Bio

I'm an adult (most of the time) so I enjoy mature content and good stories. Most of the time you'll find me in some Sci Fi thing or another but I do sometimes end up in fantasy roleplays and ,in very rare occasions, slice of life stuff. I've dabbled in other sections of the GUild over the years but Casual Sci Fi seems to be my comfort zone. I'm probably the least intimidating person you'll ever meet and I'm always open to suggestions. I look forward to making some great stories with you all!

Did everyone take a day off?
Finally posted....
Classes had ended for the day. That meant that is was time for Manami to head over to the Anime Club for the first time. Back home there weren't really any places where people like her would gather and most hadn't ever heard the word 'otaku' before. Todai University was such a big place and the city was even bigger. She still wasn't used to being around so many people all the time. It seemed like the city never slept and everyone was always moving. At least, she had found a part time job at a cosplay cafe, that was also something new. With so many new things in her life it was almost overwhelming. She debated whether or not she should really try to join the Anime Club as the other students went about their way. She started to leave the lecture hall but stopped at the door. What if they're all dirty perverted boys? What if they don't like me? Should I really go? Maybe not. It was almost time for the Anime Club's scheduled meeting where all the people would go to join. If she skipped out they might not let her join later or their roster might get full. She started to walk down the hall towards the club room.

Eventually Manami found herself just down the hall from the club room. She could hear people talking, one of them sounded familiar. She stared at the sign above the door, it was definitely the right place. In that room, through the open door, was the Anime Club. Should I really go?... Yes. This is my chance to make friends. I can't leave now. She had almost turned around but decided to go for it. A few steps and she was in front of the open door. Wait! What if they don't like eroge!? It was too late as they would have noticed her in front of the door. She took a step inside. Manami was wearing a long-sleeved light-blue V-neck and jeans with her favorite pair of sneakers. Slung over her shoulder was the bag for her laptop. She took a second to take in the room. There were plenty of people, snacks on the kotatsu, and the chalkboard at the back said they were holding an election the vice president of the club. "Um... Hello everyone. I'm Takenaka Manami... a first year student. It's nice to meet you all." Manami tried to scan all the faces for the one that sounded familiar. Finally she recognized someone, it was one of the girls from her part time job. What was her name??? She stared at the girl as she tried to remember. "L-Levi... chan?" I hope that right.
Manami is very shy so it will probably take a few tries for her to get to the Anime Club.

Most probably, yeah, so maybe they know each other. :D

What kind of relationship did you have in mind? Like just happen to work at the same place, work friends, or something else?
I think Alastair just got a new girlfriend....
Spark let out a small moan of pleasure as Alastair shoved her against the wall. She smiled at him, slightly aroused at his assertion of authority. He was strong and he knew it, there was nothing more attractive to her than someone who knew how to take charge. He'll make a good leader if he keeps this up, she thought. As soon as he finished speaking she leaned in and kissed him for as long as he would allow it. "That's a good start." Spark licked her lips. "If we get some free time I can show you more... Captain."

As spark was yelling at the other girl Alastair stared to smile when she was finished yelling and begun walking for the door Alastair stopped her still smiling, "You know I'm starting to like you more and more." Alastair smiled agin looking her up and down before letting her continue he way she was going, Alastair was happy things were calming down he hated what he had to do to Lucy she was a sweet girl but he knew it had to happen.

Spark walked with Alastair to the classroom, ignoring the collared girl being dragged across the hallway. Alastair's comment caused a smirk. "Tch, I've heard better pickup lines from Buddhist Monks." This was true, in fact, Spark had lived in Chinatown in the later years of her life and knew a lecherous Monk who would constantly harass her. If it hadn't been for the fact that he was also her landlord at the time she might have stuck a knife in him for it. She spoke in an even tone almost as if she wasn't concentrating on the conversation. "If you wanna fuck you should just say so, real leaders don't mess around with 'if' or 'maybe'. If you wanna be the point man you'd better fuckin' act like one. That being said, I'll fuckin' zap your balls if you try anything, got it?."
CS is finished, off to job #2 now. I will probably post late tonight before I go to bed.

Edit: I noticed that Levi also works at a cosplay cafe. Could they maybe both work at the same cafe?
Name: Takenaka Manami

Age: 19

Appearance:

Appearance details:
Wears contact lenses, occasionally wears glasses.

Height: 163cm (5'4'')

[Background]

Hometown: Takanabe (small town in Miyazaki Prefecture)

Major: Programming

Hobbies: cosplay, video games (and modding), programming, *cough* eroge *cough*

Part-time job: Waitress at a cosplay cafe

Back story: Manami spent most of her life in front of a computer. She was one of those girls who really never had many friends. Even before she found the wonder of the internet she was very anti-social, always preferring to stay inside. Once she got a hold of her first laptop, however, she took off into the infinite landscape of the cyber world. That's where she found her first taste of anime, manga, and video games. Despite not having many friends locally she made a few friends online and has published several mods for games (mostly eroge) that have won her a bit of fame on her regular forums.

Manami breezed through school, never having any major issues, so it was no surprise that she got accepted into Todai University. The transition to Chiba was like coming to a new world and she can hardly wait to meet real Otaku friends as they were practically non-existent in her home town. She is also looking for friends to help her learn about the other parts of creating video games since her only talent is programming. She hopes to one day start her own independent video game company.
Spark had to stop when Cassandra started shouting. She didn't turn around when she spoke. "Don't forget that I signed my life away too. If it's my job to work in a team then that's what I'll do. That means that the team's survival and my own are one in the same. Bitch and shout all you want but eventually we're gonna be comrades. That means we work together, I don't have to like you and you don't have to like me." Spark turned around to face her. "Honestly though, that 'holier than thou' routine is getting old. We all belong to the old man now, that means you're just as fucked as me. Get used to it or don't, makes no difference. So long as you follow orders and don't put my life at risk I don't give a fuck what you do. That goes for the rest of you too." She kept her hands in her pockets and spoke calmly. With that said she continued on her way.
