Mikkish was about to rejoice that he had been set free of his ice problem when he noticed pieces of the truck hurling towards him. He was about to speed dash out of the way when suddenly, the pieces dropped, remains of the ice melted then vanished, and the students all adapted confused looks on their faces, as their magic suddenly wasn't working. Mikkish figured what was going on when he discovered that as he was trying to speed dash, all he was capable of was a quick, but not at all supernatural, short sprint.

"Alright alright, THATS IT!" Yelled an elderly, but fit man who walked into the courtyard "No more. I know you're mostly all probably new, but magic does NOT make life a video game. Now get back to your dorms! I am leaving the device on all night now, and don't think you'll find it!"

The device he referenced was what caused the sudden inability to use magic. The effect field was large enough to cover the entire courtyard as well as much of the main school building and dorm building. Bummer.

Mikkish turned to look at whoever Remliel was talking to. It was the same "badass" girl from the boat. The one with long red hair, and an air of mystery about her. Mikkish might have been stuck there, staring at Hikaru if it wasn't for the mob of students snapping him back to reality.

"Those two are trying to kill a mental handicap. Lets kick their ass!" One of them yelled, referring to Remliel and Mikkish as the targets of their assault.

"This will be fun." Mikkish muttered to himself.

He dashed into a guy, too fast for the guy to realize what was happening, and punched him so hard he went flying head first into a large tree. Like a pinball, Mikkish dashed immediately away from the student he knocked out and at his next victim. This one was more prepared, but it made little difference. He was also knowledgeable in physical buff as well as how to fist fight, and after a lightning quick exchange of heavy blows, much like you might see in Dragon Ball Z, the student crashed to the ground, kicking up dirt. Before Mikkish could dash off to his next victim, however, he discovered his legs, knee down, were encased in solid ice. Despite the heat, it was so strong, Mikkish struggled to break free despite his own physical buff knowledge. It was clearly the work of an ice mage among the student mob, probably one more experienced than Mikkish, Remliel, David, or any of the new group of students.
