...I genuinely thought you were the little wizard thing and thought "yup, that's a weird one". XD And then I thought you were crazy because that thing ain't got no gray hair, or hood, and looks incredibly weird and creepy wow.

EDIT: If Thewizardguy or Batman dear can't get to putting everyone in rooms, surely I could give it a shot? o.o It would be fun, rolling two dice or so and just placing everyone randomly. Besides, random placement is best. So you get first years bunking with other years bunking with other years. And if ever arrangements are made for the rooms, you can have it on the OOC Original Post as well for people to refer to, as well as mentioning it IC somewhere. IT would be easy, just numbering the characters in the order they signed up. Though that would mean it would be difficult to even get into a room with the person who signed up just after you, but who knows, haha, you could be lucky...

Also, Kingofkings, Ornstein is the combat teacher. ^^ And Batman (Mr_pink? :c) Have you done away with Gamil? Or is he still around? Watching. Creeping. Eep.

How ridiculously irresponsible of me.

A certain elven teacher woke with a cranky demeanour and a loud moan to assert her presence too. Her head was killing. Too much to drink, that hadn't happened many times before but it still did happen often enough to make her no stranger to what a hangover felt like though she never seemed to get accustomed to it. Luckily, her elven origins allowed her recovery quicker than humans, but not nearly as fast as any other races particularly fond of alcohol. Struggling to even sit up, she rolled around a little, pulled the covers over her head and murmured indiscernible words and phrases to herself. Some about magic, some about wanting to go home, some about how early it is in the morning. After fumbling around to try and kill an alarm, realising the thrumming was coming from the church bells that rang seven times, she tried to count in her haze, and grab a glass of water from the desk beside her and take a swig, she finally sat up and looked around. She didn't remember even making it to her room in the middle of the night, but she was here, somehow. Magically? Naw. Someone, or a group of people, probably had to carry her here. Irresponsible, irresponsible. Especially for a teacher, needing to set an example!

"Mmh, I'll make it right today." she groaned as she got herself out of bed and downed some more water herself, unaware that in the students' dorms a building across, the lad from earlier she'd had a silent conversation with had done the same thing. And by the time she was done showering, thankful that the teachers' accommodation had much more to offer than the dorms, she'd felt a world of good. She checked her schedule whilst she brushed out her wet hair and let it fall over her shoulder, creating a light breeze in the palm of her hands to help it dry faster. There was a class to be taught in the morning, followed by another before a break of about 45 minutes long where students could retire to dorms, or feel free to explore the school grounds. She had very much planned on doing the latter, hearing of the riding facilities offered. Classes were about an hour long each so she'd be done soon. Lovely.

Donning her riding boots, a pair of cream breeches and a tunic in deep red, she put on her cloak and smirked a little at the contrast in colours. She looked quite multicoloured, to say the least, but it didn't bother her. She wore what she felt the most comfortable in. She knew it'd be an asset in a class scenario. Fixing up her hair in a bun held with some pins and putting the ring on, she grabbed her glasses and teaching material before making her way out the door, elven ears twitching and the blood warm in her cheeks at new promise. She found the class she was assigned and set her things down on the table. Mostly books, always books. She actually cracked one open and furiously scribbled down what she'd learnt and discerned of the undead man the day before. It was an interesting race indeed, she couldn't afford to forget anything. Knowledge was all power.

Setting up her material on her desk neatly and making sure everything was right, she'd never admit to minor OCD tendencies but they were very much there, she sat down in her seat with the rectangular frames resting on her nose as she thought up a warm greeting speech. She'd gotten everything else done with, the lesson plan, what not. Ease them into the course. But she hadn't planned on a greeting speech, and though she thought of scribbling it down, she knew it would be for naught. She just had to make one up, in her head, and hope it floated their boats.
Time zones are going to be the death of me.
I LEAVE FOR ONE NIGHT. BARELY TWELVE HOURS PLUS SCHOOL.
AND SIR, LET ME KINDLY SHOVE MY OPINION HERE.
What the actual fuck did I do to miss 3 entire pages of OOC and who knows how many of IC!
Exactly. Random room placement, I'm all for that. Max 4 to a room? So the currently active characters we have are: Hotarubi, Xelou, Guy, Rezubian, Delia, K'shaar, Uzama (forgot first name, sorry), Isaac, Jargon, Victor, Talon, Beaux, Rhea(maybe?). Reine dropped out, scrap that from the chara list. I don't know if the others are gonna be responsive.Nobody from that original cast has posted in a while...
And where do the teachers sleep? In the building yeah...special teacher accomodation, wow.
I think end the banquet now. It's right enough, and I can see how some students, or teachers, would be getting bored by this time.
And as a very frank, mean statement, Manapool and KingofKings, and actually the two newcomers too, you need to learn how to keep the posting in check. >> I don't know how many posts I had to come back to, but I was certainly overwhelmed. I don't want to think of the people who hadn't posted since before me, and had to come back and read all of that.
Apologies in advance, but there's so much going on at once, it's hard for me to keep track of it all. Perhaps posting longer posts but in less quantity would be great.
And if the randomness would kind of be more flowing, that would be great.
Trying not to be an elitist party pooper but you know. >>"""
Come on, I can't be the only one who thinks that, right, guys? Guys? Anyone? *shot*
...yup. Seems like classes start in the morning. Third has to make her speech before bed for all. Early to bed, early to wake. Makes a lady smart, pretty and great.
Well, Batman, when a German man and an Asian woman love each other very much...
Naw, not going down that road. Though I'm all for international relationships. They're so cute! <3 I'm assuming she had it in her lineage somewhere, but that still wouldn't explain a lot of things.
Maybe her father walked out after a while? Left the children weapons of European make, and just. Got up and left, like the general he must have been, to fight in a war, and just died there, leaving the mother's family to raise the children by themselves and so of asian culture and stuff?
I don't know. Throwing around suggestions here as to why.
Freija

