As someone who works for a pet store I both love and hate pixar. The next person that tries to ask me if we have "a dory fish" for their goldfish bowl is getting straight up clubbed like a baby seal

I assumed the shotgun would be loud is why I thought of that idea

Oh, most definitely. I'm open to him meeting other characters if you're set on them meeting, but I figured with Jacque back on the move that it'd be further up the path. That being said, I can imagine that there's going to be some misunderstanding between him and whomever he meets considering that two gunshots rang out and he was found with a bleeding man and a shotgun slung over his shoulders. The way I see it, the lack of context is bound to lead to either hilarity or some sort of altercation.

@Diabolic Why thank you kindly. Jacque's pretty much in the same forest as everyone else, however thanks to his little trek through the woods, i'd say he's a bit further up than the others. I kinda have to agree with you on the whole meet-and-greet as well. Maybe they'll find a reason to soon, but this early in might be a bit early.

Jacque was not having a lovely day right about now. Somehow despite having his hands tied behind his back, the horse thief was keeping a fair bit of distance between the two. For a second Jacque considered raising his gun and firing, but without a clear shot the action would have done nothing but waste ammo. There was however an alternative. The horse thief jumped over a fallen tree only to be followed over it by Jacque not more than eight seconds later. He prepared to hop over another log, which gave Jacque just the opportunity he needed. The bounty hunter drew his knife and threw it at the horse thief, hitting him in the back of the thigh as he jumped up. The result was the man falling over the log and shrieking like, well, like a man with a large knife in his leg really.

Jacque glared menacingly at the horse thief as he closed the distance, "What the hell did I tell you would happen if you ran? What were the very first things I said!?", "Wait wait wait, Jacque, I was just trying to get away from the bodies on the road! You saw that-" *BANG*. As the gun shot rang through the forest, Jacque nonchalantly tried to take aim at his quarry's other knee while the man rolled around and shrieked in agony. *BANG* "I made myself perfectly clear." Jacque said as he shouldered his weapon and yanked his knife out of the horse thief's leg. There was no need to be armed anymore, the slugs that had been fired had punched a nice set of ragged holes into the man's knees. The bounty hunter waited a little while for his quarry to stop thrashing and lose consciousness, be it from pain, shock, or blood loss, before pulling some gauze and wrappings from his bag to bind the wounds.

He lifted the thief with a grunt and slung him over his shoulder like a sack of flour before making his way back towards the road, being certain to take a route that would move him ahead of the corpses found earlier.

As Jacque and his captive continued to traverse the forest in their effort to reach the nearest city, the pair hit a slight snag in the road that set the bounty hunter on edge. It started with the horse thief cursing loudly and turning to his left to wretch, Jacque, believing the man's actions to be a plot to escape when his guard dropped, leveled the shotgun at his bounty and prepared to bark another order. The words died in his throat rather quickly as he caught the scent of blood, thick and heavy, wafting through the breeze and turned to see what the horse thief had reacted so violently to.

About two or three dozen yards ahead of them there were several bodies scattered along both the sides of the road and on the road itself. Jacque muttered a hail Mary under his breath before kicking his quarry in the back of his knees to force him onto the ground, "Don't you move. If I come back to find you missing then I swear to God I will shoot you in your knees and drag you the rest of the way when I catch you again." he growled before raising his gun and advancing slowly upon the scene. He approached cautiously, spinning around slowly every now and then to make sure he wasn't about to be ambushed, even going so far as to aim at the trees to avoid an assault from above. Jacque never even got the opportunity to hope that the men had died from an animal attack as he reached them. The wounds on the bodies were much too clean, and nothing had eaten, which ruled out a predator of some sort. He leaned down to inspect the blood, then jumped back up to his feet in alarm as he realized that the blood hand't even begun to coagulate. Whomever had done this had done it very recently, which mean that they hadn't gotten far.

Jacque turned and began to walk back to his quarry, but froze and grit his teeth audibly when he realized the man had disappeared. "Oh you MOTHERFUCKER!" He all but roared as he sprinted over to where he'd forced the man down. A crashing in the undergrowth alerted Jacque to the fact that his bounty had taken off into the dense foliage of the forest. He raised his gun, but upon realizing he couldn't get a clear shot grit his teeth once more and charged after his quarry. "I'm going to put a shot between your goddamned legs when I catch you!" He shouted ahead as he charged after the horse thief. Now made aware of Jacque's plans for him upon capture, the horse thief went into a full on sprint, fueled purely by adrenaline and the fear of what would come if he topped for even a moment, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE GET THIS CRAZY FUCK AWAY FROM ME!!".
Dimitri let out a small sigh as he came out of his daze, his brain failing to come up with an answer for what he'd just done. A beeping on his wrist caused the man to jump a bit from surprise before he realized that it was his wrist watch's alarm going off. "Ah damn, so much for the early train. At least I can still catch the regular one." He muttered as he pulled himself from his seat and exited the cafe. It took a bit of work to get around the crowd of curious passerby's and news reporters, but he managed to emerge with both him and his food -sans the hot tea- intact. From there, Dimitri began to jog again, however this time things felt a bit different. Perhaps it was due to the adrenaline spike he'd experienced earlier still leaving him with lingering effects, but Dimitri felt as though he could see and feel the slightest movements from anyone within his immediate vicinity. He began to pick up the pace, weaving through the crowds with a combination of reflexes and contortion, completely unaware once more about how this may have looked to someone else.

