Cortez's face puffed up again.

"Yush, yush," she said, still trying to stick behind David, but straightened up when he stood next to her. "This landlubber needs some manners. He's a mean-lookin' landlubber. Bully."

Ryuu would have planted his face into a hand had it not been for him focusing on Adenine. Oh, if only the dunce in front of her would just say something! For some reason, the otaku was feeling tad bit annoyed by the way they were looking at each other, but he decided otherwise. If he was a troubled man, then technically, Ryuu was on the same boat with him.

The otaku sighed before barely walking over to the student he never met before. Actually, now that he thought about it, he did see him at the cafeteria, but only for a while. Still exhausted from the hectic events, the student wearing broken sunglasses said to the dark-haired student with a hand raised for a shake,

"Name's Ryuu. You?"

Wow, I actually managed to sound decent in that part...

...

...But I better get going to the infirmary soon. And I swear, if the doctor's crazy as well, I'm gonna go nuts.

Cortez, on the other hand, slowly began to inch behind David. Even though he was a friend of this "Ryuu," the pirate captain of the Screaming Pearl felt that it was safe to take cover behind him. She felt pretty safe, like she was hiding behind one of he crew mates.

"Are you hurt, mate?" Cortez asked, hoping that this student was not hurt. After all, he seemed like a good person. At this point, her confident voice had slowly begun to surface.

Meanwhile, Terotrax wondered why he was standing at the back gate of the school.

Ryuu simply sighed in defeat. He did it again- he interrupted someone with his own b-tching. Adenine then asked him if they were friends.

"...Well, she ran away when I met her, so... That's that."

Cortez flinched.

The pirate captain noticed that she was getting a lot more attention now. Did taking her hat off bless her with some sort of angelic spell? No, she highly doubted it. But from what she could tell, now was definitely a good time to introduce herself. She looked at David, whose arm she did not notice, then at the sunglasses-wearing man, and then at the cute person who managed to open an opportunity to introduce herself.

"I'm," she began before a bright, big smile entered her face. "Me name is Jeanne R. Cortez, mates! Captain of the Screamin' Pearl! I thank you for finally giving me a chance to say my name, aye!"

"Wow," was all Ryuu managed to come up with in a joking manner. "You mean you came all the way here to say your name?"

"Ah."

"...Huh?..."

The two simply blinked at each other.

Suddenly, Cortez jumped behind David, slightly hiding with humorously tearful eyes. She whispered to the student, whose arm she still did not notice,

"He is a bully, aye?"

"BULLY MY ASS, WOMAN!!! I was just kidding about that, by the way! And stop looking at me like that!"

Cortez pulled out her gun, saying in an annoyed, yet timid manner,

"Bully."

"Okay, I officially give up. I'm gonna go shoot myself n- hm?"

Ryuu noticed that Adenine was now staring at someone. He turned, only to find a dark-haired boy standing in front of her. No, he was not like good ol' David. This guy seemed... different, in a sense. In fact, he really had no problems with people being different.

What surprised him was the knowing look they gave each other.

Wait a damn second, the otaku thought, a vein behind his head about to pop. This guy... He must be that one annoying-ass "cousin" character so many anime use. Aw, sh-t, he better not start spouting like "I was the first one to kiss her ass" or something!

Ryuu stood in a somewhat protective manner, though he was severely misunderstanding things in the dumbest way possible.

Meanwhile, Cortez quietly asked David after recovering from her ironic bully trauma,

"What's yer name again...? I forgot because I... Er, I mean, Me forgot because me got scared back there..."

Background: Totem was bought by Leonardo de Caprio from some pawn shop. Leonardo, one day, decided to say "Let there be life," and then Totem was brought to life. Leonardo invented an ultimate weapon through this. Utilizing rage and negative emotions, Totem is now used as a topblade to spin and spin for powerful effects. But it seems that Totem has ulterior motives...
