Ruri stopped just behind Lupa, she could see the compound. Then Lupa gave her an inquiring nod. Ruri knew what she wanted to do. She was not sure if she was ready too. It is true that she had her wolf side under control. It was not like she disliked her primal side it was all the things she had done and remembered doing before she got in under control. No matter how hard she tried to put it behind her, the children screams still echo threw her head. But even still she does transform everyone once in a while. She already knew from the moment she met Lupa that all that would change. That she would not be the same person she was, and even now being next to her she can feel her inner wolf wanting to come out and just play with Lupa. Being around humans for so long kept all that in check, but now she wanted to let loose and run. Ruri looked and Lupa and nodded to her, She walked with Lupa a bit till she got to a spot where she had turned back to her human form.

She didn't expect to be turning she took off her clothes and tied them in a neat carrying pouch so she could change back once their short run was over. She looked at Dranger and he was getting excited. He always loved her wolf form, not as a mate that would be sick but as a son loving a mother. Now Standing there waiting for Lupa to get undressed as well she took a few deep breaths. "Lupa," Ruri called out to her. "You don't have to be alone again, I shall accompany you where ever you venture too. Its not every day you meet one of our kind and not try to kill them cause of land rights. Lets hope this can be to new beginnings for us."

Ruri took a few steps back and took a deep breath, it was time to change. Her body started to grow white fur all over as she got down on hands and knees. Her lower back and her hands and legs started to change to be more canine. The iris in her eyes turned white with black pupils. Her nose started to grow and the ears on the side of her head turned more dog like and shifted up toward the top of her head. Once the transformation was over she was the size or a normal size wolf, she hope this is the form Lupe wanted to take while they made their way to the compound. while in wolf farm she grabbed her neatly packed clothes with her teeth and waited for Lupa, once they were ready she would run with her.

After Carson answered Mikael's questions, Mikael just sat in the passenger seat and stared out the window, contemplating everything. By the time they pulled up to the check point, Mikael still wasn't one hundred percent sure he could trust the wolves. 'Only time would tell', he thought as he gave an inward shrug. The man at the checkpoint seemed to indicate that Mikael looked the part, but he was much too busy staring out the window to notice. Only when Carson killed the engine did Mikael snap out of his trance.

Looking up after being in such a deep trance, Mikael nodded and said, "I think I'll be hanging around here as well. I have time to scope everything out after I know exactly what's going on."

Right as Mikael finished talking, David pulled up on his bike. Even though the road they took was gravel, the bike looked pristine. There wasn't a scratch or a spot on it. It was beautiful. Suddenly, Mikael realized David was offering him a cig. While Mikael had smoked on and off, he never really like the things, but, against his better judgement, reached out and grabbed one. He flipped it in his hand, waiting for David to light the cig, and once David lit it, Mikael moved his hand towards his mouth. After a long inhale and subsequent exhale of smoke through his nose, Mikael nodded and said, "Thanks. I normally don't smoke, but after the past few days, and what I'm sure will be coming soon, I needed this."

After Mikael finished talking, he went back to taking deep drags from the cigarette, analyzing David. He had never met a vampire and didn't know what to think of them. From what he knew, vampires didn't like werewolves and vice versa. That meant, at least to Mikael, the two had a common enemy, and as the saying goes 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend.'

Mikael was almost done with his smoke when he pulled it out of his mouth, flicking the ashes onto the gravel below, when he nodded toward David and said, "Carson told me you have an interesting story. Care to share?"

David and Mikael stood and smoked in relative silence after the human had commented on his off hand smoking. It wasn't really an awkward silence but neither was it two friends sharing a moment. The Vampire attributed it to two soldiers in respectful contemplation. Mikael had the look of a fighter. David simply nodded at this. He took one last drag, exhaling and dropping the cigarette butt to the ground and stepping on it with a heavy black boot. Mikael was almost done with his as well, he notched as he put his hands in his jean pockets.

"Carson told me you have an interesting story. Care to share?" The human said, breaking the silence. David looked at him with his pale blue eyes, the eyes of a Vampire.

