Creme was initially surprised when Sister Penance and Captain Moss walked away without addressing her, but she was glad to see that she decided to take initiative. As it seemed the man would be getting plenty of attention, she defaulted to following Jasper's earlier instruction. Apparently, they were to gather in the ballroom now that the "true" guests were arriving. An odd way to phrase it, she thought, but it was none of her concern. She still didn't really understand what the Lord of the manor how exactly wanted her here for, but hoped that more answers were on there way, now that the night was starting to take off.

Quietly stepping past Oliver and Jasper, she looked around the Central hall, saying "Pardon me Sirs." Lowering her head as she did so. She didn't take much tome to admire the scenery around her, still not in a good head space after the sight from earlier. She hoped getting to the ballroom before others would give her a much needed break to recollect and stabilize herself. She crossed right through the center, quickly reaching the other side. On the bright side, she figured she might be able to see Blush again if they truly were to all regroup in Ballroom.

Adalene smiled at Emmie. She was clearly not taking this well, but she shook her head. "Don't worry about it, really. Worst case scenario? I kick his ass seven ways from Sunday." She said reassuringly, finished up the food on her plate. She was pretty confident she could take some loser Emmie stole from in a fight. Taking a napkin and cleaning off her face, she looked away for a moment. She really wasn't that worried. It did surprise her though, that the man managed to remember Emmie well enough to recognize her from across a restaurant. That seemed unlikely. It wouldn't hurt, however, if they could avoid confrontation.

"Just the check please." She said to the waitress, before turning her attention back to Emmie. "If we wanted to stay out of trouble..." She said quietly, waiting to make sure the waitress was out of earshot, "After we've paid, we could teleport out from the bathroom." she didn't like the idea of risking losing her lunch, and would be fine otherwise confronting the man, but she figured putting the option out there was fair. "Either way works for me." She reassured her, leaning back in her seat. She wanted Emmie comfortable, and she didn't know how Emmie reacted to conflict, so this would be a good way to judge that.

Bart made a "Hmm," At James' comment. He made a fair point, if they were watching them, planning about sneaking around was self defeating. Still, they had to communicate, and if they were openly hostile to the group, then any plan they made would necessarily be at a disadvantage. His attention turned to The Hat as he entered, and really smiled. He liked getting praise, it let him know he was doing something right, and it just felt good to know he was appreciated. He looked over at Faith worriedly though, at the mention of Golgotha and Miss Babylon. If Gio had gone to investigate that, surely their misadventure would soon be common knowledge to the other Emendators if it weren't already. Getting ahead of that would be the best thing for the two of them, he though.

He inhaled for a moment, and stared straight ahead at Faith, hoping to get her attention. If he was going to go to share this with Gil, he wanted Faiths permission, it was her fuck up too after all. Most of all, he didn't want to reveal this to the paradoxes around him. Maybe it was stupid, and maybe they'd find out anyway, but he didn't want to make himself look like the failure that he was that day. Closing the distance between Faith and himself, and quietly said to her, "We should talk." Hoping she'd be on board with coming clean. In light of recent events, that really deemed to be the only course acceptable course of action. There was no room for secrets right now.

Miss Creme took a step back at Jasper's response to her, and turned her head down a tiny bit. Perhaps she could have chosen her words more carefully, but she doubted the man was stabbed on accident, though she could be wrong. She liked to assume the best in people, and while the Madame had put her off, she didn't want to think she would hurt anybody on purpose. She regretfully admitted to herself, however, that that was, in all probability, the case. She didn't have a good response for Jasper, so she counted her lucky stars that he was quick to be off, evidently having more important things to attend to.

Drawing breath, she turned to the two others who had joined her on this endeavor, taking a moment to gather her thoughts. "Um, I could go find that Oliver man." She offered, hoping to be able to help. She made a face though, "I'm not quite sure about what he'd need past bandages though, if you can give me some directive, I'll do my best to follow it!" She added on. To her, that'd be the best way for her to help. It'd speed up the process of giving the man the help he deserved, while keeping herself safe and away from the situation proper. She moved her gaze between them, hoping they'd appreciate her plan and take her up on it.

Adalene snorted at Emmie's smirk, and returned it in kind. "Sure." She said playfully. Adalene noticed Emmie's discomfort, and went on guard. She followed her gaze, and gave Emmie a worried look. Had she noticed something Adalene hadn't? She figured Emmie was one to keep on her toes, given the fact that she had been living on the street for quite awhile before moving in with Adalene, and that would kind of be a necessary life skill in order to survive. She pulled her purse closer to her, ready to spring in to action if they were in some kind of danger.

She was then relieved when Emmie explained the situation. "Oh, I see." She pursed her lips for a second, and tried to come up with a solution to this. That man looked mad, and she wanted to avoid a scene. Making a decision, she quickly, and quietly said, "No you didn't. If he comes over here, let me do the talking. You're new in town, my sister." She said simply, trusting Emmie would understand what she was putting down. NYC was a big city, and she considered it would be pretty believable that somebody might be a lookalike of another person. She however did give her a pointed look, "Later though, I do want to know what exactly happened." If Emmie was in the habit of robbing people, Adalene might have to rethink their relationship a tiny bit.

