@Macabre Also, at this moment I am not quite sure what the rp will consist of, but eventually our characters will be fighting to prevent the end of all known existence. Currently once the characters are made they will need to find eachother and from there choose what they wish to do. Our gods may have influence on what we do or where we go, but we are making these choices ourselves.

The RP will revolve around the mortals themselves, though your chosen god may come into play every so often. It will be your choice whether your character will have already found their relic or not. When the Gods return.

Teraa, our planet, for thousands of years magic has been a powerful tool of both creation and destruction, yet for the last hundred years or so it has been on the decline. Healing magic able to bring people back from the dead reduced to healing a cold or possibly even a deep cut. Massive and infinitely destructive balls of fire reduced to a simple spark. Magical creatures and races such as dragons, elves and dwarves are all dying out. Magic is not what it was, and the people are slowly accepting this.

For another hundred years all was peaceful, and magic seemed to level out at the ' mundane ' level. It was then, on a clear summer's day that clouds filled the sky and a storm brewed in the span of a few seconds, a massive rift opening in the sky and hurling chunks of a long forgotten temple into the ground below. Most of these chunks were just that, pieces of a forgotten temple, yet a few chunks seemed to have a mind of their own and they buried themselves in the earth, attracting other pieces and recreating massive dungeons and miniature temples where a single artifact eventually would appear, attracting magical creatures of all kinds to protect these relics of immense power.

These relics speak, some speak to everybody and others only to certain people, though they all share the same goal. These relics are conduits of power for gods, both evil and good. Some tell tales of the coming fire, of a creature so unimaginably terrifying that those who are given visions of the beast often go mad. Some relics wish to spare this mortal world, and others wish to end it, and each god and their relic has their own reasons for doing what they do. Whose hands will these relics fall into? What will become of Teraa when only a handful of people hold the power of a god in their hands? Will the world be spared?

In this world magic is dying out and a storm of evil is approaching, the only true hope are the handful of gods who have returned for reasons of their own, and the hosts that hold the relics. Currently I am not looking for more people, though if enough people show interest I may accept one or two others, the whole idea is that there are only a small group of gods and their relics for people to possess. If this gets past a certain point I may start accepting NON relic holding characters depending on how people feel about it.

Name:Lana
Age:21
Gender:female

Physical description: 5ft10 with short black hair and freckles all over, her skin is mostly pale and her arms are covered in scars, her belly holds a single massive scar. She normally wears simple grey robes that hide everything save her face.

Personality: Only a few years ago Lana was an optimistic young woman who, despite being abandoned at a young age found a world filled with wonders and things to explore. Ever since Lana bonded with her relic she began to see the truth of humanity and the world they inhabited. She is distant, refusing to talk on most occasions and always assuming the worst, and normally being correct.

Abilities:
Blood Manipulation: After having sacrificed blood she may control it and use it in defensive or offensive ways, hardening it until it becomes almost crystalline and making it a blade or even a shield. When unhardened the blood can float or move along the ground regardless of slopes or gravity.

Blood Pact: Making a blood pact with a person Lana can use this pact to track them down later or even heal great wounds, though this healing REQUIRES them to accept the pact and once they do there is little to nothing they can do to escape it until Lana releases them. The pact also allows Lana to communicate with pact members at great distances and draw more blood from them without it becoming life threatening.

God:

Malthael, God of blood and sacrifice.

Malthael, a cruel but fair god who believes in the saying An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. He is a god of blood, as well as sacrifice in any form. Worshipers who had been wronged would often sacrifice something for the power right those wrongs, though Malthael would force them into a blood pact as a price and call upon them later. Due to the price Malthael commanded from his followers he was labeled an evil being, and his followers hunted down by those who thought themselves holy, though this could not be farther from the truth.
Devout followers of Malthael quickly learn that, like all gods Malthael is no more evil or good than humanity as a whole.

Relic: The Cayosin Di Iejir - A foot long silver sacrificial blade stained with the blood of hundreds of thousands of victims. Cuts made by this blade poisons everybody other than the host, and cuts made by the blade NEVER heal correctly, leaving deep scars unaffected by magic.

Background: Born from a high elf and a human Lana was abandoned at a young age, despite this she grew up to be a curious and caring young woman. She first encountered Malthael in the ruin where she found the relic. The blade spoke to her, it told tales of great adventures and adventures to come. It also told of great horrors on the horizon and trials to come that the mortal world would surely fail without the help of the gods. It was then and there that Lana made her first sacrifice, binding herself to the god of sacrifice through plunging the blade into her belly and waking up with the blade in her hands just outside the ruin.

Word of Malthael's return spread, Templars, mercenaries and knights alike all searched for her to end what they thought to be a coming slaughter, though with each enemy that came her way three allys came to defend her. Lana quickly grew a cult, groups of people from all races that worshipped her for reasons of their own, though Lana could care less since they protected her from the ' holy ' knights that came for her head.

Hello and welcome, for those of you I have already been PMing go ahead and place your characters in the CS catagory, for those of you poking around, feel free to explore and say something OOC if you find this interesting. For now I am only looking for 2 more people at the most since I get nervous very quickly in large groups, but if you take interest I will be sure to let you guys know if and when I have more open spaces, though eventually I will stop recruiting, only so many people can be a host for a god, the whole idea is that there are a limited amount of relics and gods that have returned.

Also, if you just wish to make your ideas heard about how this world can be further developed I will make a discord server if enough people think it is a good idea. So welcome, I hope to see this idea be built upon and I cannot wait to see your characters.

Anyways yes, this is an idea I have put together over a year or more worth of weird ideas from one place or another ( mostly weird dreams I get after staying awake too long x-x ) At any rate I am looking for somebody willing to help me develop the world as well as rp this idea with me. Our characters would be hosts for these gods and their relics. The gods and their properties as well as the relics themselves would depend on us together.

Remember that while these are gods they have been absent from Terra for hundreds of thousands of years and they are currently at their weakest point, so while the abilities they gift their hosts will be far beyond those of any normal mortal currently there will NEED to be limits on the power and reasons to not always use it, also one god CAN NOT give every power possible, a goddess of love would be hard pressed to give any sort of combat ability to her host, but persuasion and other things during quiet moments would be her thing. Also, gods and their hosts in no way need to agree on everything and would possibly disagree on a few things.

Example:

Malthael, god of blood and sacrifice.

Manipulative and filled with a sickening sense of justice Malthael gives his host the ability to sacrifice living blood from any creature in exchange for power. This power can range from simply manipulating the sacrificed blood, to controlling targets for a short time or similar things.

( this is a rough draft of the god I plan on using with my character, a handful of things may change but this is a good example of what I would expect from a created god. They would have an area of expertise attributed to what kind of god they are and not stray too far from that, a god of combat or war would not fare well in sneaking or public areas. )

-I like grammar but I am in no way a grammar nazi, there will end up to be errors ( mostly from me tbh x-x, let me know if I make any large errors. )

-As this plot of mine is barely developed I will depend on any partners for input and developing alongside me. This includes the world as well as the gods and relics attributed to your characters.

-There will be dark themes, it is why i tagged 18+, possible references to murder/suicide/abuse/ect but these will in no way be the main focus.