"Ooh, a magic-user." Freija purred as she looked the boy over with scrutinising eyes. They took in little details about him, his stance, everything, even if he was crouching on the ground. "Wind magic is one of the easier ones. Wind is the air, it's present all around us. It's one of the easiest to manipulate, so you have the potential to excel in your forte. Depends on what you'd like to do with it...though, might I say, it's very handy in aiding in speed. Adds a skip to your step, a little gush of wind at your heels."
Deducing the boy was no threat, Freija reached for her glass again and took another long drag. Maybe it was one of her flaws, but she found herself idly sipping on whatever was in front of her, not realising quantity of anything could be an issue, and in this case, magic user or otherwise that too much would have her intoxicated in a short time.
I think I'm going to be mistaken for a student a lot here. You need not worry yourself." she swirled her glass around some more, her appetite finally having returned enough to nibble on some steamed carrots and bread with fine butter.

She was just in time to catch Third's nod and returned a smile of her own, bright an innocent like a student's despite her years, though really, she wasn't much different from most of them after all.
"Nice to meet you, Beaux. I'm glad you're not like them. It gets quite boring, after a while." she trailed off, even as he sat down in a free seat close to them. She looked on, just casually observing the crowd at the banquet. Everyone was doing something or the other. It made her smile, and her eyes widen a little when, during her little scan of the room, she noticed a feline creature making its way to her. She didn't flinch, but just sat back in her seat a little more casually, glass in hand, to her lips, back firm in her hand again.

The first thing she noticed was the furry presence, and then the moustache. She had to suppress a giggle and put on a straight face, though it came naturally a handful of seconds in. She still did bite her lip to keep herself from losing it in the first couple, though. "Yes, I believe I'm the new teacher of magic here. Unless, you know. There's someone else. And then you have the wrong person and possibly should be looking elsewhere." she stuck her tongue out a little. Childish, daring. "I'm assuming your name is K'shaar, then? Well yes. I'm the new generalist. My name is Freija Kiraiian. It's nice to meet you. I assume you're a student here?" her eyes fell upon his han-err...paws. No ring present. No necklace with the school's emblem on it either. She was right in her assumption.

"Ah, I specialise in spells that are based around healing or protecting. Forcefields and the like that can be thrown up around an individual. Though, to be fair, there is a lot you could do with forcefields...hm. Ah, also elemental manipulation. Destruction magic is a reckless kind, if I do say so myself, and sadly not one I'm as familiar with as the basic kinds of elemental and environmental magic, or the magic of manipulation on non-elemental grounds. Such as mind control, all that. Not very difficult but they involve lots of psychic energy. Anyway, destruction magic...hm. Not exactly my forte, but I believe it requires a stunning amount of control. And that is a huge part of the classes I'll be teaching. How to master the magic you already have, and focus on control and having it bring out the best in you. You could put it in the perspective of swordplay. I could teach you how to carry a sword, and your stance and perhaps even what sword would be right for you. Even things about awareness of the environment around you. But your individual fighting style, I couldn't help you learn that. We do have a Destruction magic teacher at this school, I believe...are you a new student?" She asked, genuinely curious. "You must meet this old man, Azelf. He's very quiet, but radiates a lot of energy, and potential indeed. He could easily be the best person to teach you further at this school. And I could teach you to harness that."

