Bio

I'm an adult (most of the time) so I enjoy mature content and good stories. Most of the time you'll find me in some Sci Fi thing or another but I do sometimes end up in fantasy roleplays and ,in very rare occasions, slice of life stuff. I've dabbled in other sections of the GUild over the years but Casual Sci Fi seems to be my comfort zone. I'm probably the least intimidating person you'll ever meet and I'm always open to suggestions. I look forward to making some great stories with you all!

Name: Naomi
Age: 19
Gender: female

Outward Persona: Determined and full of spirit as the monks would say. Naomi always tries her best at everything she does and rarely gets discouraged. She is very proficient in the physical aspects of her training and is often seen running, jumping, climbing, and performing acrobatics simply for fun. She is unfortunately lacking in any spiritual skill or knowledge but never loses her smile.
Inward Persona: Despite her cheerful demeanor she often wonders if she isn't more of a burden than she is useful. Her impulsive tendencies and eagerness to prove herself can lead her to make mistakes and often get her into trouble. The approval of others is of great importance to her and is a direct reflection of her insecurity about having somewhere she belongs.
Likes: sweets of any kind, food in general, being close to others
Dislikes: being patient, being alone, being disliked

Clothes: (Not really sure what to do here. We will be wearing the monk robes yes?)
Appearance:

Prior History: Naomi grew up among the poor and homeless without any parents. Who her parents were or what happened to them is a mystery and not something she really cares to think about. Stealing food to eat was commonplace and as much a necessity as breathing. She wandered from place to place never really having any direction. She never really belonged to anything or had any direction in life other than constantly moving.

After several days of travelling without food she found herself at the monastery and attempted to steal from the food stores but was caught. The monks, however, saw that she was only acting out of desperation and decided to be merciful. They gave her a choice: She could leave without punishment and never return or she could stay, learn their ways, and in exchange she would have a home. It wasn't a very difficult choice, after years of constantly being on the move with so much uncertainty it was a welcome change to actually belong somewhere.

Reason: The Oldguild Username makes the second part unnecessary so I would like to have it removed pretty please?

Edit: Thank you kindly!
I just noticed in the rules section of the OP there is a typo just after "Use a spellchecker"
I forgot to include Venus in the list of locations for some stupid reason but that's up now. Also, I never accepted Guy Funnuchi so if you could refrain from posting in the IC until then I would appreciate it. Did you read the CS review post? It's directly after your CS on the first page of the OOC if you missed it.
IC post is up. Sorry it's kind of short but migraines make it hard to concentrate.
En route to Ganymede
A very bored looking woman sat at the helm of a retired police cruiser watching the stars go by as they zipped through hyperspace on auto-navigation, travelling millions of miles per second towards the fishing capital of the "civilized world" known as Ganymede. The woman's name was Chibuya, Sara Chibuya and she's the Captain of the ship she calls the Blue Jay. They hadn't set course for Ganymede to see the sights however, they were after a man who had committed one too many crimes and had been marked as a bounty by the ISSP. They knew the general location of the fugitive but finding and apprehending him would take some leg work which Sara was not looking forward to. It would be a while before they reached Ganymede though, so she had a bit of time to relax. Sara decided to head down to the rec room and grab a bite before they exited hyperspace.
Hoshi stayed close to Marius as the others engaged the Mutons. It hadn't taken long at all for things to start heating up and she was starting to get anxious. Where's my kill going to be? Just as the thought ran across her mind Nic had jumped across the checkout counter and dragged a Muton in with him. It charged out of cover in a rage but Hoshi was ready for him. Just seconds after it rounded the corner she fired her rifle and a beam cut across the parking, lot through the window, and into the Muton's skull. "One less for worry." The other Mutons started opening fire in response so Hoshi took a dive behind the exploded car on the street. Just then she noticed the familiar sound of Floaters. She scanned the sky until she spotted two of them heading for the Skyranger. "Two Floaters gunning for the transport!" Hoshi took a shot at one but there movements were too erratic for her to hit with the sniper rifle. "Pilot take evasive action now!"
Don't count me out just yet but I'm also running my own RP so it might take me a bit.
If you look at the last couple posts Urukhai explains in his post that the Skyranger won't be able to land until they clear the LZ. Then in Vladimir's post Nic has to rappel down but right after that in Geoffry's post the Skyranger has landed but then in Halvtand's post we have to rappel again so I am confused. Also I have played XCom since it was an MS-DOS game in 1994 when it was called UFO Defense and I've beaten XCom: Enemy Within three times good sir.
Edit: The Firaxis development team never actually worked on The Bureau: XCom Declassified, that project was tossed between other parts of the 2K Games family.
Are we rappelling down to the LZ or did the Skyranger land? I thought we had to clear the LZ first?