To the people that he weaved around, Dimitri was a blur, still easily visible to the human eye, but with the way he moved it was hard to keep track of him for very long. His vision tunneled as he focused on moving ahead, quicker and quicker until- *HONK HOOOONK*. Dimitri's head snapped to the left as he realized that he'd wandered into the street while the cross walk was inaccessible. He didn't have time to consider his actions, his body seemed to move for him, launching him into the air with a powerful jump in time to avoid being ran into by a car. Dimitri cursed as he lost a grip on his bag of food, but this was almost forgotten as he landed on his feet. A rustling to his left caused Dimitri to dart his hand out to grab his food as it fell. For the lucky man, the traffic signal turned before he was forced to jump out of the way of another car, but that didn't keep the driver from hurling insults from behind the wheel. He began to respond, but froze when he realized no one else was moving onto the crosswalk, rather, they stood on the curb and stared at him as though he'd grown a second head.

Dimitri stared back and began to open and close his mouth in an attempt to find something to explain what he'd done, "Ahahaha...those parkour lessons really do wonders, huh?" he said nervously before mentally slapping himself. He didn't know how to preform parkour, he didn't even understand the appeal of parkour, flinging oneself off of a building was downright stupid to him. Still, the excuse seemed to work as people slowly entered the street to get across. Dimitri moved with the crowd, though once more he had to wonder what the hell was happening to him.

From below the forest canopy on a well worn trail, two men walked one in front of the other. Neither of these men looked particularly happy, especially not the one in front thanks to combination of his hands being tied behind his back, and the shotgun being aimed at him by the man behind him. "C'mon man, do we have to do this? It was just one damned horse!", "One damned horse that wasn't yours. Along with all of the supplies that happened to come with it. Now shut up and keep walking.". The man in front stop and turned, resulting in the barrel of the shotgun being aimed at his face rather than his back, "Look, let's make a deal, Jacque! I can pay you more than what my bounty's worth! I've got a stash of supplies not too far from the border of the Empire's northeast end! No one needs to know! Just-". The horse thief was cut off mid sentence by the butt of the gun being driven into his jaw, "Let's get something straight here, your bounty is the same whether you're dead or alive. I'm bringing you back alive as a courtesy, but I can change my mind if you insist on talkin'.".

The gun wielder -Jacque-, glared down at his quarry as he sprawled out in the dirt before yanking him to his feet, "Are there any more questions?" the bounty hunter grumbled as he shouldered his weapon again. The horse thief said nothing, he only turned and began to walk again to Jacque's satisfaction. "Good. We should make it to the collection office just before noon. You're lucky, that means we won't be walking during the hottest part of the day". The horse thief mumbled something, but Jacque paid it no mind. All that mattered to him now was the fact that he was about to get paid, and that there were more bounties to be had.

Gender: Male

History: A bounty hunter from Swyn, there's nothing particularly remarkable about Jacque, or how he got into the business that he's in. While many that resided in the parched lands became miners, traders, engineers, -or in the case of a fool hardy few- farmers, a few turned to crimes of a fearful sort to make their money, and with those few came their hunters. Jacque's father was a bounty hunter, as was his grandfather and great grandfather before him, and like all of those before him Jacque was set to follow the very same path, chasing the dollar and trading for it with lives. There were no training wheels with his lessons, as a child all of his lessons were drilled into him daily until his father deemed him ready for his first mark. His hit was pretty low level- a horse thief that had been spotted in the area. Jacque took him down after a three day hunt and brought him back to the local authorities, alive, but pretty banged up, much like Jacque himself. From there it was on to bigger and more dangerous bounties until eventually Jacque's father sent him out into the world, one: to ensure that he and his son wouldn't end up chasing the same bounties and interfering with one another, and two: to allow Jacque to see everything the world had to offer. Jacque's been on his own for roughly six years now, chasing bounties to bring back dead or alive, and if you ask him, he's pretty damned good at it.

You're much too kind. And I have to agree with you in regards to the travesty that was that Rp ending. As of late i've been debating whether or not to start up an RP in either the free or casual section based on this and the TT rp, but further in the future (say, about twenty or so years). The idea would be that the U.S. government would legalize vigilante activity with proper licensing, and after gaining some serious cash from the stock exchange Pulse -who at this point would be reaching grumpy old man status- would undergo the necessary procedures to acquire the tools and permits he'd need to open a facility to train people and issue licenses upon completion of their education.

I know that the 'hero school' troupe a bit common on this site, but i'm hoping to switch it up a bit and give it a more urgent 'passing the torch' sort of feel since i've always had this idea rooted in the back of my head that Pulse's powers are extremely volatile and that he'd eventually lose control of them and go critical when he got old. Pulse would know that he doesn't have very long and would keep it a secret as he tried to leave the world just a bit better through his final actions. The only things really stopping this idea are the facts that I know that eventually people are going to stop focusing on the classes and just mill about aimlessly, I'm not all that good at being a GM, and, as said before, hero school RPs are a dime a dozen here.

Oh, and if you want Kassy to hug Dimitri, you might wanna have her pin his arms so he doesn't go noogying her with his metal hand.
@CirusArvennicus Well, Mugin's been watching the RP for a while now, maybe he/she will make a meister?