"I guess you could say that i do. To make a long story short, I was a Marine during World War one, World War two, and up until a few days ago. Different names for each war as you can imagine. Sorry if i leave out a lot of detail, wars like that aint really something you like to think about all too often. The first war is when i became a Vampire. Damn Nazi" He said as he crossed his arms and looked in the direction of the gate with a chuckle. "Ask me again sometime and maybe I'll go into more detail about it." David looked back at him. "What about you? How'd you get mixed up in all this supernatural bullshit?" As he spoke, he reached into his backpack and removed a blood bag with a straw attached. He broke the seal on the straw and drank as if he was drinking a yoo-hoo. "Hope you don't mind.. "

Trixy walked towards the entrance to the compound, her footfalls so light that they barely shifted the gravel beneath her feet. A warm breeze brushed strands of raven-colored hair across her face. I could get used to this California weather she thought to herself with a smile. A slight twist in her stomach reminded her that this new Regiment vampire diet was not something she cared to get used to.

Pushing her thoughts aside, Béatrix stepped through the entrance, remembering that Carson told her to meet the other newbies in the main building at this precise hour. It appeared that her thoughts seemed to manifest him, as she looked up to see Carson just outside the main building. “Hey there, handsome” she said with a foxy smile “did I come to the right place?” she asked, although she figured that with 630 years on this Earth, it might be safe to assume that she didn’t need to read the newbie map to find the way. In her chosen profession, knowing your surroundings intuitively meant the difference between life and death, and you surely didn’t come to see this many centuries with your nose shoved into a piece of paper.

Carson was about to pull another cigarette out of his coat pocket when he noticed someone approaching him, it was another recruit, the female vampire the boss had told him about who had for whatever reason hadn't joined the rest of the new recruits on him back in Eureka. She had the boss' approval so it didn't matter much to Carson. He was out vetoed by big Vic. He stood up straight and looked her over as she spoke to him with a flirty smile. She looked no older than 18, but then again, female vampires always were perfect to look at, it was just the fangs and bloodsucking tendencies that were the issue. He didn't think that'd be an problem with this one, she was on their side.

"You're correct, ma'am. Beatrix, I presume? The boss informed me about you, it's nice to finally meet you, heard alot about you." Carson replied with a smile, extending a handshake in greeting. It was always useful to have another vampire around, an added bonus that this one was over 600 years old and quite powerful as well.

Carson’s English accent shocked her a bit “Trixy might roll off of your Anglo tongue a little bit better.” she said as she accepted his friendly handshake in greeting, but her eyes judged him. Her own French accent came off thick, but not in the lame modern style, it was Old French. A brief chuckle escaped her lips “Forgive me, Englishman. I can hardly hold you responsible for the Hundred Years’ War… they still teach you about that in school, right?” she asked with a smile toying on her lips. “Well, would you look at the time, I do believe I am supposed to meet my new comrades now. It was good to put a face to the name, Englishman.” She said as she saluted him in the American way, storing away the nugget that she would probably never address him as Carson again.

Béatrix looked up at the sky and shook her head with a slight smile “Can you believe I’m working for the English, Francis? Father would kill me if he ever saw it.” She whispered as she pushed open the door to the Main Building, excited to meet new partners to work with. After working alone for so long, you kind of long to have someone there to watch your back… especially when your list of enemies more than dwarfed your list of friends, as Trixy’s does.

Mikael nodded as David spoke of his time in the wars. He knew how it was seeing gruesome scenes, and almost couldn't imagine seeing those scenes every day. Sure, Mikael had seen his only family brutally murdered, twice, but every new war would bring new friends for David, and new friends would bring new mourning. Mikael was almost still in a trance when David pulled a bag of blood out of his bag and began to drink it.

Mikael kept his cool, dropping his cigarette and crushing it under a boot rather than shaking his head to snap out of the trance. "No, I don't mind at all. I'd rather it be that than mine," Mikael said, only half joking. While David seemed trustworthy, Mikael didn't just hand trust out like candy. He was deep in thought when he realized he hadn't answered David's question. He straightened up, standing next to the outer wall of the compound rather than leaning against it, and said, "My dad had always been intrigued by the supernatural. He taught me everything I know, so I guess you could say I've always been tangled up in the supernatural. The Regiment has been watching me for years, and they recently caught a break. I got into some BS legal trouble, and they sprung at the opportunity. Basically, I'm here on a favor."

