I woke up on a sparse bed in a dull grey room. I couldn't help but laugh, this was some rich shit. One of his friends went through a helluva lot of trouble to pull this off. After about an hour of thinking about revenge, it began to sink in. None of my friends were assholish enough to leave me locked up in a room for hours on end. I stood and began pacing. I started to panic, hot tears running down my cheeks. I wiped my eyes and stood, was that...tapping? I walked over to the wall I thought the sound was coming from.
"Is anyone there?" I shouted.

Time spent with the Insurgence: Oliver was born to Insurgent parents, so he's been with them all his life. He has only been fighting with them for a year or two.
History with the Regiment: Oliver knows of the Regiment's brutality, his parents told him stories, but has never seen it firsthand.
Skills you brought to the Insurgence: Oliver is a great mediator and has a calming effect on anyone near him. He knows how to cheer up a hopeless situation with his humor and reassuring words. He's an expert healer due to his magical abilities and adept at stealth for the same reason. He's perfectly decent with his guns, but melee combat and/or tasks demanding physical strength aren't his thing.

Your Story: Oliver was born to a human mother and elven father in the South. His parents constantly moved around due to their duties with the Insurgence. Oliver grew up in hastily erected hospital camps outside of the battlefields. His natural healing ability made him a great asset to these camps. What he learned, he learned from war stories and books pilfered from soldiers and doctors. Oliver was never around people his own age for most of his childhood.
At age 17, Oliver left "home" to travel around as a healer. He did this for several years. When he was 22, he received a letter notifying him of the death of his parents. He decided then and there to join the Insurgence. He trained for about half a year, deploying to the front lines a day after his 23rd birthday.
Significant Others: The only people Oliver ever really knew well were his parents. His parents being soldiers meant they were constantly moving around leaving little time for friends. His parents were killed during a mission by the Regiment. He desperately wants to make friends
