El Reino Catholico de Mexico

"They have no right to act this way!" Isabella shouted as she was informed of the siege of Bogota and the occupation of Colombia Province by the Mexican People's Alliance. Bogota had been utterly destroyed by the new rebel group, who using their former government positions and continued influence over the Mexican populus, were able to access several armories in the Colombia Province and become capable of military action against the legitimate Mexican Government. The problem did not end there, however, as Colombia Province was one of the most industrialized areas of the nation, second only to Mexico Province. With this region now under the control of the fascists, it was obvious they had access to all of the arms, aircraft, and ship manufactories that they could hope for.
"What are our options?" Fernando asked the newly appointed Minister of Defense, Alphonse de Leon.
"Well, your highness, the most obvious answer is to begin air raids on all factories currently under the control of the Mexican People's Alliance. This will certainly cripple their production abilites, but this also leads into a secondary problem. The region that they have occupied is right next to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who have very openly denounced the monarchy, and will likely be willing to supply the rebels with whatever they need, owing to historically ambivalent relations between the Third Empire and a likeliness to chose the lesser evil. It is in this regard that we need the international community's help. I believe that if we threaten Venezuela with sanctions should they harbor or aid the rebels in any way, that it will discourage them from such behavior. But simply us issuing an embargo should that happen will not be enough. We need as many nations to take part of that embargo as well."
Isabella nodded in agreement. "I will propose such an activity in my next international address. We cannot allow Venezuela to aid them." The queen thought for a moment. "What is the situation of our foreign embassies in Bogota?"
"The staff of our Bogotan embassies from the South Asia, and True Asia have been taken hostage by the rebels. They say it is vengeance for these nations involvement in ruining their crusade. It is also confirmed that the staff of the British, Soviet and Ethiopian embassies have been killed."
Isabella smiled a bit, not out of any schadenfreude for the nations affected, but in the horrific blunder on the part of the Mexican People's Alliance in attacking international embassies. "I always knew Simon was the real brains behind the party; Abarca is a goddamned idiot, he knows nothing of foreign relations."
"My Queen," de Leon continued. "Colombia is not the only issue here. Sentries in Managua Province have spotted a MPA army 30,000 strong advancing from occupied San Jose towards Managua itself.
Fernando cursed as he heard this. "Managua cannot take such a force."
"We don't have time to move troops from Honduras into Managua" Isabella said, "There is no way we can keep Managua,"
De Leon moved his gaze from the monarchs towards the ground. "I will tell them...to simply defend as best they can. But if all else fails, they must retreat back to Honduras Province."
Queen Isabella's Address to the World
Greetings and blessings of the Lord be upon you. I, Queen Isabella I, would like to make a formal announcement to all the nations of the world. Myself and my husband, King Fernando I, have become entangled in a bitter conflict plaguing our nation; beset upon us by a vile remnant of our past. Two days ago, the former political party of my predecessor and myself, the Mexican People's Alliance, sprung up in a violent attack on the city of Bogota. In their unjustified secession of the Colombia Province, they have left thousands dead, and have attacked the embassies of the United South Asian Empire, The United Free Peoples of True Asia, The United Kingdom of Great Britain, The Soviet Empire of Greater Russia, and The Second Ethiopian Empire, holding the Former Hostage and murdering the staff of the latter three.
In this time of turmoil, I urge the international community to help us, the new Monarchs of Mexico, to end this menace. These men are the same who orchestrated the attacks on the Caliphate of Istanbul and almost plunged the world into a fourth world war. While I have repented of my involvement in the Mexican People's Alliance, men like Nicolas Abarca have not, and only show further that they are not to be trusted or given any second chances. Don Salazar would be disgusted by the attacks on the Mexican people by those who claim to be their legitimate rulers, for this, this is not the party he created. Abarca has made Salazar's dream into nightmare. For this reason, the Catholic Kingdom of Mexico has formally designated the Mexican People's Alliance as a terrorist organization, promoting the radical ideology of Fascism and for orchestrating violent attacks agianst its own people and on sovereign embassies. I urge all nations to follow in my direction, and condemn these men and their actions. Fascism cannot arise ever again in Mexico, for it has brought us all nothing but misery and suffering. I also urge the nations of the world to help prevent aid to the MPA by supporting us with this message to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Venezuela has been well known for its decent relations with the Mexican Empire, and its outright hatred of the Monarchy. Therefore, it is possible that the Venezuelans could try to aid the rebels in Colombia. We would personally like to discourage this by informing them that if any armaments are found to be provided to the rebels by Venezuela, or if the Venezuelan Government is found to provide safe haven for Fascist Rebels, that a trade embargo will be placed upon the nation. This goes the same for any nation that will aid the Mexican People's Alliance.
That is all that I have to say for now. I thank all of you for listening, and may God be with you.
La Alianza de los Pueblos Mexicanos

Bogota, Colombia Province
"Hail, Emperor Abarca" the advisor to the self proclaimed emperor said, saluting him and beginning the debriefing on the situation in Managua. "The city was taken with little effort, the Monarchist forces retreating back to Tegucigalpa in the Honduras Province. Once we have pacified Managua we can begin moving north towards Tegucigalpa."
Nicolas Abarca nodded slowly and sagely to the news given to him. "Begin the pacification of Managua immediatly. I want all supporters of our cause evacuated. Once you have identified them, your troops will decimate the population as usual, and secure all weapons within a 10 mile radius of the city."
Once the advisor had left, Abarca thought about just how he could truly secure a victory over the Monarchy. "No doubt Isabella is off with her silver tongue trying to attract the big nations to her cause." Abarca decided that if he was to win, allies would no doubt be required.
30 Miles from Tegucigalpa
The MPA Army had been marching for some time now. The force was smaller, reduced to about 20,000 now that they were in need of pacifying Managua. The commander thought that an attack quickly after the taking of Managua was brilliant, and that the Monarchist Forces would never expect it.
By the time that the force had reached 20 miles to Tegucigalpa, all hell broke loose.
The general in charge of Managua Province's military had foreseen the action, and ordered his men to wait for the MPA troops in the brush, and ambush when they arrived. The attack was quick and bloody, with 9,000 of the MPA lost and only 500 of the 2,000 strong Managua defenders lost. With this, the attack on Honduras would have to wait. And the city was safe, for now. But who could know how long it would be before the Fascists attacked once again.
