As someone who works for a pet store I both love and hate pixar. The next person that tries to ask me if we have "a dory fish" for their goldfish bowl is getting straight up clubbed like a baby seal

I'm just a simple college student working his way through life while simultaneously testing the limits of how much caffeine and alcohol the human body can subsist on before it gives out. Just call me Shade.

It's not all that hard to get in with the story, there are some arguably key components to know about, such as what erasers are (despite them later being replaced) and things of that nature. Personally speaking I didn't enjoy the MR series -or the Lake House, which is what sort of kicked off the whole shebang- as much as Patterson's other works such as the Alex cross series, Toys, or Zoo as I felt it veered off course as it continued on, but this RP holds my interest. Am I to place a character submission in the OOC or straight into the CS section?

Also, i'd like to add that not everyone was simply spliced with animal DNA, if I recall there were some test subjects that were experimented on in other manners which gave them different abilities, such as Subject Omega.
Having seen Hank and Murphy enter his home, Dimitri offered no complaint and had given Brutus a quick pat on the side before the dog could raise almighty cain for the intrusion, instead focusing on what he needed to get done. Dimitri finished packing up his supplies and reentered the living room and spared a quick glance at Murphy as he threw his rucksack on the couch, then snapped his fingers and pointed at the door. Brutus quietly padded over to where Dimitri pointed, pausing for a moment to give Murphy a wary sniff before sitting where he was directed. "Ah...i'm taking my dog out for a quick walk, just keep the door locked and don't open it until you hear three long whistles and three short whistles. Bathroom's down the hall if you need it and there's a bit of food in my bag. Only take what you need, we need to save what we got." he said before stepping around Murphy and exiting with Brutus.

For a moment Dimitri wondered if it was a good idea to leave Murphy unattended in his apartment. The obvious fact that she was at an age where supervision was expected aside, there was also the issue of him not really knowing her. Child or not, Murphy was a stranger that he'd just given unrestricted access to his home and supplies to. "Make this quick Brutus, I don't want to be out longer than we have to." He said as he and Brutus exited the apartment. As Brutus trotted over to relieve himself, Dimitri kept an eye out for anyone heading his way, be it his new "comrades" or soldiers.
I believe that part of the problem here is that you're putting a lot of emphasis on the "enough" portion of your self deprecation. When a person does than then generally one of two things happens: Either that fall into a state of stagnation when they perceive an end to their progress, or they fall into despair when they realize that there is no end to progress and that there's no such thing as "enough". BUT, that latter issue is secretly a thing of beauty.

See, here's the thing Diz, when you place the term "enough" on something, then that means that you've imposed a limit, a line in the sand if you will. The worst part of it is, that word not only imposes a limit, but it also makes someone feel that their goals are wildly out of reach or difficult to attain. To some it even becomes a crutch or an excuse. But, when you stop using "enough" when you describe your goals and embrace the fact that progress is a perpetual thing, you learn to instead focus on what you HAVE achieved and use that as motivation to attain greater heights. I won't lie to you, it's a difficult and painful road, and there's not many things that'll cushion you when you fall on the road, but the important thing is that you cherish whatever does help you along -such as the man you love- and continue moving along. It's also important to relax though, too much at one time will overwhelm you, which is no good for your stress. Take a bit of time to rest, but never lose yourself fully in the joy of leisure, otherwise you'll find yourself further in despair later.

What you're feeling about moving is natural, after all it's a change of scenery, embrace all of those feelings of yours (even the negative ones!) and use them to make something of this move. I wish you and the man that you love the best of luck!
Sounds rough, i'm guessing something college and/or rehousing related? I'm open to listen for a bit if you need an ear.

As for your feelings of "not good enough", if it's a fear of disappointing others, well, refer to the last sentence of my signature, it's useful for both acceptance of passing on AND gaining self confidence. If it's a matter of not feeling good enough to yourself, then always remember that if you did your best then at the end of the day that is all that matters. I know i'm coming off as a bit preachy or like a life coach, but it's the truth.

Glad you liked the song by the way, the guys that made the songs for RvB did an amazing job for all ten seasons of the show and I love nearly every single one.
I could definitely dig that as an opening theme. At the same time however i'm partial to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsIr-kUNJPc

I'm doing pretty good save for a bit of car trouble, how about you Diz, how you holding up?
Dimitri got up from the couch and locked the door after his guests turned temporary comrades made their exit. With little time to spare deciding whether or not putting his faith in these people was a good idea, Dimitri forwent taking Brutus out for a walk and moved in a brisk pace down the hall and into his room. Brutus -being somewhat accustomed to having to wait to be let out as Dimitri sometimes took a nap after work-, followed behind his owner and let out a soft whine. "I know bud, i'll take you out in a minute but I have to get everything ready to go." Dimitri grunted as he pulled his rucksack from out of the closet. It was a large bag by most people's standards, however Dimitri's size almost made it seem normal. He tossed it onto a lumpy old mattress on the floor which served as his bed and pulled his shovel out from the closet's top shelf. Brutus sat in the doorway and watched patiently as Dimitri ran his thumb carefully along the serrated edge that took up one half of the shovel's blade, then swung it experimentally. The shovel was a relatively small thing, just over a yard long when fully extended, but it was remarkably sturdy, having survived everything Dimitri put it through when he actually brought it in to work. The blade of the tool would make short work of anything fleshy that it hit, and provided Dimitri with a small comfort, though he couldn't help but wish he had his guns back.