Bart cracked his knuckles, one at a time, as he listened to the rest of them talk out ideas. "Making sure we run anything we come up with by Gil is a good idea." He agreed, but he wasn't quite sure how too deal with their current guests. They could be allies or enemies, and they didn't know which. To him, this meant they couldn't do anything to risk terribly offending them, but at the same time, they required supervision, and the paradoxes had to make sure to limit the access to information these people had. It seemed like Sophia had monitoring down pat with her ability, but he was concerned with Alexandra's readiness to share the location of Peter's grave with them. Now wasn't the time to play the blame game though, they had to move forward.

Bart nodded at James's idea, a direct approach would cut any bullshit, "Meanwhile, Sophia should keep a bead on them with her superhearing, can you hear all the way out to Peter's grave from here?" He checked. As far as he knew, they had no idea Sophia was capable of this, so maintaining this surveillance would hopefully give them key insight into their goals. He looked up at the ceiling to think, trying to come up with anything else actionable. "In case they don't appreciate our directness," He said slowly, "or this otherwise goes sour, when we ask them, a few of us might want to remain hidden and nearby, to maintain advantage should this come to blows." He didn't like having to think like that, but a Ferris Wheel was nearly dropped on them not five minutes ago, and that being a coincidence was not likely in his eyes.

Though Sister Penance had decided to ignore Miss Creme, she was lucky enough that Jasper had chosen that moment to address the two of them. She would've felt so uncomfortable going out of her way to get his attention, so the fact that it had just been given to her made what had to be done next much easier. "Actually Sir." She said slowly, "There's been an incident two rooms over, it would seem a guest of tonight's event has been stabbed." She said, bringing her hands out and clasping them together. "I worry he may be in need of medical attention." She figured that, if anything, Jasper would be worried about upsetting the incoming guests, even if not for the man's health.

She looked over towards Sister Penance with a small, kind smile on her face. Maybe she just hadn't heard her when Creme originally addressed her, she was, after all, a very quiet person. and she could see how somebody might just glance over herself. Hopefully she managed to catch that Creme had done her part, she assumed Jasper was not the type of man to appreciate repetition, and worried that her tacking anything more on might upset him. She did, however, decide to say, "If you would like, I can take you to him." She offered. Staying near somebody, especially a person in a position of power, would be comforting for Creme, especially in this trying time.

Adalene coughed a but at Emmie's last question. She shook her head, "Nope." A boyfriend right now would be a massive distraction for her, that's what she told herself anyway. She didn't really know if she wanted a relationship with anybody right now. She wasn't expecting that question from Emmie, and the thought briefly crossed her mind that maybe Emmie was somehow interested in her that way. Regardless of how many people in her field did swing that way, she was didn't think she was one of them. "Why'd you ask?" She question, leaning back in her chair, smiling at her friend,

She sipped her water, and though about the walk of fame. That would be something she would be very interested in seeing. All of her idols were on there, and she hoped that she would be too one day. She swallowed, and tried to come up with how they could actually go and see these places. It was a nice thought, but perhaps impractical in reality. She didn't really have the funds to take a cross country trip, and even if she did, she had classes to worry about. There was always break, but her first one wouldn't be for at least a few months from now.

Bart was disappointed in Alexandra's initial reaction. He didn't expect to just be listened to, but he had hoped that she would do more than wave him off. He looked over at Faith, and held up a finger. He wanted to give her a chance to move on with them, not being one to give up so easily. He watched her exchange with Benjamin, and his lips widened into a smile when she ultimately decided to join them. Turning his back to head towards the Kitchen House. Getting their collective shit together was important, and while there was really no way for them to have been prepared for this situation, the fact that it was coincidence that all of them seemed to get in the together here really worried him.

As he walked towards the Kitchen House, he began to think about ways to mitigate this in the future. This wouldn't be a problem in the 21st century of course, cellphones had been a luxury he'd known for much of his life, and lacking that easy access to mass communication made solving problems like this very difficult. He almost wondered if they could rig up some type of basic alarm system, that would make it easy to get them to gather in the event of an emergency. The main issue he saw with that was, even if it was achievable, he couldn't think of a reasonable system design that wouldn't be horribly overt. Maybe this would be the something to mention to the rest of the Paradoxes, an implementation of some kind of protocol in event of emergencies.

Bartholomew was well lost in his thoughts by the time he got in the kitchen house, practically walking on autopilot. He leaned against the wall as he waited for the rest of them to gather here. His eyes were pointed well at the ground as he thought, but his attention was diverted by the smell of coffee. His nose crinkled a little bit at the scent, never being the biggest fan of the stuff. To him, tea had much more nuance and depth of flavor, but hey, whatever made people happy. He was half tempted to make a cup for himself, but he didn't want himself distracted from the conversation that was about to ensue.

Creme was happy to see that she would not be alone in her search to find somebody to alert, smiling as Penance walked out of the room, "W-we can look together." She said, still shaken by the incident. She stepped closer to Penance," Sorry to run right out, I don't deal with pressure very well..." She said, her voice small and quiet. Knowing she wasn't the only one who wanted to look for help was reassuring to her about the type of people here. Blush had been nice, but between Mauve and the man who'd been stabbed, she had been feeling worried about her present company.

She was also happy that somebody would be around to do the talking for them. She wouldn't feel comfortable trying to explain what happened, she felt like doing that would be like going back to the moment. She wanted this to be resolved as soon as possible, so she could move on, and forget about it, as hard as that might be. She crossed into the Grand Vestibule, waiting for Penance to follow her. She stepped to the side of the door, and stood with her back straight, her hands folded behind her. She took a look around the large room, and saw that she was not alone, but that the Lord's butler was here as well. She waved at the man, trying to motion for him to come over to her.