Due to his barebones story, Mikael knew David would probably know there was way more to the story than Mikael cared to share, but he wasn't about to give away his past to someone he had just met. Either way, his story would have been cut short by a young-looking female approaching Carson then bursting into the main building. Mikael nodded in David's direction and said, "Wanna follow her? She seems to know where she's going." Mikael then started walking towards the door, although he would hesitate if David asked any more questions.

David laughed at the comment that Mikael would rather have him drink the bag than his own blood. It'd been years since he last fed on a human. David reckoned that it could've even been decades. At any rate he couldn't remember and it mattered little. As long as there were blood banks the Vampire would never have to feed on a human again and he was glad of it. "Ah, so it was a family thing eh? Gotcha." David replied with some understanding. As Mikael probably imagined, David picked up on the lack of detail and out of respect asked no further questions. They both had their stories it seemed. "Maybe some other time we can swap stories again over a beer and some smokes eh?" he asked as he pat Mikael on the shoulder. They both noticed the female, evidently, as Mikael was also turned in that direction.

The girl exchanged some words with Carson. Boy, she was a looker alright. Real easy on the eyes. The eyes.. she was a Vampire like himself. David scratched his chin and nodded at Mikael. "Yea, she sure does. She's a Vampire too." he pointed with two fingers at his own eyes. "You can tell by the eyes, for future reference." Mikael was the first to step off and David followed close behind.

Regiment Compound
Somewhere in California
Lupa smiles at the blonde werewolf's reassuring words, but it was a gentle smile. That's right, she thinks to herself. I'm not alone anymore. So, after quickly shedding her clothing onto the ground, she transforms.

Compared to Ruri's transformation, Lupa's was on a completely different level. For Ruri, there had been a visible process to changing forms, much like she was actually physically forcing her body to change to that of a wolf. But Lupa was different. For her, the change was effortless, seamless even. She was not turning into a wolf...she was always a wolf, she was just finally letting it run free. Black fur explodes from her body instantaneously, covering every inch of her skin in a thick, glossy coat. She towers over Ruri and Dranger, fierce claws glistening in the afternoon sunlight. It wasn't her physical transformation that was most imposing, however. Her aura of power, which had already seemed so potent even in her human form, was now nearly overwhelming. This was the presence of an Alpha Werewolf, one who had survived and won more battles than you could count.

"It's good to be back in my old form."

When Lupa speaks, it's in a low, powerful voice, with a playful look in her eyes as she glances back at Lupa. She takes a brief moment to pick up a strap from her clothing, tying the rest of her clothes to that and wrapping it around her shoulder. Then, without voicing her intent, Lupa runs, and Ruri would certainly follow. The world was alight with scents, sights and sounds, particularly those of the younger werewolf accompanying Lupa. Together, they ran through the wilderness without a care, chasing one another almost playfully through the wilderness. Lupa was clearly the faster of the two, but she had no interest in running ahead. For a while, Lupa was happy.

Soon, they would inevitably reach the compound. Perhaps they took longer than they should, but such an opportunity to play didn't come often to Lupa. Reluctantly, she transforms back into her human form just outside of the compound, entering through the front gate after a momentary problem of forgetting to dress. She walks towards where she knew the others were, having smelled them from quite a distance. So, when she approached the Main Building and greeted Carson, she couldn't help but shoot an expression of distaste towards the entrance-

"I have arrived, Carson. No human saw us transform, unless you count the guard at the gate. Shall I follow the bloodsucker inside?"

Carson nodded and smiled at Beatrix then she entered the main building. Soon enough David and Mikeal came shortly after the vampire did, only ones missing now were the two female werewolves. He glanced down at his watch, then right as he looked up from it he noticed Lupa and Ruri passing through the front gate, coming towards his position.

