Marcus looked over the man that sat across the fire from himself, he had met several monks on his travels and each one was different in their nature so he did not know what to expect from this man. He wondered what kind of enlightenment the man could find to make him travel to Starter Town for a festival. Marcus had come to this area because he had heard that there was some money to be made at the festival and rumors that there was fun and adventure to be had if he had come to this town which he hoped would not disappoint. When Radley agreed to pack up camp and continue the travel to the town before it got completely dark Marcus started to rise to his feet before examining the last rabbit on the skillet. "I may have an idea with the rabbit." He fished around in his pack for a moment before drawing a leather wrap and picking up the rabbit. He tore of a piece of the meat for himself to eat before wrapping the rest of it up and stowing it into his pack. "Some for now and than some for the wolves when they catch up to us." He told the monk with a smile before biting into the meat. "I like your idea of traveling together, it would give us more time to meet each other as well. I do hope there are some good festival competitions when we get there to participate in, I have wished for some good fun lately." Marcus told the monk as he helped him pack up his equipment and stamp out the fire before throwing his own pack over his shoulder and pulling it in under his cloak so that his cloak covered up all his clothes and equipment.

---- Stories were told of a monster so great, so powerful, that it had led to downfall of the largest city of the dwarves in the Spine. Some say that it was a lich who had been sleeping in his tomb under the Spine, waiting for the right moment to strikes. Others believe it to be an ancient red dragon who came for the gold stored inside the city. The story tellers always incite would-be-adventurers to set off on a journey to find a way into this city so that they may find the riches that lay within the gildled walls. Yet, no adventurer has ever succesfully found the ancient city nor do any dwarves survive from that time who lived there. Those who are still living have passed on the story of how to gain access to the hold of in the Spine. In recent years, the Arcazia Empire has fallen into a depression. People are looking for ways to make a living and a flame has been lit by the story tellers, a flame so great that it might just consume the lives of those caught in it. Farmers have sold their lands and seeds so that they may go and search for the treasure in the mountains. Groups form on a dialy basis of former city guards and hunters who are looking for a way to make a name for themselves. Few of these people are likely to ever find the treasure except for a group of people who were to gather in the small village of Toruka. They had seen the message on the boards of this mystery man who claimed to know a way into the ancient dwarven city. If what the man said was true, then all involved would live their lives as kings or die in the ancient city. But that was often the possibilties of adventures. ----

Technology: Arcazia is very much centered around the use of technology in daily life. Yet, technology is not as it is in our world. Technology in Arcazia is a mix of magic and scientific discoveries. Some creations are made purely from science while others are made from the mixing of the two. Airships are one of the mixes of magic and scientific discoveries. Runes are used to produce a magical fame which keeps the airship floating while hand cranked propellers are used to move the ship forward. Meanwhile, the creation of black powder was purely scientific finding which eventually led to the creation of bombs. Although magic is used to create some advances in technology, there are those who don't turst the use of it. These people are members of the Mechanics guild. This guild is mostly a group of scientists and mechanics who are looking to make Arcazia a safe place by making all their creations without the use of magic. Though the guild is mostly peaceful, there are violent members who destroy items made with magic runes or burn the homes of magical inventors to the ground. Although a few of them have been arrested and put on trial, none of them have been willing to give up their leader. It is still unsure what the future holds for the Mechanics guild. Magic: All magic comes from a singular source of magic known as Prime. Many speculations have been made as to what Prime actually is but it is generally accepted that it is not naturally found in the world at large. Researchers into Prime believe that magic users are basically tears in their world from which Prime trickles in. In recent years, mages have been sent to academies for training. At these academies, the young apprentices are taught that they are dangerous and should never be trusted. Many accounts of abuse have been heard, leaking from the academies, but it is rare for the city guard to do anything to help the apprentices. Now to move to the kinds of Prime magic. There are three branches of Prime magic, each with a different power level and abilities from the other. The first and most powerful of the branches is Primal Magic. This magic is of a more innate nature to its users, which come from all races. Primal magic is divided into three branches; elemental, shape shifting, and conjuration. Primal magic is very powerful but it consumes a lot of the users Prime magic. The second branch of Prime magic is Rune Magic. Rune magic has the capability of being as powerful as Primal magic if the proper runes are used. Often times, rune magic is used in time consuming rituals and focus almost primarily on creation magic. Despite this, there is a less accepted form of rune magic where the mage would have the runes tattooed onto his or her body. This form of rune magic is often used in correlation with magic ranging from elemental to abjuration magic. The users of Rune magic are from any race except for elvish races. The third and final form of magic is known as Focus magic. Focus magic doesn't have as much potential power as it brothers but requires less Prime in order to be used. Many users of focus magic use abjuration or evocation. Focus magic, despite its lack of strength, is the only magic known to produce necromancers and demonologists. Many races are capable of using focus magic except for dwarves. Focus magic and Rune magic are the two magic branches taught in academies(which discourage the use of Primal magic). I will be limiting the number of mages in the party to only three four. Note that one does not have to go to an academy to learn Focus magic or Rune magic.

