Induction phase
Subject: My Spartan Group
Dr. (REDACTED), I was made aware that you asked for a report on my Spartan group. Most of them are acting exactly as expected, lots of crying. I have noticed that two of them, Amir and Thomas have already begun to converse. They dealt with the shock through companionship. I just hope to God they know they can't rely on that.
Early testing
Subject: Testing Report
Early testing has eliminated six of the original thirty-two. Most of them were are at about the level we expected. Amir proved to be extremely agile, and a crack shot at that. Thomas appears to be fairly average in most categories, but he displays remarkable intelligence and people skills. He also has a high affinity towards medical skills. It's a damn shame that he's a Spartan, he'd make a great doctor. A good politician perhaps. Either way, those are the only two that stuck out to me.
Augmentation process
Subject: Augmentation Report
I used to wonder if what we were doing to these kids was wrong. Now, I don't wonder. I know. If there's a hell, we're well on our way. Granted, we'll likely have saved the human race, but still. Of the twenty-six, twelve rejected the augmentations. 8 of those twelve died, the rest are deformed beyond use for the program. My two star pupils took to the augmentations perfectly. Amir is blindingly fast, I'm willing to bet that he'll give (REDACTED) a run for her money. Thomas has continued to show high intelligence and mediation.
Final Testing
Subject:Deployment.
The Spartans are ready, as you so kindly demanded, Admiral. We've determined that all of the remaining 14 are fit for duty. I request that you deploy Amir and Tommy into the same Fireteam (
Prosperity has two open spots?) as they work wonderfully together. That, and I fear that their performance will decline should they be separated. Thomas would probably best fill the role of a medic or an advance scout. Amir is exceptionally skilled and would make a fine general infantryman.
