You do you know if you don't try? If you try and succeed...awesome! If you try and you don't succeed...at least you didn't let fear and doubt dictate your actions...

Css and then you start us off...it sounds great to me.

I'll get to work on my character and then the lab assistant.
1983...to be honest with you...I just pulled it out of the air! I have no clue why LOL!

I think we can pick it up from where they are just about to throw the switch...they are going through the final prep.
I'm still here.
The 1980's? Oh wow! That is such a great idea,,,I LOVE IT! Being on the run without the aid of cell-phones or the internet (as we know it we'd have to dial in and all that stuff with an actual phone) great idea Katelyn! Like 1983...perfect.

In terms of my character's age...yeah in the same range works great. The intern should be younger so yeah 4-6 works great. Surgeons by trade but scientists at heart...great wordsmithing there Katelyn.

The concept of pulling parts together..creepy and brilliant! I'm not familar with Oregon either but with the woods and the weather issues provides some great challenges when we are on the run.

In terms of the creature...what if the first time you tried it the assistant kills it and in the process the assistant gets killed, and then a couple years later my character comes along and provides you with the motivation to get back into this because he is on the verge of doing it and wants your help, because he knows that together they can do it (although we all know at some point they will wish they hadn't ).

For CSs I think we're solid on that besides we should leave some things out so as our characters find out things about each other so do we.
No problem, I understand. My day...not bad. I decided to put my Lego sets that were in pieces back together and helped my son take care of the basement.

Looking forward to this one too. Once we reach a point where we think we got enough to start with we'll do our CSs and then...it's showtime.
Hey there! Been a little busy today but I do have some other ideas...I'll get to them in a moment.

In terms of your CS...sounds good to me and I like the idea of a smaller one for the NPCs as well.

Time Frame/Location...It's about 2 years from now not too far in the future in the Northwest like Oregon. Her assistant and your character...maybe he was given an Internship by the medical company this is being done in conjunction with the Government? (something this radical the Government will want in on )

Now here's the items from my PM yesterday:

--The code name for our Government Project is Lazarus set in the Pacific Northwest (thinking Oregon).
--I will play also an NPC for a couple of posts who is a lab assistant. He will be killed by our creation and that is when we realize the severity of what we've done.
--We go on the run some of the places we end up. A run-down building, a poor neighborhood, and eventually the woods.
--When the Government realizes that we've lost control rather than have their own forces come after us they leave us to our creation. The Government also freezes our bank accounts so we are truly on our own/
--Our creation is not only incredibly strong, but we are discovering that his intelligence is increasing. Which means that sooner or later he might be one step ahead of us.
--His reason for wanting to kill us...whenever he asks us about how he came to exist we blow him off or change the subject. He eventually finds out about Lazarus and realizes that he is not truly human with a history or any hope of a real life. This causes him to snap wanting to seek vengeance against us.

And now for a few other ideas I had:

--The man pulling the strings on all of this...My character's father. He is the one who basically somehow someway makes sure that you end up at the hospital I work at.

-- My character has been working on a similar project but is missing certain equations that your character has figured out, and vice versa so this way we realize that working together we can finally make the project work. (Again we don't realize that we are being manipulated)

--In terms of a personal relationship...at first we are both just focused in on our work...but once we end up on the run we begin to realize that our work isn't everything to us. (later on down the line)

--The death of the assistant will come back to haunt us...(Evidence will be manipulated so it appears that you and I had known each other much longer and that you and I together killed the assistant).

What do you think?
Okay let's go with option 1. I'll get the notes from the PM in tomorrow I'm on my cell phone right now.
Nick Templeton was still in awe of his new surroundings. Sure he had lived in New York for almost two years, but when you're living on the run going out and sight seeing was not something that one readily did. It had a way of conflicting with that whole laying low thing so staying out of the public view was usually a good idea. In the last 48 hours Nick had not only received a Presidential Pardon, but he was on his way to live in the Avengers Tower with some new roommates which suited Nick fine because another downside to living on the run; relationships weren't exactly a great idea either.