Dimitri grabbed the rucksack from his bed and opened it to ensure that his weather blanket was inside, then placed the shovel inside along with the blanket before closing the bag up and moving out of his room and for the kitchen to repeat the packing process anew.
Dimitri snarled and came to a screeching halt mere inches from a brick wall as he felt the bolt of electricity slam into his back. For a few moments the pain was near blinding, and the air was filled with the scent of burnt hair and charred flesh. The pain was an eye opener for Dimitri, but not in the sense of convincing him to surrender. It had let him regain enough self control to stop attacking on instinct like a greenhorn hunter. "Surrender huh?" Dimitri rumbled as he rose back up to his feet and held his hands out to his sides. "What next? Hands on the wall like this?" The wendigo inquired as he placed his palms against the walls and leaned inward. If Dimitri could smile right now, he'd be outright grinning as his muscles coiled and bunched. In a flash the wendigo placed one foot on the wall and kicked off, making a backwards lunge towards Emmett before cracking the enderman in the nose with an elbow. Not letting up for an instant, Dimitri followed this elbow strike by twisting around and aiming a punch for Emmett's groin, displaying just how little he cared for a fair fight.
how the hell has it been 2 weeks? ugh... my mood keeps going up and down.

Your guess is as good as mine Diz, just take the time you need though. The Rp'll still be here whenever you're ready to resume putting up with Pulse's crabass attitude.
Dimitri reached up and rubbed his face, exposing for a few seconds as the redness that crept in from under his eyelids. He never acknowledged it, but he always had a feeling that after everything he'd done for the colony that he'd ultimately end up leaving after a wile,be it from an outbreak of infected or hard times, he knew by now that there was no longer such a thing as a permanent safe haven. "Guess that's what I get for deluding myself." Dimitri mused as he considered Cliff's idea. On the one hand, he might not have been seen holding open the door for the group and might've been safe, but on the other, staying was risking starvation for Brutus and himself. Dimitri started to bounce his foot up and down, a nervous habit he'd developed in childhood, and spoke slowly, "Get anything of value you have at your homes. Any nonperishable food, medical stuff, and anything you might be able to use as a weapon Before we leave we can stop by the greenhouse to gather food and herbs, and there's plenty of tools that'd make good weapons. Shovels, pitchforks, sickles, machetes, shit like that. After working there so long I learned the patrol routines and all of the places one can slip in without getting seen. If we're lucky one of the night guards might've gotten lazy and left a weapon unattended seeing as no one but them are aloud inside after dark." he said with uncertainty in his voice.

It wouldn't take very long for Dimitri to pack, after all when he'd arrived all he had to his name was a large rucksack, a rifle and pistol, a fixed blade knife, an all weather blanket, some fire starting tools, and a crowbar. Everything that could be considered a weapon was confiscated, however Dimitri still had his rucksack, blanket, and half a box of waterproof matches. Some of scrounging for a month and a half had given him enough cash and supplies to use to purchase a slightly rusty but sturdy military folding shovel at the market place, though he'd still had to jump through hoops to actually prove that it was for work purposes to avoid arousing suspicion from a few soldiers. "I'm assuming we'll all be together at least until we get outside the wall, so it's fine if we meet back here come sun down. Assuming you guys can whistle do it in the same I used before opening my door, then i'll know it's safe to let you in. The name's Dimitri by the way, Dimitri Santos.".
@Mistress Dizzy Well if we're referring to actual telekinetics rather than lumping telekinesis and telepathic powers in the same group, you've got Psylocke, Gilgamesh, The Scarlet Witch, (arguably) Emma Frost, Cable, Mephisto, and Blackheart on the marvel side, and on the DC side you've got Doctor Manhattan, Zatanna Zatara, Ace of Clubs (assuming she hasn't died in this universe), Klarion, Mento, and Manchester Black. There are very likely dozens more, but these are all of the ones I can remember after sitting here and wracking my brain for about five minutes followed by a google search to ensure each character I remembered actually had telekinetic abilities rather than just telepathic ones. I was going to suggest Martian manhunter, Ms.Martian, and Ma'alefa'ak, but I recall thier mental powers being limited to telepathic use rather than telekinetic.
