Location:The Ground
Skills: Ferrokinesis, Knife fighting

Watching a Venti attack Demi, a sort of anger overtook Arthur. He wasn't too close to Demi, but he was done with the idea that he'd lose another person today. His knife floating up in the air, the Stygian blade embedded itself in the monster, rendning it from existence. A kind of fire blazed in his eyes, and the knife continued to stab away at the next one, missing twice, while the monster lunhed for him in turn. Side stepping, he glared at it, before giving a look back to Demi, making sure that he wasn't hurt too badly, flahsing a smile he way and exhaling in relief.

Retracting the knife back to him, he looked at Andy, saying, "God, how many more of these things can there be?" He hoped they'd be cleared out soon, he didn't want to keep fighting anymore. Killing just wasn't in him, even if it seemed like he could do it well enough. Life was just too much right now, and the endless sea of murder he found himself in was getting painful, and annoying, The more he was on this mission, the more he knew that this was not the life that he really wanted to have. It was exhausting, both emotionally and physically, and not something that sparked joy in his life.

Elizabeth stay where she was seated, not seeing too much of a reason to start roaming around at the moment. She had some thinking to do. If she was correct and Ragnarok was heading towards them, then she either had to get her affairs in order, or prevent it. She didn't know how effective fighting against the tide of fate would be, but if the world was to end, it wasn't like not fighting against it would be oblivion any more or less empty. It felt like the "hero" thing to do, so she knew she would probably do it. People didn't write stories about those who nobly stayed at home and waited for fate to run its course.

She just hoped the Thanes would actually take her seriously. Given her age, she hoped that that would get them to listen, even if she was a little... absurd at times. She didn't make a habit off lying per say, and she hoped they knew she wouldn't mess around when it came to the end of the world. upon thinking that, she visibly winced. In all honesty, she might, which wouldn't make convincing them easy by any means. If she kept it up for long enough, she was sure they'd believe her eventually, or at least, that was what she hoped. She wasn't the best at mobilizing people on her own, she she really needed their backing here.

Oliver consciously had to keep himself from glaring at Hill. Like, yes, him hating his father should dissuade a lot of fear that they had. Thanos burned his city, did they think Oli was just gonna be okay with that? If one thing was made clear by this comment, it's that Hill was not being rational by any means. He couldn't be taking marching orders from her when she was like this; listening to angry people who wanted to control others was how a country descended into fascism, and he wasn't about to help with that. As he thought of this, Baptiste peaced out, crashing through a window, and his eyes widened. That was a bold move to say the least, but he wouldn't not be joining her immediately.

Even with his powers, he wasn't a fighter, and open defiance would not end well for him. He'd stay with the team for now, but he'd do what he could to gain more information on why Hill was acting like this, and what he exact plans were. He was a computer scientist and a mathematician first, a speedster second, and he had to remember that if he wanted to be effective. No, instead, as Cass announced that they could opt out if they wanted, Oliver smiled and said, "Count me in, I gotta show I'm not a traitor to an evil space emperor, right?" There was a part of him that had a kind of burning anger about the fact that Hill even thought that was possible, so he didn't mind leaking that, it was a reasonable thing to have.

Elizabeth paused for a moment at Mary's question. The winter would kill her plants for sure, so all she could think to say is, "Sometimes, the beauty in something is that it has an ending." She was proud of herself for that one. She knew she couldn't strictly compete with Mary, but hey, giving up like that never did anyone any good. She did suspect that Mary might be a bit lost if not for her powers though, but she didn't know how good she actually was.

Meanwhile, while she'd love nothing more than crush her in a anime style garden competition, ala food wars, there were sundaes on the line, and she couldn't not get one. Turning to face Guin, she smiled at the new suit, and wiped some of the sweat from her forehead, "It's not that hot out, come down to Texas sometime, you'll see a real scorcher. But..." She trailed off, "Ice cream does sound really good. Yes please!" Glancing over at Mary, she smiled, and said, "We'd have to see who's the better gardener, sans powers, I'm sure I could at least give you a run for your money." She teased, always one for competition.

As Andy blasted lighting off into the air, Arthur watched in a kind of wonder. It really was something cool to see, sure, he could raise the dead, but that was pure power. He watched as it fell down to the ground, and it took him a few moments for him to properly react. Fumbling around for the controls, he pointed the sucker towards the monster, only for it to jam. Cursing under his breath, he shook he head, and pulled it back for a moment, before sucking the creature up without problem, He found it easier and easier to lose focus recently, but that really wasn't something that should be happening right now.

Letting the knife fly through the air once more, it embedded itself in another one of the monsters, but it didn't seem to kill it properly. Pausing for a moment, he sighed. He didn't know if he wanted to get better with weapons or not, but it was feeling like more and more of a thing he'd need to do. These creatures didn't seem to be a major threat, but he knew someday he'd be standing down a monster that would be. At the same time, 'getting better at killing things' just quite frankly seemed like the type of thing that hew shouldn't have to do as a kid.

Well, that was the reddest flag possible if he'd ever seen one. The council wanted to do something about him, for no other reason than his parentage. That put him between a rock and a hard place. If he didn't help, then that could push things to the point that they arrested him anyway, and if they managed to arrest Captain America, they might feel empowered to take him down as well. This made it clear that it was only a matter of time before he'd be in a jail cell. He'd need to figure out the best path forward, but the first step was clear at least, "Well, I guess I'm in then." He said, clearly unhappy about the situation.