"Yes, follow me in, the boss is waiting." Carson said in reply to Lupa, then pushed open the door, stepping into the entrance building where the three other recruits were waiting. He saw the secretary, Joan in her usual position behind her desk. That women had to be getting up there in age, she was at least as old as Victor was, but hell, she still did great work.

"Welcome back, Carson. Victor is waiting for you in the briefing room." The woman stated from her seated position, not lifting her eyes from the papers she was going through on her desk. Carson motioned with his hand, ordering the five rookies to follow him. The two guards by the main door nodded at the veteran as he passed by them, the door automatically coming open. The next room was quite large, many people walked around it, going into the smaller rooms which sat inside of it.

"This is the first floor, the boss' room is directly to your right, he always has the door open for any visitors, well except after dinner. There should be a facility layout around here somewhere, it'll tell you the rest, but for now, you guy's have to be introduced to Mr. Davies. He'll answer any questions, any at all that you may have, then he'll give us our first mission." Carson said, pausing to speak to the recruits before strolling into a the briefing room, followed by the others.

The room is large, the lights dimmed to just the right brightness. A rectangular table sits in the middle, chairs set up around it. A very large computer monitor sits on one of the walls. A man stands in front of it, his arms crossed. He is in dressed in a grey suit and tie, his eyes watching everyone enter the room.

"See you made it back, thought you got lost." The man says, a slight grin appearing on his face.

"Come on, Vic. I'm not greenhorn, I could walk back here blindfolded if I needed to. Not that I want to try that." Carson replied with a smile, walking towards Victor. The two men met with a handshake, then stood side by side facing the table.

"You can all may take a seat, anywhere," Victor said as the recruits did as they were told. Once they were all seated he spoke again. "Where to start, hm. Well, welcome to the Regiment, or as the governments classify us as, the P.I.B., but no one around here actually calls it that. Makes us sound too much like those FBI guys."

"I told them you would answer any questions of their's." Carson interjected.

"Yes, I'd be happy to answer anything you might needed answered. Might as well get that cleared out of the way before we go into mission briefing." Victor replied, then glanced at the recruits, ready to alleviate their concerns, a friendly expression on his bearded face.

Ruri watched as Lupa transformed, it seemed so smooth for her. Her Aura was a little over overwhelming but she stood her ground, Dranger on the other hand bowed with his tail between his legs submitting to her. Just as Lupa took off running she followed, darting between the trees and jumping over bushes. This was a feeling she missed, she didn’t nearly do it often enough, maybe she would break Ruri out of her shell when it comes to her wolf form. As the two ran together she was keeping up easily but she was sure Lupa was not going her full speed. As the two ran Ruri played with her, Jumping over her and back again and slightly nudging her playfully of course.

Once the compound came into view Ruri was relived and disappointed at the same time. She was having mixed feelings. Now that she met Lupa and even though she was picked to be a part of this team; she really wanted to just play and run with her some more. She was sure she would have many opportunities to do so soon. She transformed back to her human form which was a lot smoother then the human to wolf she also dressed with her and followed her in. Ruri didn’t have any love for vampires but it seemed like Lupa really didn’t like them. She followed everyone inside. She told Dranger to go wait in the water pool or go into the wood and that she would summon him when she needed him. He looked at her then to Lupa’s back and ran off disappearing into the woods.

Once inside she heard a woman voice, she spoke to Carson for a moment who then asked the group to follow him into a much larger room with many different scents. It really cause her to take a step back cause so many scents at once got her really excited it. Once she collected herself she noticed that people around here really respected Carson a lot. Listening to his explanation of this place and who they would be answering to she looked to Lupa, would she really comply answering to a human? She seemed to have been in the wild a long time and the way she transformed back to human was almost like she didn’t want too.

‘Alpha taking orders from a human male?’ Ruri chuckled at the thought and continued on. Inside the room A man stands with his arms folded looking at Carson as he entered. After a few friendly words he motions them to take a seat anyway. Ruri would wait to see where Lupe would sit then sit next to her farther away from Victor so Lupe was closer. As if she was following Lupe, as she sat there she could not truly think of anything to ask him. But she was always that way. It would pop In later most likely so she would wait to see if anyone would ask something that she might have thought about asking.

