I’ve worked min wage jobs and I’ve done the bare minimum and have still gotten the measly ten cent raises yearly and good references from them. There really is no point, bare minimum gets you by.

Konrad, make the social happen to Tyler's character!Come on NytePrease

Sorry man, I'll try to have it happen tomorrow. My life's a shitstorm right now and I'm really not in the mood. Pissed off at my family mostly, but I'll hopefully get by.
Haha, yeah.

THIS time the OOC will be up within hours, not days. Made sure of that this time.

Thanks for the interest!
Not much occurs the town of Bergen, and new arrivals are the only thing that really happen here. For the most part, the inhabitants get along with each other as best they can. But what they don't know is that many of the people of this town are supernaturals, such as skinwalkers, witches, spectres, and other odd folk. And some of the human inhabitants are hunters- A secret clandestine organization who have existed for centuries, with the sole purpose of hunting down all supernaturals. The two groups have hid their existence undetected by all in Bergen, hoping that this little town might finally grant them peace, and grant them normal lives.. but when several murder victims die of Exsanguination, it would seem that a supernatural may be causing the murders. Whether supernatural or hunter, both have their reasons for helping or hindering the murder investigations. Perhaps some might want to keep their normal lives, and destroy evidence and withhold information to keep it that way. Some might go vigilante and try to start up their own investigation, believing the local police inadequate. Or maybe even start some murders of their own....

Either way, everyone's secrets are in jeopardy. Bergen will become a new battlefield in human vs supernatural dominance. Blood will spill as the paranoia sets in. Who exactly is your new neighbor that just moved in last week? Your co-worker that always seems too busy to hang out with you? That reminds me. Your boss seems to have an avid nightlife..... A party animal or something else? You'll never know unless you take some drastic measures.

So, I'm attempting one last time to try and get this RP up and started. The last time I tried this, I got hit with 5 tests all in one week, and only one person signed up for the OOC when I was able to make it. Sorry to that poor fellow, the RP didn't even make it that far...

THIS TIME, I've actually made sure my schedule has been cleared up, so a repeat of that situation is unlikely. An OOC will be up promptly when sufficient interest is shown.

The premise of this rp is that no one will know who is a supernatural or hunter. In order to have a CS accepted, you must send me a PM stating whether you are a supernatural or hunter, along with any potential powers/weapons, and if you are a supernatural, your species and weaknesses. Don't reveal what you are so early in the RP- That'll only make it less fun. The fun of it is that you, an rper, must find out who the other rpers are rping as, a supernatural or a hunter. You'll get a reward if you guess correctly in the RP, and a special punishment waiting for you if you guess incorrectly! So don't just ask right at the start! Read other character's posts carefully, you may find some clues. But I expect each rper to try very very hard not to give off obvious hints. But your identity will be revealed sooner or later, so you better make use of the time that people don't know what you are.
Yorimasa sat in utter concentration as the last newly converted citizen of Edo left, enlightened by the teachings he had learned from his masters. It was nice seeing his fellow brothers and sisters enlightened in the way of Nirvana. The common folk needed hope, guidance, reassurance that finding nirvana was the next step to true happiness. But, alas, even with his benevolent goals, the Samurai of the Edo Clan glanced his way with looks of distrust, and maybe even hatred. The Edo had even posted a few samurai to make sure he wasn't inciting rebellion. The Buddhist teachings did renounce the lavish life of the shogun and his generals. There had been revolts in the past led by Buddhist monks that led to the dethroning of a shogun. But Yorimasa had no intention of doing so. Civil war would disrupt the peace of the individual and community. Not to mention the large loss of life on both sides.

Yorimasa would simply preach for as long as the people were willing to listen. When there was someone else who was able to recite his teachings, he would leave the city as it was when he entered.

But that day was far off. Perhaps a year or so and a disciple would be studious enough to be able to preach all the Buddhist teachings in the city. For now, he would abide his time.

Breaking out of his meditative trance, he placed his Nodachi over his shoulder, and picked up his Naginata. Perhaps a walk would ease his minds of the troubles that lay ahead. Sliding the door open, the sunlight poured into the normally dark building, and a few peasants passing by greeted him respectfully.