As Flynn stormed out, he huffed. If there was one thing to make this entire situation worse, it was him being right about something. Taking a chance however, he looked at Hill and said, "I'd appreciate though, Director, if you didn't call me that again. Thanos may have provided half of my genetic code, but make no mistake, I'm not his son." There was a kind of vitriol in his voice at this point, though it wasn't at Hill per say, more so it was triggered by her having the gall to call him that. He hated hearing his name, having people stare at him for it, like he choose to have that monster as a parent.

As she was chastised and people ran off, she shrugged. Such was the way things were around here, she thought. She didn't care much if people were angry at her, any kid who started crying from something like that needed to change, otherwise they'd be a danger to themselves, and anybody they ever went on a mission with. As it stood, she didn't have a very high opinion of the girl, but she hoped this would start he down a path where Beth might have something resembling that for her. In the mean time, she tried to figure out what she'd be doing. She didn't need much in the way of supplies from the shop, so she strolled out.

Reaching into her bag, she sat against the wall and pulled out a pen and journal. Clicking her tongue for a moment, she scribbed down some runes, and just felt her head go a bit fuzzy. "Come now... you can tell me what I want to know, can't you?" She asked under her breath, as she touched up her attempt, and felt a wave of clarity wash over her. That magic always felt good to use, if a bit draining; she knew exactly what her dream was, and it wasn't a product of getting hit too hard on the head. Baldur was in Hel's castle, Eljudnir, and that couldn't be good. The thane's would be wanting to hear this for sure.

It'd been a bit of a trip, these past few months since everything has happened. Superpowers were great and all, but something in him was kind of broken, he was twitchier, not often getting the amount of sleep he needed, and almost paranoid about everything. Between not knowing who was and wasn't a skrull, nor knowing when the next calamity would strike, it wouldn't be inaccurate to say he was almost a different person now. His hair had grown out a bit, but there he was, sitting at the table, fiddling with a cube as Maria Hill kept them waiting. As he was working on solving it, he blinked for a moment, and he switched on his speed, something he was slowly getting better at, finding toying with the cube to be a good way to practice effort and control over his speed.

As he solved, a thought crossed his mind, and he twitched his head, tears forming, as he finished, and the cube nearly fumbled out of his hand. He knew he didn't have much longer at this point. His mom would be dead soon, it couldn't be more than a few days, she had called him last night, before he was about to go to bed. So that shot any potential plans he had about courting Morpheus for the evening, instead, he spent the whole night crying. As he wiped tears from his face, Director Hill walked in, and proceeded to announce that they'd be hunting down Steve Rogers, a plan that sounded like the last thing Shield would do before losing all public support and funding.

"Not to speak out of turn," Oli said, as he proceeded to blatantly speak out of turn, "But even operating on the theory that we can take down the leader of the Avengers in total secrecy without killing him, people are going to notice when Captain America isn't Captain America-ing anymore." He was in a bit of a no fucks given mood right now, and there were a million terrible ways this could go wrong, "And even past that, has he actually done anything yet? Don't we need to wait for him to engage in vigilante justice before we arrest him? I know this isn't my country, but I thought your constitution had some things to say about that form of preventative detention of American citizens." He then tacked on quickly, "Respectfully, of course."

In the time since the wedding, Elizabeth had found a sense of peace. She'd joined in on a DND campaign, taking the role of a bard, something she wasn't initially ready to do, but playing an outspoken, excitable murder musician really helped her work through some of her shit. That, and she'd managed to claim one of the plots of flowers as her own, giving her quite a lot to keep herself occupied with. She had some lovely purple hydrangeas, inter-spaced with light blue lilacs. It felt really good to create something for herself, these plants were her babies, and she loved them to death.

She wasn't too far away from Marygold, and sighed a bit as she was able to have flowers sprout up around her. Elizabeth had been looking into ways to make her gardens better with her transmutation, but she'd had mixed success. Gardening was simple enough, but biochemistry was hard, and something that was still a tad bit beyond her. Calling over to Mary, she said, "You've got the edge on me now, but I swear, my patch will be just as good as any of yours in time!" She called over playfully. She wanted to get closer with her, it'd be nice, she thought, for her to have a gardening friend, and Mary just seemed like a cool person in general.

Location:Upper Deck -> the ground

With the passage of a few hours, Arthur was starting to feel a touch better, which he didn't know if he should be concerned about or not. He was worried about what this place was turning him into, but he felt like he just didn't have much in the way of options. Andy was nice, though, and he was glad that he could be with her through this. In any case, he managed to make it to the upper deck, regardless of the thunderstorm raging. As the situation as explained to him, it was obvious he would be paired with Andy. As she took a few down with no trouble, he nodded, ready to do his half.

Strapping on one of the backpacks, he sucked up the two Andy had managed to drop, and he shot a smile at her saying, "Lemme see if I can take care of one." He said, grabbing for the knife at his side, and having it fly up, and take a stab into one, before it zipped back in for the kill. "There we go!" Arthur shouted gleefully. He wouldn't normally take joy in the death of another creature, but these were unusual times. Sucking up the dead one, he breathed, and held out a hand to high five Andy, pleased with himself for how he'd picked this up. He wished he could have taken down two like her, but he'd settle for this.