Béatrix walked into the Main Building with grace and confidence. Carson and the other recruits followed her in. Trixy froze for the briefest of moments and the muscles in her arms and legs curled around her bones in response to the offensive odor. They cannot expect me to work with dogs… she thought sourly. All the while, her face wore the mask of a perfect actress: calm, collected and even a little bit friendly.

A pair of crystal blue eyes met her own, and she smiled warmly. A brother she thought as her eyes sized him up. The vampire male seemed much younger than her, but was strong and sturdy, and definitely the military type. Next, her eyes met with those of a long-haired human male. Trixy’s heart twisted in her chest, remembering Francis’ own long locks.

With a soft smile, Trixy turned to walk into the room where Victor and the conference table were. Trixy chose a seat far from the wolves and closer to Victor and the Englishman. She sent the quickest of winks in the Englishman’s direction, leaving it up to his interpretation on whether it was friendly, flirty, or mocking.

Victor was definitely human, Béatrix could tell be his scent, and he appeared to be more aged than Carson. Trixy studied the expression on Victor’s face in hopes of gaining insight on her new leader, but he was also good at wearing a mask. Trixy assumed he was also a military guy and that he had seen a lot, perhaps fallen comrades on the battlefield.

Trixy sat back in the chair and felt its shape press into her back gently, she was thinking of questions to ask, as it appeared that no one else was chiming in. Béatrix decided to ask the obvious, as race-related tension was thick in the air “Are partners assigned to us, or is this an every-man-for-himself kind of organization?” she asked Victor in a honey sweet voice.

"Well, you all have combat experience, so you will all be under Carson's wing as a strike team lead by him during missions where combat is unavoidable. The Regiment is big on working together, though investigations is the one sector that had members that work alone out in the field. I could get you in with them, they could use an experienced vampire such as yourself, well when Carson doesn't need you for missions." Victor replied to Beatrix, scratching his chin. Carson flashed a smile at the female vampire right after.

As their eyes met, David instinctively knew that she was much older than he. She smiled warmly at him and he felt it was a genuine sign that she was pleased to have another Vampire around. Just as well. There was a certain feeling of animosity that the wolf girls gave him and it made the Vampiric soldier uneasy to say the least. Judging by the warm smile, this girl was someone he could trust and trust was the foundation of any successful team. David couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy for Mikael. The man was the only human among them besides Carson himself.

David entered the room and took a seat relatively in the middle. He wanted to remain neutral and be more of a moderator if this turned out to be a game of loyalties instead of the close knit special team that was intended.

“Are partners assigned to us, or is this an every-man-for-himself kind of organization?” asked the female Vampire. Victor, he noticed, was human and appeared very weathered. A man of vast experience and knowledge. David was willing to bed that he'd seen his fair share of combat. The reply was what the Vampire had expected, more or less. They were a tight knit organization and they valued team work. This might be difficult considering the clear racial barrier within the team.

He leaned forward on his elbows and directed his gaze to Victor. "So, my question is this. You guys know about my background, yea? so you know i work well in a unit and i have no issues with teamwork. But why are we grouped with some individuals that i believe would rather see me steaked than watch my back?" of course he was referring to the werewolves.

"Well, David, all of you have been recruited because you possess exceptional skills in various fields. You also have been put through psychological tests which factor into your joining of the agency. We would not recruit you all if we believed you could not work together. It also gives us more of an advantage against the foes we will encounter if we mix our people together. A strike team composed of humans, vampires and werewolves is much more effective than one with all humans or all vampires," Victor replied, then glanced at Carson. "That's why Carson is the leader of the squad you will all be assigned to. He has the necessary skills and experience for the position."

