Mother and Poseidon winning the Sucky-dad-of-the-Year award; not that she was going to start whining about that. That was not something to use as an excuse to stop arguing.), she couldn't help but crack a smile at Tara's patronizing tone, and the additional ABBA song, which was a nice touch. That kinda made her annoyance at the additional 'little-girl' quips evaporate.

Holding her hands in the air, palms facing Tara in defeat, Roze gave the girl a disarming smile.
"Alright, you win." She chuckled. "I'm not looking to get into an argument with you; I was just sticking up for myself." She said, then hesitated, swiftly retracting her hands from the air and folding them across her chest, realizing that her scars had just been on full view.
"I kinda have to stick up for myself a lot. As you so wittily observed, I'm not the oldest gal here." She said, then paused once again, smile growing. "On the other hand, I'm also not the shortest, which is a pleasant change for me."

Tara smirked slightly. So the tiny tang could give as well as take. "Shortness means a low center of gravity. All the better to knock your infantile block off." If Tara's eyes caught the scars, nothing more than a slight flicker in her pupils would have indicated any kind of recognition--and her glare constantly glimmered with anger.

"Hey, why do you think I'm retreating? I'm not interested in... well, in acting like those idiots there." Roze retorted, eyes going to look at the whole predicament occurring between the Zeus kids and the other couple. From what she could tell, Zeke was a guy who didn't realize he was firmly in the friendzone and had lashed out like a hormonal pre-teen because of it, and his sister was just a huge bitch, who obviously relished at humiliating and insulting others. Those were the kind of bullies Roze had had to deal with - and she had a pretty good feeling that they would be clashing some time during term. They were both daughters of the Big Three, at the very least.
"How about we start over? I'm Roze, and I apologize. Clearly I assumed the worst about you, which was... pretty unfair, but what with that *fantastic* entrance of yours, it was expected." Roze continued, eyes going back to the angry girl before her. She did seem a little less pissed off...

Even though he had entered during the aftermath of the fight, Peter could work out pretty well what had been going on, from snatches on conversations heard around the room - and of course, the almost cat-fight going on between the blonde and the brunette. Peter silently commended the guy for getting in between them, but Peter had been tempted himself. Hell, he didn't even know these girls, but he could tell what blondie was saying was way over the top. There was a little hellion if ever he saw one.
Despite losing Cori pretty much straight away, he deduced that she had probably gone back outside for some reason. Grabbing a cool beer from the cooler and pouring out some wine (They had it in bottles- he was expecting boxed. Suppose being a Demi-God does have it's advantages.), he headed back to the front door when a familiar and beautiful piece of music drifted to his ears. Despite being much quieter than the pumping music of the party, he could hear it perfectly. Claire de Lune. Debussy. Not particularly a personal favourite, but he admired great works like that all the same.

Peter caught the tail end of the conversation outside as he stepped out, following the music.
"You got the right place." Peter addressed the new, casually-dressed blonde, angry Zeus blonde inbetween them. "I'm afraid to say the drama is over, unless you choose to follow this one outside." He added in a chuckle, glancing at Stella, not particularly caring if he irritated the fuming girl further. Walking past the two girls, he noticed a chain just concealed under the second girl's sweatshirt. The music was way too pure to have been coming from a phone - it always made it sound tinny or created echoes. That meant a music box. No-one carried music boxes around with them, so it must be concealed. Ergo, locket music box. Rare and beautiful sights, these things were, but he'd seen enough to know they existed.
"Nice necklace by the way. Debussy was a wonderful composer." He said with a grin before continuing on his way outside.

@HushedWhispers Funny, I've yet to see Stella's nice side. XD Peter will be joining you both on your way out, so let's hope another enemy isn't made today.
