Shortly.

Just a regular university student, majoring in hospitality and tourism. Also a history and trivial knowledge nerd, aircraft aficionado, occasional trekker and a D&D player.

I am also interested. While I am not the most acquainted with the lore, I still have some knowledge of it. I'll start working on the CS.

I might or might not have created the proper RP already, so hop on.
(Work in Progress and details will be expanded and revised)

Heroes of Hyberborea RP

"Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!"
--- Akiro the Wizard (Conan the Barbarian, 1982)

The Introduction

For the past five years now, King Conan has ruled the kingdom of Aquilonia. He has seen horrors beyond the wildest nightmares, fought men and beasts alike and conquered kingdoms and hearts of the women across Hyberborea – yet after his greatest victory, King Conan cannot rest, even in his own palace. Xetalca the Stygian, a merciless sorcerer, genius alchemist and a name darker than a Cimmerian night sky without stars, has sworn revenge against King Conan. It is said that the Xetalca's gaze alone can break the best Aquilonian steel. Thank the gods, then, that King Conan has a capable witch hunter by his side, looking at things more than ordinary, and King Conan is recruiting people to help in hunting down Xetalca.

The Setting

The game uses Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age setting, and the RP is set a few years after Conan has become the King of Aquilonia. He has settled down, but his enemies lurk in the shadows, plotting his downfall. Nobles squabble day and night, and only barely King Conan has survived two attempts on his life. He has married Duke of Poitain's daughter, but still hasn't sired an heir, which has set of some concerns to spreads in Conan's allies.

Basic grasp on Hyborian lore required. I will not be requiring remembering every published Conan the Barbarian story of the top of your head (because I haven't even read all of the Howard's work), but the feeling and atmosphere of a sword and sorcery adventure are important in this game.

Magic will play a role, but remember, it is extremely rare. It often takes years to master, and even modest power comes at great price. And King Conan probably doesn't like wizards, thanks for his superstitions and more or less violent experiences with wizards in his youth.
Heroes of Hyberborea RP

"Long eons have passed, but when the humans were young and the world was old, there was a time undreamed of. A time of heroes and villains, of noble men and women and greedy hearts, the Age... of Hyberborea!"

Are you interested in a tale of brawny heroes and evil-looking villains who laugh maniacally? Look no further, for I am looking for players for a soon-to-start RP that centers on Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age cycle. The premise of the RP for the time being is that a evil wizard is plotting against King Conan, the ruler of Aquilonia, and he needs your help to stop his new nemesis. I would be GMing and playing as King Conan. The RP is set a few years after Conan has become the King of Aquilonia, and he has consolidated his grasp on power after killing the former King Numedides. His kingship is still at shaky ground, and the wizard's plotting might disrupt the stability Conan has worked so long to achieve.

What do you say? Do you answer Conan's call?

@Hank Here's my character sheet. I made a sketch yesterday and refined some details today. Just give your honest feedback if you want me to expand or change something.

An Island on the Edge of the Ocean

Attention!

I will add details as I work them out and work my ideas into proper thoughts. Here is just a skeleton, but you're free to make questions if you need clarification and suggestions are always welcome.

An expedition was sent from a kingdom across a vast ocean to explore what was on the other side. Unfortunately, the ships have shipwrecked on a mysterious volcanic island with a seemingly curious but shy native population of primitive humans. Your task is survive until you're saved. But it will not be easy! The tensions between the marooned are rising over dwindling resources, and the natives might not be that friendly after all. Lastly, there are ancient ruins to explore, hostile environment to overcome and a sleeping volcano to worry about.

Welcome to the island on the edge of the ocean, a Robinson Crusoe-styled role-playing game with a fantasy backdrop. Your character is part of a expedition from a distant country. The island itself is a volcanic island covered with thick jungles, mountains and valleys and hosts a primitive human population. The natives are mostly living in a Stone Age community, making tools from stones and wood and hunting wildlife and gathering fruits to survive. Even with a low level technology, they still can outnumber the survivors.

The survivors lost most of their equipment in the shipwreck, meaning food, medical supplies, high quality weapons and other goods are scarce at best. The survivors are coming from a Renaissance-era country. Magic will play a part in this RP, but I am not sure yet how much of it I will implement into the game. On a scale from low fantasy to high fantasy, I would call this RP medium fantasy at best.
@AcerbicSerb Are you still interested? If you are, then could you expand your character?
