Shortly.

Just a regular university student, majoring in hospitality and tourism. Also a history and trivial knowledge nerd, aircraft aficionado, occasional trekker and a D&D player.

A plane was again taking off at the Orly Airport south of Paris as Major David Logan exited the main terminal with his luggage. It was starting to rain.

He was wearing his officer's uniform, and aching to be at his hotel to rest after a long, straight flight from New York. He reminded himself of the file he had been given by his superior back in the states. It had been quite thin, as there hadn't been much intelligence on the targets. The file had said that his new identity would be Major Harry Lockhart, a recon officer from West Point. It also had stated that his local contact would be another CIA agent stationed at Paris, a graduate from AADA. An expert at masking himself, the file had mentioned.

It was a rush hour in front of the terminal. Many taxis and buses came and left, dozens of people walked to and out of the terminal. David pulled out a Cuban cigar from one of his pockets and lighted it as he glanced around, watching the traffic around him. David started walking, stretching his limbs as he took steps. After a while, he hailed a taxi and enjoyed his cigar for a second longer before putting it out. He wanted to have a hot bath and go to sleep for a few hours.

"Take me to the Grand Plaza hotel, and quickly", David said, using almost all of his French in the process.
Not yet, no. I need to see how many character sheets I'll get before I start the RP. If I get more than 6, I'll remove the ones I don't like. I'll let all of you know when that happens, so that you can post in the IC.
@Teal

We've got five players and characters already. Are we going to wait until we have at least six characters?
Full name: Gabriel Logan
Alias: Gekko
Sex: Male
Age: 29
Nationality: British

Appearance: Gabriel is a brown-haired, 185cm / 6 feet two tall young man who has a body of an athlete. He has blue eyes of his grandfather. He also has scars all over his body.

Personality: Gabriel is mostly a well-behaving man, but under stress or in tight spots often turn to sarcasm and humor to lighten the mood of the situation. In truly menacing situations Gabriel can even have flashbacks from Afghanistan, but they truly rare.

Background: Gabriel is the grandson of a famous American CIA agent David Logan and his British wife. Born in northern England in 1987, his youth and early years were quite peaceful and boring. In 1994 he saved his big brother Lucas from a frozen lake, risking his own life for his brother. Few years later, Gabriel's brother turned to the life of crime and started to use drugs in his teens. Lucas Logan died at the age of 21 in 2005. The memory of his brother sometimes haunts Gabriel.
Gabriel would join the British Army in 2006, right after high school. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008, serving as a platoon leader. Gabriel's platoon met a grizzly fate, as the platoon was ambushed by an insurgent patrol. Most of the men under Gabriel were killed and Gabriel was taken as a POW. After two months of imprisonment and interrogations, Gabriel escaped from his captors, killing several of them in the process and traveled fifty miles on foot to the nearest allied outpost. During his captivity Gabriel learned the name of his interrogator. A will to live and revenge helped Gabriel to cross the wastelands of Afghanistan
Gabriel's escape made some headlines, but his endeavor was soon forgotten and buried. In 2012 he was discharged from service as a first lieutenant for a psychological stress reaction after few months of rehabilitation. Soon after been discharged, Gabriel turned to the life of crime, starting from burglaries and small time assassinations of wanted criminals, but he had a code not to kill innocents or deal drugs. Gabriel became quite soon a masterful burglar, assassin and escape artist, and he gained the alias "Gekko" from his fences and partners in crime for his affinity of eating lizards and other reptiles.
Gabriel has a policy of avoiding collateral damage and killing innocent bystanders, swearing only to kill his target, but he quite capable of using tranquilizer darts, martial arts and electronics to enter and leave a building. He is quite a sportsman, excelling at running, weightlifting and swimming, and is trained in judo and boxing. For the past year he has spent in central Asia and Middle-East, working as an assassin-for-hire, killing or capturing mostly internationally wanted criminals and tracking down the man who kept him as prisoner. To those have questioned him, Gabriel has told them that he's been hired as a private intelligence consultant by local militaries.

(@Teal Any better?)
Name: David Logan
Alias/Nicknames: Ocelot
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: David is an average-looking man. He is about six-feet one tall, muscular, black haired and has many scars all over his body, mostly due to special operations in South-East Asia.

Preferred weapons: Knives and handguns, particularly revolvers, but is also proficient in using other standard weaponry.
Preferred gear: LP player at his New York apartment, military gear (ODs and such)
Notable skills/talents: David is trained in survival techniques and military tactics. He is an experienced soldier, sharpshooter and medic. He also speaks fluent Russian.

History: Born into a middle-classed family in New York, David was raised in the very center of American wealth and high standard of living in 1942. But in the land of the free, the Logans, a family of entrepreneurs and importers fell into hard times in the 1950s. His father turned to alcoholism and died of stomach cancer in 1954 and his mother dying of pneumonia five years later in 1959.
Some time after graduating from high school in 1960, David joined the Army's paratroopers, serving in the 101st Division for a few years as an NCO. In 1963 a CIA agent took interest on David and offered him a transfer to the Agency's newly-founded special forces unit. After the induction to the Agency, David was drilled and trained to become a field operative for commando, behind-the-lines and guerrilla operations.
Here's my bid to the stage.

@apollosarcher When shall we start playing?

Here's my bid. I've aged One-Eyed Gyles accordingly to fit the new setting and time frame.

Okay, I am interested.

This takes even longer than king Aegon's crowning, lord Regulus thought. He didn't mind that the crowning took ages, as he had grown patient in the recent years, but his son Arthur looked like he was going to punch someone right to the face. Arthur was cut from entirely different cloth than his father, as he was an impatient and intuitive, but Regulus fancied himself as cautious and patient.

As the new Master of the Coin Regulus had had been forced to find the necessary gold and silver to fund this escapade, and it hadn't been easy to do that in the aftermath of the late king Arryn's financial "reforms" that had done more bad than good back in the day. But now those days were behind their backs. Regulus hoped that Rickard Arryn was better financier than his uncle had been, as the memory of "royal emergency taxes" still sting his heart.

"I present to you, King Rickard, the First of His Name of House Arryn, the King of the Seven Kingdoms, the Andals, the First Men and the Rhoynar, and the Protector of the Realm, from here to the Wall and Dorne! Long live the king!" exclaimed the High Septon in his high pitched voice. And every spectator in the hall answered to his call: "Long live the king!"

Finally, its over.
