I'd love to see Australia some day! :]

It's really nice, especially tropical north queensland (although I'm a little biased as that's where I live. From The Daintree down to The Whitsundays is beautiful.
Hiding away in one of the offices tucked away at thecompound, Jamie had only just arrived at work. With all the danger the agents had to go through, and on a frequent basis, any spare time was much appreciated. A lazy cook, Jamie started at her breakfast in front of her, a heinous looking microwaveable "Roast chicken and mayo" roll and a badly burnt black coffee. Jamie was a connoiseur of heat and eat food, as both her and her girlfriend were terrible in the kitchen. The paper bagged atrocity sitting in front of her was something she hadn't had the guts to try before, as mayonnaise was something she thought shouldn't be served warm, in her opinion. Still, it was the quickest thing she picked up at the gas station on the way in that morning, as she was running horrendously late. She had meant to pick up a frozen hot dog, probably equally as vile, but in her lack of coffee induced daze, she wasn't on the ball that time of morning.Taking the roll out of its packet, she wrinkled her nose. "Looks like it's just you and me".

Taking a bite, she cringed. The bread was horrendously dry and tough, a state that could only frozen bread heated in the microwave could be. The chicken tasted really bland, nothing like roast chicken at all. The texture was most unlike chicken at all. As she took every bite, weird juices oozed out. The "mayo" did nothing but provide a semi moist element to it, and it tasted quite strange when served piping hot. She was struggling to make a connection between the atrocity in her mouth, and roast chicken. Snapchatting a picture to her girlfriend, she captioned it "I'm gonna regret this later", and sent it, shaking her head. Finishing up, she discarded the wrapper, reminding herself not to ever eat that again. At least she had dinner that night to look forward to. It was funny thinking back, a year ago, that shy girl she met singing in the coffee shop was now her girlfriend, and they lived together. Jamie had always struggled to keep relationships, due to the secrecy of her job, but this one was different.. She didn't question the strange hours. She didn't question the last-minute call outs. In face, she barely asked any questions about Jamie's line of work. Sometimes, she contemplated telling Lily everything, but she knew it wasn't worth losing her job. While they'd been together exactly a year now, there was still a lot she kept hidden. In saying that, Lily was just as bad. Not revealing where she was from, Jamie knew almost nothing about her life before they met. All she did know, was that she was deathly afraid of water, and refused to go out in the rain. It was even at the point that Lily showered only after Jamie had left for work. Well, that's what Jamie assumed, she kept herself very well groomed, so she had to shower sometime, right?
Finishing the culinary atrocity of the chicken roll, Jamie logged on to her work computer, eager to see what the day had in store for her.
"Fuck, shit, fuck!" she cursed to herself, standing up. She'd forgotten she was meant to be in the briefing room. taking her coffee with her, she quickly made her way to the briefing room, where the briefing was already in place.
"Sorry I'm late" she said, quietly as she grimaced, making her way to the back of the room and taking a seat.
Character Name - Jamie Shambrook
Race - Human
Nationality - American
Gender - Female
Age - 30
Appearance -

Height - 5'7'
Weight - 130lbs
Clothing - Usually a jeans-and-tank top type of girl, Jamie on the odd occasion will begrudgingly don a dress. At work, you'll most likely see her in a black two piece suit with white blouse and black court shoes. For someone who doesn't dress girly a lot, she can run in heels surprisingly well.
Weapons - Standard issue Glock
Speciality - Forensic science
Skills - Fitness, a scientific mind and firearms
Flaws - Jamie can be a tad inappropriate, and more often than not will speak before she thinks. Because of this, she may come across as insensitive at times. If anything's bothering her, she tends to bottle it up, until her inner bottle overflows and she explodes.
Fears - Growing old and lonely, being judged by her sexuality
Personality - Growing up with an older brother, Jamie has always been treated like one of the boys, and as a result can be quite loud and loutish. She thrives on banter, however people who aren't familiar with her personality can sometimes take insult to comments she meant purely in jest. The last thing she means is to offend someone, but it doesn't always pan out that way. Fiercely loyal, Jamie always has her team's back and is the first to step in if someone was being treated unfairly. This stems from being bullied at school for being a ginger. Jamie is currently in a relationship, with Lily, a shy girl she loves dearly. In order not to scare the timid girl, Jamie hides her line of work from her girlfriend, not wanting her to be afraid of the entities she comes across on a frequent basis. Jamie is content with her girlfriend assuming she is an undercover cop. Unbeknownst to Jamie, her girlfriend is harbouring a secret of her own. One of the very beings the Regiment knows of their existance, Lily is a mermaid.
Backstory - After graduating from high school, Jamie studied Forensic Science at Pennsylvania State University, and after graduating joined the Charleston Police. Jamie's father was the Police Chief. A doting father, Jamie was the apple of his eye. He was killed on duty when Jamie was 10, in a drug bust gone horribly wrong. She vowed to become a policewoman just like her daddy when she grew up, and followed through. Even though she did it for her father, Jamie know it was the right decision. After studying Forensic Science at Penn State, she quickly joined the police in her old hometown of Charleston, working alongside the men who snuck her doughnuts as a little girl. Once there, she soon established herself as a strong member of the force. Her kind demeanour made it easy for her to obtain information she needed, yet she didn't take any crap from those who didn't deserve to give it to her. Her undercover skills were a standout, with Jamie's ability to push personal opinion aside to play the role she needed to in order to make the arrest. A relatively new recruit to the Regiment, Jamie was at first unsure of joining, it was soon made apparent the correct decision was made after she and a colleague went undercover, posing as a married couple to investigate a monster terrorising a gated community. In her opinion, she thought she did well in successfully posing as a straight married woman, while in reality she's a lesbian.
Thank you. Oh, and my timezone is Australia.