He had finally gotten to see the Statue of Liberty, been to the top of the Empire State Building, saw that store Macy's that sponsored that Thanksgiving Parade that his family liked so much, and finally got to ride on the Subway. He wanted to go to Coney Island but Director Fury told him some other time. He said that maybe he and Thor could make a day of it since he hadn't been, but there were times it was hard to tell when Director Fury was kidding or not for Nick but when Fury rolled his eye and shook his head Nick knew fury was kidding. He had already met Thor his mentor once and even though he sounded like he should've been with the Knights of The Round Table Nick found Thor to be a really great guy. Thor emphasized the good things that he saw in Nick, and if there was problem that Thor saw in Nick he told him a story that would relate to what Nick was going through which made Nick realize that he was in excellent hands. Nick could hardly sit still not because he was in his first taxi ride, but he was on his way to The Avengers Tower. He felt very under dressed wearing merely a denim blue jacket, a plaid shirt, blue jeans, a pair of boots, and of course a cowboy hat, but one thing Thor told was to be true to who he was. Being a Southern boy was Nick right down to the core,.

The cab stopped in front of the Avengers Tower and the cab driver said, "That'll be 15.40 Gomer." Nick looked at him for a second and shook his head slowly he said, "I have an accent and you think I just came in from the farm don't you? Be careful messing with us Southern boys"

The cab driver said, "Look Gomer I don't care where you came from pay me or I'm holding your luggage until you come up with my money."

Nick replied, "Hold on my wallet is in my suitcase let me get it for you."

The cab driver said, "Oh no I open the trunk you take off. I don't think so."

Nick shook his head and said, "Oh don't worry about that. I'll get my stuff you just wait right there."

Nick got out of the cab and stood behind it. He then slammed his hands through the trunk lid as thought it were tissue paper and ripped upwards. There was a sizable hole in the trunk large enough for Nick to get his bag out. He got his bag out and walked over to the driver's side door to a very visibly shaken driver.

Nick got out his wallet and said, "Now I believe the total was 15.40, and how much you figure I owe for the trunk?"

The driver stared in awe at Nick and said, "Keep it. This one is on me, and the trunk a ummmm a pigeon slammed into it. Don't worry about it young man. Have a nice stay here."

The driver left a trail of rubber as he drove away. Nick said, "Well that was right nice of him. Must've been my Southern charms." Nick smiled and had a good laugh as he made his way to the Avengers Tower. He was greeted by a sizable gentleman as Nick showed him his papers. The gentleman named Happy gave him a key card, told him to have a nice day, and told him he was impressed with the Taxi Cab trunk.

Nick tipped his hat and said, "Thank you sir." He got on the elevator and it felt like it took forever to get to the 93rd floor, and when the elevator doors finally opened Nick was amazed at what he was seeing. His mom once went to Graceland and told him all about it and he knew it would break his mom's heart if she could hear Nick say Graceland was nothing compared to this place. He put his bag down and just looked around until finally he let out a whistle and said, "Look at all this. Oh my."

Nick heard someone call from upstairs and he figured that must be one of his new roommates. He made his way up the stairs and almost tripped twice. When he finally arrived at the top of the stairs he saw a panel that looked like one of those security things S.H.I.E.L.D was famous for. Nick placed his hand there and a light ran over it and a voice said, “Agent Knock-Out Avenger Apprentice. Identification verified. Welcome to Avengers Tower Mr. Templeton.”

As the door slid open Nick said, "We gotta work on that. I hear Mr. Templeton I expect to see my daddy nearby."

Nick carried his bag down the hall and saw a young lady there and said as he approached, "Howdy ma'am oh sorry..." He sat his bag down and took off his hat and said, "I forgot my manners ma'am, Mama would slap me silly for not taking my hat off in the presence of a lady. Name's Nick Templeton ma'am if you'll allow me to get my bag in room I'll be happy to chat with you some more. Excuse me."

Nick grabbed his hat and walked over to a door that read, "Knock Out" which slid open. Nick smiled and walked in his room. He said, "Well this is right nice. Very nice indeed."

He opened up his bag and put his lap top, that Fury gave him, on the desk, then unloaded his clothes, and lastly took out the pocket watch and he opened it up. On one side had his mom and dad on one side, and his sister on the other side which Nick laid next to the lap top. He looked at the pictures and said, "I ain't gonna let you down I promise. I'll make you proud I swear."

Nick exited the room and walked back to the young lady and said, "I apologize for being in such a rush. This is all so new to me. What's your name if you don't mind me asking?"
It looks great, but just one question if I am reading your last point correctly your character has already begun the work on the experiment. How does my character find out about it? Or am I reading it wrong and they start to work on it together?

Just clarify for me if you would please.

Thank you,
(tapping the mic)...umm are we still playing?