Ruri sat there and listen to the two vampires voiced their opinion about their thoughts. Their main concern seemed to be working with Herself and Lupa. Ruri raised her and, "If I may now speak. After hearing David and Béatrix concerns about working with Lupa and myself I fundamentally have no problems working with you two. As i have no problem with your kind. In my years living in this country I have never had a problem until i made my way here. I could have killed the man but didn't." Ruri looked around the room, "As Carson and Victor said we are all here to do a job and working together is key to completing our mission what ever they might be. I will agree that there is a barrier here between the two races and I am sure something happened in the past that made or two races want to kill each other on sight. But the one thing we must all remember that the ones who did you wrong is the past, is dead by your hands. Cause looking at all of you I can tell none of you let them get away."

Ruri put her elbows on the table, folding her hands together and leaning forward and resting her chin on them. "My only concern is not of working with everyone cause I have a level of respect for all, but is for my companion Dranger, can we set up a cottage in the woods so I can be with him or can he live on base. Carson said it would be discussed once we got here and now we are here. I have no problems living in the wild." Ruri silver eyes locked on to Victor waiting for an answer.

Béatrix nodded in understanding of Victor’s response. “Investigations sounds like a good fit for me, I have worked alone for a long, long time, as you know.” She said simply, and looked around the table at the others. Perhaps I should have been a little bit more friendly with the Englishman… she thought, noticing the way he flashed a questionable smile at her. Trixy had a feeling he would find any reason he could to use her in missions, and to group her up with the wolves.

Béatrix wasn’t a prisoner for the Regiment, they simply wanted her to join them, and she took them up on the offer. If Trixy preferred to work with the other vampire or human recruits, they would have to let her, or she would simply walk away from the entire operation. Either way, Trixy worked hard to conceal her discontent and hoped for the best, knowing her smile could get her a long way in a place like this.

When Trixy did smile, she noticed the dull pulsing in her gums that indicated when her fangs were threatening to descend. Trixy hadn’t fed yet today, which wasn’t good, given her insatiable hunger for blood – even more so than most vampires. She’d heard that the Regiment frowned upon vampires’ natural feeding tendencies and wondered what they planned to sustain her on instead.

Finally the others started to speak up, the male vampire first and then the more civilized looking wolf girl. Trixy heard them both out with a stone face, not letting any emotion show through, as always. The shewolf seemed to be one of those peace-loving hippies, as if a new generation of thought could sever the age-old feud between their races. Béatrix almost wanted to laugh at the absurdity and ignorance of it all, how could she speak as if she knows our pasts? “I can’t actually be sure if I have taken down the wolf that ripped my love from me, I never saw their sorry face… so the only way to be sure is if I kill them all.” Trixy said with a sly smile, hoping she struck a nerve. “At least the ones who are old enough to have done the deed.” She tacked on, figuring the wolf she was speaking to probably didn’t fit into that category.

First Briefing
Regiment Compound, California
Lupa, who had been quiet up until this point, seems to have grown tired of listening to the female vampire speak. She rises from her seat with an air of command about her, and when her voice comes out, it's tinged with a noticeable bit of irritation-

"It is out of respect for the human Victor's skills that I have not already torn your head from your body, Vampire. I have no liking for your kind, and I would shed no tears for the loss of your undeath. But for the sake of the Hunt, I have agreed to spare you and your brother. We are not here to like eachother. I am here to kill Vampires, you are here to kill Werewolves, and we are improving our fighting ability by working together. If it means killing you to maintain the strength of the pack, I will not hesitate. Do not tempt me."

With one last, quick glance in the direction of the other Vampire, Lupa redirects her gaze to the senior Regiment members-

"As for questions, I ask for confirmation about what we discussed before. I am joining you, but I bow to no man, not even of my own kind. I respect your leadership and strength, Victor, so I will not undermine your authority now that I have joined your pack. I will cooperate with and follow the man Carson, but if he proves his weakness of mind or becomes ensnared by some she-witch...I will not hesitate to take command."

With this final, ominous statement, Lupa settles back into her chair. She was completely calmed down now, and watching the humans in the hall carefully, as if measuring their reaction. Particularly, she was searching for fear in Carson's body language, probing for signs of weakness before she would inevitably be following him into battle.