Rune Tiers WIP

WIP Tier1- Elemental Runes: These runes are the most basic or runes that can be produced by a Rune mage. Often, these runes are inscribed on weapons with a focus rune to enchant them. Although these runes are basic, they have the capability to do as much damage to an opponent as their Primal magic counter parts could. Rune mages who have the elemental runes inscribed on their bodies can use them to manipulate the element of the rune. Yet, Rune mages are limited to using only pairs of runes which do not contrast each other. A rune mage can have a fire element and air element while they wouldn't be capable of having a fire element and earth element or air element and earth element. Focus Runes: There are two basic focus runes which exist in Tier one. The first of the runes is simply called focus. Focus enhances the effect of runes when used with them. It can also pull small amounts of Prime through to a weapon to enchant it. When focus is placed on a staff or stave, it will focus a mage's Prime and increase the effect of their spells. The second of the basic focus rune is called Precise. Precise is a rune which focuses an area of effect for the runes. For example, a fire rune would simple create a fire on what every item it is place on. If the fire rune was placed on a person, it would encase the user in a flame. But, a Precise would change the effect of the fire rune to a small area. Instead of being encased in the fire, the user could encase their fist if the Precise was placed there. Summoning Runes: Five summoning runes exist in tier one. The first of these runes is Breath. Breath is used to summon a living creature, be it a plant or animal, to the summoning circle. Flight is a summoning rune which would bring a animal with the ability of flight into the summoning circle. Ambulare is used for summoning a creature which can walk on the ground. Canis is a rune which summons any animal from the family of canidae. The last rune is called Urisae. Urisae is used for summoning animals from the family of Ursidae(Bears). Abjuration runes: There are three abjuration runes in tier one. The first of these runes is Shield. Shield can be placed on item with focus to create a magical barrier around the object. Shield can also be placed on the body of a Rune mage to reduce the amount of physical damage they take. The second of the abjuration runes is Mend. Mend is a rune which can applied to the hand of a rune mage which allows them to focus healing force into that hand and apply it to the body of the injured person. Mend can alos be placed on a person and activated with focus to then cause a slow regenration to the person's body. The third abjuration rune is Barrier. Barrier can be applied to the ground with chalk to create a ten foot tall and six foot wide barrier. The effects of Barrier last for about ten to fifteen minutes before it wears off.

Summoning Circle(Rune Mage)

Summoning circles are the first things taught to Rune Mages. The above is a simple summoning circle. The four outer circles are used for the four base runes when summoning. The top circle is used to specify a living creature. The circle at the three o'clock position specifies how the creature moves. The six o'clock circle is used for the elemental rune of air. The nine o'clock circle is used for the nature elemental rune. The center circle is used so specify what species of animal to summon. If left empty, this circle will summon any sort of creature. Circles drain a lot of Prime from the user and take a lot of time to make. Should the six and nine o'clock circles be left empty, it will summon any creature from any world. The runes on the outside are the most important should this ever happen. These runes are all used to protect the Rune mage should something go wrong and will send the creature back to its world with little cost of energy.There are of course more advanced summoning circles but it is rare to see them outside of the academies.

---- Races: There are many races that live in Arcazia, though not all of them are treated the same. A human would not be treated the same way as a dwarf was. Arcazia has a diverse population but the majority of its citizens are humans while the majority below them are dwarves. I am not going to give you some outline of what these races look like because, to be honest, there will always be outliers who don't abide by these outlines and I am often one of those people who create characters like that. Instead, if you are introducing a race other than the typical thing people know(Elves, dwarves, humans, halflings etc.) you will need to fill out the below sheet.

