I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

Current Active Roleplays:

The Elder Scrolls: Fruits of Contention
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Crimson Skies (GM)
Escaping the Blight (1x1)

Mmm yes! If Roze can make it to Sevine and the others, she could baby sit with Jorwen until the end of the fight. That is, if Vurwe wants to head back to camp, or whatever it is she has in mind. Either way, it would certainly help. (:

Unless of course, if Roze wanted to escort Vurwe back, and carry her bags (which Sevine has as of now), that would help too!

Well, I think she may be useful with the children. Roze looks pretty young and innocent herself, so they may feel more at ease with her than just Jorwen. XD

As for Vurwe, she'll carry her bags and throw them down a ravine in the process. XD
@MacabreFox

Perhaps Roze could lend a hand? She's injured, so she's looking for ways to help other than killing. She can babysit the kids, or the stroppy she-elf for Sevine. :)
Hello! Potentially interested. :)
@gcold

Ah, thank you for clarifying. I was just a little confused. :)
@Chrononaut

Sorry to bother you, but I was taking a look at the character tab and couldn't help but notice that your Altmer character was 25. I'm unsure how Altmers age, but wouldn't 25 be considered infancy for such a long living race?

Hannah Moreau and Peter Sköjare

Location; Outskirts of Olympus Academy
Interacting With; Each Other

Hannah was making good progress, trudging in the direction she hoped the gym was in, when the quake hit. She knew strange explosions and unnatural phenomenon were common around the Academy, but the sensation of the ground shaking was not exactly a reassuring feeling – quite the opposite.

So naturally, the first thing out of her mouth as she fell backwards into the mud was a slightly too-loud, "Holy shit, what the hell is that?" Hannah almost forgot she was meant to be stealthily sneaking back to her apartment. Light sparked around her fingertips, weapon materialised. "What did I miss when I was gone? Jesus." Not for the first time, she wondered whether it was better for her to quietly retreat. The wilderness seemed like a much safer bet than weird-ass earthquakes.

Once the shaking had stopped, Peter was able to - somewhat - regain his composure and take in his surrounding. His first thought was that he'd broken a pretty important rule in Earthquake Procedure - don't stand under any trees. And here he was, gripping onto one for dear life.
Thankfully, the God of trees had been kind to him and not called on karma to whup his ass, so no branches had fallen and given him an even worse headache than before.

Although death by tree would be far better than death by migraine.

What that even a thing?

Peter found his inner musings brought short as a female voice shouting profanities met his ears. Walking out of the treeline, Peter found a girl sat, with a rather wicked looking weapon in her hands. He approached the girl slowly, offering up a smile.

"No offence, but I don't think you're gonna be able to fight of an earthquake with... a spear? Seriously? What is it with the Greeks and damn spears?!" He said incredulously, rolling his eyes to the heavens. Looking back down, he sighed, smile now an apologetic one.

"Sorry... just working with some Mommy issues at the moment. Do you need a hand? He asked, holding one out for her anyway.

Hannah, startled but adapting quickly to the situation as the shaking subsided, looked up at the stranger. She frowned. "There's nothing wrong with spears. Better than lame-ass swords any day," she said defensively of her own spear, its metal shaft made of lustrous moonlight – or something poetic like that, at least. It didn't want to dissipate just yet. "And maybe they can screw up an earthquake's day. You never know with these Greek things, yeah?"

It was not a good day. She didn't like to be at a disadvantage, and she certainly was when she was still sitting on the ground. Reluctantly she took the hand and hauled herself up, dusting herself off. The back of her cargo pants were certainly stained with wet dirt. Unsalvageable. "Thanks," Hannah said, shrugging off her jacket to tie around her waist. "So was that quake dangerous and unexpected enough for me to have to run back to the academy and sound the alarm? 'Cos I don't think I have the energy."

Without the threat of imminent death, the adrenaline was wearing off and she felt more exhausted than she had to begin with. That being said, the guy – demigod, whatever – in front of her seemed to be in the same boat judging from the dark circles under his eyes.

He had to admit, she raised a good point about the whole Greek thing. The amount of myths out there of what certain artifacts could do were astounding - completely unbelievable, some of them.

Unless you lived in the Greek world itself - then it just became a part of day to day life, which was more than disconcerting.

At her last comment, Peter glanced around, looking back towards the campus. In the distance he could hear car alarms blaring, and some of the lights in and around the building were flickering on and off - but there didn't seem to be any structural damage. Or, people screaming in agony; that was always a good sign.

"I think we're good. The Professors are probably running around like headless chickens to sort things out, but I dot there's much we can do to help that." He said with a dry smile, looking back to the girl, and then the spear in her hand. It was a beautiful thing to behold, truly. The way it glowed with that silvery light made it obvious that it was magic.

"I see why you prefer this over anything else. That's some fine craftswork right there..." He paused, regarding both her and the spear closely. There was definitely a moonlight glow about it...

"You're a daughter of Artemis, right?" He guessed. "I would have assumed you'd be given a bow, but Artemis carried around a spear in the old stories too... I gotta say, it's way prettier than mine." He added with a chuckle.

Hannah raised an eyebrow, but she wasn't entirely humourless – the corners of her lips did quirk upwards. "I think that's almost a dick joke," she noted, spinning the spear around her wrist. Not trying to show off at all, no sir. She did appreciate her mother's handiwork, especially when a guy complimented it. "But yeah. Hannah Moreau, Daughter of Artemis, at your service. I like to be up close and personal, so a bow's not really my jam."

And, it was moments like these where Hannah wasn't even salty about having a lesser symbol of Artemis as her go-to weapon.

She eyed the stranger. "And I'm gonna guess... Ares? Nah, I've met some of his kids, and they're assholes. Maybe..." Hannah had never been the best at memorising Greek lore, and Artemis was never forthcoming with a guide on how not to offend her uncle or cousins or the other Gods. "Athena? Probably?"

Peter nodded with a wry grin. "Lucky guess. Yup, Athena's my Mother. She's never really acted as such, but I'm hardly one to complain. Well... normally I'm not, but she's really been testing our relationship this past week." He said in a somewhat bitter tone, smile giving way to a scowl as he looked at his band-aid covered hands. Stupid-ass magic spear couldn't take a damn hint...

Hannah smiled proudly at getting it right in one try, though it was technically two. "Trouble with ancient Grecian weapons?" she wondered aloud, nodding to Peter's injuries. She probably had quite a few of those herself: callouses on her fingers, accidentally self-inflicted cuts and stabs pretty much everywhere a spear could reach. Granted, they were pretty damn old now because at the very least, Artemis corrected her positioning when they went on a Hunt. There was that one time, however, when she practically impaled herself on it and her mother laughed... Spears were problematic. "Or do you really just have a bone to pick with your fingers?"

Peter laughed at Hannah's quip, looking over his hands. "Normally I'd be making a dumb joke about losing a fight with a woodchipper - but the bastard spear would probably stab in the damn kidneys for disrespecting it." He added with a roll of his eyes. Looking back at the Artemis girl before him, he pondered silently for a swift moment. Maybe she could should him a few pointers on how to use it properly? He'd always been one hell of a fast learner, but a teacher would surely speed things along.
"I just realised; I never introduced myself. I'm Peter Sköjare. Nice to meet you. He added, extending one hand and smiling. "And perhaps you might be able to help me with my weapon issues."
@Belwicket

I look forward to his explanation, but I sincerely doubt that it will change my mind.
You may want to tell him to shelve that other hybrid; it's verging on ridiculous.
Ah well, never mind. Thanks anyways! Enjoy the story. :)
Hey, are you guys still accepting characters? This looks real interesting. :)