She breathed after the mouthful of words, blinking up at the student like half the words would have gone over his head, vocabulary and all.
"Oh, and haha. I'm starting to think I'm going to be called a student more than I thought around here...but thank you for the compliment. I don't reckon a lady ever wants to look older than her years."
Do I sense some sexual tension here?
Ahahaha, no. >> <3 Nice to have you aboard, Epiphany. Here's looking forward to Deadpixel accepting her. THough we're overrun with first years, so thank you for making a second year. <3

EDIT: I think everyone should be assigned dorms by Third. She does write the laws, after all.
And plus. I trust her to make some pretty badass pairings. *-* Like, put the one self-centered jerk and the quiet girl (Rhea) in one room, and maybe make Isaac bunk with like, K'shaar. >> Wow. I love how he's part cat and I can just fluff and love him and. <3
Freija totally isn't attracted to cats or anything, nope.
But to be fair, Batman (I wanna call you that damnit. <<"). There are like. No teacher takers for her. << Everyone is dark and mysterious wow and her personality is just. Like that sole ray of hope shining in a dark place. The only person I can even see Freija being with is Third.
And Third is a woman. And Freija is like. Straight.
So it probably might be a student she'll end up with. Given, they're about as old as her (Talon, for example. I think Suzanne was even older, at 24.)

The Elven woman smiled right back to the comfort of the smile of the boy a few tables across. She even dared mouth a silent 'thank you' when her fluttering heart settled in her chest, and she sat up a little more upright in her chair, a little more confidence and a little more like her usual self, with an almost regal aura about her. It wasn't unlike Elves, really. Her eyes rested on him for just a little bit longer when he dug into his meal, and she remembered her own on her plate, and the sound of a voice to her side. Finally looking up at Victor, one of the very few times it happened that evening, her eyes were almost a little apologetic and she twirled the braid about a little nervously with the fingers of her left hand, her idle hand, with a smile so tiny at her lips, it was as if reserved just for him. Whether in apology or general interest was unknown.

It didn't take her long to trace back the conversation to what he had said a little earlier, but there was a little bit of a pause indeed. "Ah, Victor? I think that's a fine name. Nothing quite wrong with it, for a lad that I do expect to impress me with how hard he works, mm? It'll be a pleasure teaching you, Victor. I'd introduce myself again, but that brief period in the Courtyard must have been enough for you to catch my name. Besides, I'm assuming you're going to learn a lot of it in the next couple of months. I don't know how your schedule is placed, but you'll see me at least once a week. Sadly enough." she gave him a smirk, even biting her bottom lip a little as her hand crawled for the glass of water, and she took another sip, the last sip. She was actually daring enough to excuse herself from the conversation long enough to reach over for a bottle and pour herself some wine. Red, she preferred it to white. She swished it around in her glass a little before bringing that to her lips and taking a longer sip of it than she ever did her water. "Oh, don't worry about me. I'm really okay. It's just...well. Being new here is a little intimidating, hah. So far I've only met about a couple of people. Nobody, save Third, seems very talkative here. It's a strange matter."

She couldn't be more wrong, almost flinching when she noticed the student come up beside her. Before anything else, she put her glass down before turning to the lad. Her breath was sweet with the wine lingering on her tongue, her lips, and though it wasn't as good as some things they had back home, she definitely had to commend it. Not bad at all. "Oh, hello there." she squeaked. The first thing she noticed about him was the scarf, and she could recall seeing him out in the courtyard earlier too. She nodded with recognition before speaking again "Ah, if you mean me, I believe I'll be teaching you this year." she flashed her ring here, quite proud of how it caught the light. "One of the more younger teachers on the team, I'd say. It's my first year here, and very nice to meet you, er..." she trailed off. Gosh, people needed to start telling her their names more.
"Anyway, my name is Freija Kiraiian, or Miss Kiraiian to you, sir. Depends. I'll be teaching general magic mastery this year. And though it definitely seems like a hurdle to overcome, I think we'll do just fine."
Blinking over at Victor again, she added "And if you were referring to my friend here, well, I suppose it's open invitation, eh? Perhaps the one time of year we get to sit where we please, but I'm not sure how this school works. Perhaps all banquets will be like this. Regardless, students can very well mingle with teachers, like you're doing right now. Actually, on that note..."
Her ears perked up a little as she noticed someone across the hall gesturing towards her, or something like it, whilst talking to someone else. The same two lads sparring from earlier. She gave them a curious look before turning back to Beaux with a smile and a softer whisper so not many could hear but him.
"Congratulations. You're the first person ballsy enough I've met at this school. Everyone else is ridiculously quiet or distant, something or the other. It's nice to meet you, definitely."