Marcus smiled when the man mentioned that he wouldn't have to pay for the rabbit and that he would just have to repay him by keeping him company. That was way more do able than giving the dark haired man some of the few remaining coins that he kept in a small pouch hanging from his hip. He got up from his spot on the branch and had some of his wire wrap around the branch so that he could lower himself easily to the ground instead of risking jumping the ten feet and injuring himself which he knew would happen. He lowered himself in the shaded part of the tree and to the guy watching him it could have appeared that he had just floated down since it would be hard to see the wires without light catching the metal. When he reached the ground, he activated the wheel on the his raised right hand which reeled in the wire from the branch and gave a small click as the end of the wire disappeared into his fingertips. As he lowered his arm and made his way toward the fire where the man was sitting he looked around and noticed that the man had some nice pelts with him which Marcus did not want to ruin. When he reached the fire he sat down cross legged on the ground opposite of the man and accepted the rabbit that was offered to him. "Don't worry about a plate. I can't remember the last time I have actually used a plate." Marcus pulled his traveling pack from under his cloak and set it on the ground next to him before he started to pull the rabbit meat apart with his clawed gloves. "My name by the way is Marcus Frost and I am a adventurer always looking for a nice warm climate. What would your name be?" As he asked this question a wolf howled as it seemed to call out to find its pack and was answered with a few more howls which sounded closer than Marcus would have liked. "It might not have been the best idea to set up camp in the forest right now. It sounds like wolves are prowling the area."

High in the trees of the forest outside of Starter Town was a giant web spanning four different trees made up of a thin steel wire that was only seen as it caught the light of the sun high overhead. In the middle of the web laid a young man in his early twenties who seemed to be sleeping unaware of his surroundings as he rolled over into a gap in the web and fell out. Marcus woke up with one of his arms above him as he hung from the web as the wires were connected to his fingertips, he flicked his pinky finger which engaged the wheel integrated into the top of his glove which pulled him back up to the web as the wire slack was reeled in. When he reached the web again he sat down cross legged in the middle and held out one of his gloved hands palm up and concentrated on the center. Hovering over his palm two small ice orbs formed from the moister in the air before starting to rotate around themselves over his palm as he started to meditate on the motion of the orbs. He remained in the pose for most of the afternoon with his eyes closed and actually at one point did fall back asleep only to be woken up by a growling stomach which reminded him that he hadn't eaten all day. Marcus grabbed one of the orbs in his clawed fingers as he watched it melt back into water before getting up from his spot and jumping over to the closest branch that was big enough to hold his weight before holding out his right hand and activating the wheel to reel in all the wires that made up the web. As the sun started to head toward the horizon, Marcus jumped down from the tree and started to walk through the forest at his own pace as he listened for any sounds that could give away where food could be hiding. After a few minutes he saw a fire in a small clearing causing him to slow down as he approached quietly before sending out some wire to pull him into the trees so he could approach from above in the tree branches. He saw a man setting up camp in the clearing and was currently preparing a few rabbits for food which made Marcus' mouth water slightly. He fixed his cloak so that it covered his spool of wire on his back before sitting down on one of the branches that overlooked the clearing. "Hey there. I don't suppose you would be willing to share some of that rabbit? I do have some money if I could buy it off of you." He hoped that the older looking guy was friendly and would allow him to buy some of the rabbit since he was to lazy to head into town and find some food.

Personality: Marcus is the type of person most people would describe as carefree and empty headed. He always seems to be able to get out of his responsibilities and would rather disappear and mediate or just relax in a tree somewhere in a hammock made from his wires. One of the few things that is able to hold his interest is a good looking person of the opposite gender and he can often be seen trying to impress them by showing off. He doesn't like to take anything seriously and never fights seriously either because he is actually afraid of what he can do when he uses his weapon and powers in combination and will only fight serious when he is sure that none of his friends are able to see him fight. Favourite Colour(s): Aqua Blue Favourite Food(s): Enjoys most types of seafood. Hobbies: Meditation, hitting on girls, having a good drink, being lazy. Weapons: A spool of wire that is held in a holster on the small of his back with connections to two gloves which house wheels that control the speed at which the wire can be spooled out. The wire is constantly being kept in a damp state so that Marcus could use his ice powers on the wires. His gloves have talons on the fingertips that allow for the wire to not become tangled and also helps with close combat if he has to fight up close. Powers/Abilities: Marcus has powers over water in his immediate area having the ability to solidify the liquid into ice that he is than able to use freely. He can bend the ice to his will allowing the ice to become his protection or it can be used as an offensive tool as well. He is skilled with the use of thin wire that can be released from his gloves and can be spread out to create webs for defense. Biography: Marcus was born into in a village hidden away in a mountain range where the power of ice is very common. Marcus grew up with a need to explore the rest of the world which was uncommon for the village as they did like to maintain their isolation hidden away in their village, but the real need for adventure came from his need to find warmer climates as he was never a fan of the cold in the mountains. He now travels around the land looking for a good adventure to join and some good looking females to chase after in the spare time. (The weapon is similar to the one of Akame Ga Kill called Cross Tail.)