Hiding away in one of the offices tucked away at thecompound, Jamie had only just arrived at work. With all the danger the agents had to go through, and on a frequent basis, any spare time was much appreciated. A lazy cook, Jamie started at her breakfast in front of her, a heinous looking microwaveable "Roast chicken and mayo" roll and a badly burnt black coffee. Jamie was a connoiseur of heat and eat food, as both her and her girlfriend were terrible in the kitchen. The paper bagged atrocity sitting in front of her was something she hadn't had the guts to try before, as mayonnaise was something she thought shouldn't be served warm, in her opinion. Still, it was the quickest thing she picked up at the gas station on the way in that morning, as she was running horrendously late. She had meant to pick up a frozen hot dog, probably equally as vile, but in her lack of coffee induced daze, she wasn't on the ball that time of morning.Taking the roll out of its packet, she wrinkled her nose. "Looks like it's just you and me".

Taking a bite, she cringed. The bread was horrendously dry and tough, a state that could only frozen bread heated in the microwave could be. The chicken tasted really bland, nothing like roast chicken at all. The texture was most unlike chicken at all. As she took every bite, weird juices oozed out. The "mayo" did nothing but provide a semi moist element to it, and it tasted quite strange when served piping hot. She was struggling to make a connection between the atrocity in her mouth, and roast chicken. Snapchatting a picture to her girlfriend, she captioned it "I'm gonna regret this later", and sent it, shaking her head. Finishing up, she discarded the wrapper, reminding herself not to ever eat that again. At least she had dinner that night to look forward to. It was funny thinking back, a year ago, that shy girl she met singing in the coffee shop was now her girlfriend, and they lived together. Jamie had always struggled to keep relationships, due to the secrecy of her job, but this one was different.. She didn't question the strange hours. She didn't question the last-minute call outs. In face, she barely asked any questions about Jamie's line of work. Sometimes, she contemplated telling Lily everything, but she knew it wasn't worth losing her job. While they'd been together exactly a year now, there was still a lot she kept hidden. In saying that, Lily was just as bad. Not revealing where she was from, Jamie knew almost nothing about her life before they met. All she did know, was that she was deathly afraid of water, and refused to go out in the rain. It was even at the point that Lily showered only after Jamie had left for work. Well, that's what Jamie assumed, she kept herself very well groomed, so she had to shower sometime, right?
Finishing the culinary atrocity of the chicken roll, Jamie logged on to her work computer, eager to see what the day had in store for her.
"Fuck, shit, fuck!" she cursed to herself, standing up. She'd forgotten she was meant to be in the briefing room. taking her coffee with her, she quickly made her way to the briefing room, where the briefing was already in place.
"Sorry I'm late" she said, quietly as she grimaced, making her way to the back of the room and taking a seat.

Béatrix’ eyes widened in surprise at the outburst, mentally taking note of it. The wolf bitch seemed to think she had some kind of authority here, indicating that she was probably old and alpha material. Maybe even old enough to be the one… Trixy thought with a snarl hidden behind her calm eyes.

The shewolf also had little control over her emotions, and was obviously more animalistic than anything else. Tisk, tisk… not a good trait to have in battle, Trixy thought idly. Yet another screamingly obvious fact that arose from all this was that Lupa had a deep hatred for the undead. The humans would be the ones to think this kind of a mixed operation was possible… but this was a racism deeper than any they had ever known. Hell, it is etched deep in our very biology; couldn’t those human scientists have figured that out?

Trixy relaxed against her chair and put her hands in the pockets of her fitted leather jacket, the perfect picture of calm. Eerily calm. “You speak as if you know me, wolf, but you do not. I am not here to kill only your kind. I will kill undead as well, I will slay any crooked supernatural pathetic enough to wrongly use their blessings. Oh yes, you heard me right, I do believe that we undead have been blessed with the greatest gift.” She said with a serene and almost pleased smile.

Béatrix truly did believe that the gift of vampirism that Francis bestowed upon her was an absolute blessing. Becoming a vampire was the moment that Trixy chose to take hold of her life, to relinquish human thought, feeling, weakness… and sickness. Any creature who received such a wonderful gift, and chose to misuse it, was as good as dead in Trixy’s eyes. It was as if those creatures were the very ones that tore out her beloved Francis’ heart.