The Cherry Blossoms were just starting to bloom, signaling new life. The fresh air was gentle on his lungs, and he passed quietly through the streets, just taking in the sights of the bustling street life of Edo. It was nice to see normality once in a while. The warrior monk quietly walked the streets, stopping once in a while to take a closer look at something. It was unsettling to the citzens, but, he was a monk, so they left him to his own devices.

um... I'm sorry for making such a displeasing character? If you really looked into my character sheet... the first man she beheaded to prove her worth had a bastard sword, and that was where she got it. She does NOT use it for normal tactics, hence why I put down that is is an occaisional weapon, used mostly during one-on-one battles or against several opponents. She doesn't use it often, and GOD no she wouldn't use that as a shinobi. People have forgotten, Shinobis and ninjas are not what things like the anime 'Naruto' and Co. present them as. They are more slice-your-throat-as-you-sleep than attack you head on, and thats why they fell so often to the samurai. They lack in traditional melee. For the sake of there being a war, I felt it necessary to give her a fighting chance. Does it displease you?Thank you for accepting me ^^

Ninjas barely fought in direct combat in real life. They were more espionage than assassins as well, and they generally avoided combat. Just pointing that out.

Uhm, I don't exactly know how to get her into the RP...I assume after the near breakout they wont want to add anyone else to the group...Uh, ech, errr, maybe she could be the one to talk to Tyler's character? that would make sense because she is also known at the facility for being rather easy to control...

Thats fine.
Don't see why not.
Alright I'll be posting today. Hopefully. Depends how fast I finish my projects.

Name:Adachi Yorimasa

Clan: Adachi

Age:23

Gender:Male

Nationality:Japanese

Family: He has no known blood relatives as he was given to the temple as a newborn.

Relationship:None. As a Warrior Monk, he is not allowed any sort of relationships outside of friendly relations. Anything further is considered a disgrace to his practice.
Classification: Warrior Monk.

Weapon(s):Naginata, a japanese wooden spear, and a nodachi, an extremely long katana.

Personality: Calm in even the most tense moments, it’s rare to see him actually show much emotion at any moment. His monk upbringing however, causes him to be extremely polite to others. His sheltered life has made him dense to many things, and humor is likely to go over his head. Being a monk, he also likes to quote ancient proverbs and give advice. However, most of his advice is based on philosophy and not life experience.

Likes: Reading, Meditation, Spreading Buddhism, Helping others.

Dislikes: Those prone to violence, greed, and those who disrespect his choice of religion, Buddhism.

Strengths: Strong heavy blows, long reach with use of the spear and longsword.

Weaknesses: At extremely close ranges, he is at a disadvantage. His spear is useless, and his nodachi is close to uselessness at close range, as it is heavy and difficult to move the nodachi quickly. He also has very light armor, which would not last very long in a battle. Yorimasa is also very gullible- He puts too much faith in the “kind” souls. Claim to be doing some good and he will willingly help you.

Biography: At a young age, Yorimasa was given up by his birth parents to the monks of the local temple. And, as such, he was taught the ways of Buddhism. However, due to how even monks were targeted in times of war, they taught him how to use a blade and spear as well. Times were becoming more dangerous and the monks could not simply die due to their past ways of pacifists, so teaching these important combat skills was key to survival, and the monks made combat into an art form. And as they were under the protection of the Adachi clan, They had to expect to be drafted at anytime- The shogun had seen Warrior Monks in battle, and the shogun decided to use them as shock troops due to their combat prowess. Fortunately, that time never came for Yorimasa. When he was eighteen, Seeing that he was never drafted for the shogun’s army, the elders of the temple decided that Yorimasa would become a pilgrim- He would travel from town to town professing the Buddhist way. And so he left his humble beginnings, and has been living off food and shelter given to him by willing civilians. He has been traveling around for 5 years, preaching the Buddhist way.

During his travels, he has stopped in Edo, and has decided to spread his faith here as well, and has found an old derelict building that has become his humble abode.
