DV-3X took this opportunity, like many other times when its masters would leave the ship, to do some of the much needed shipboard maintenance. As outlined in the Czerka corporation standards and guidelines for registered starship owners. Standards its master did not read as often as he should. Programmed adhearance to these corporate standards compelled it to perform these functions whenever necessary.

The organics were on shore, lubricating their internal systems most likely. The organic desire for self damaging substances was not something wholely understood by machines. At least its body was easily repaired after using crude lubricants and substandard oil. Damage to organic bodies was far less simple.

For now its primary function was to guard the ship unless otherwise ordered. So that is what it did. Inspecting lengths of insulated tubing and the maze of wire and circuit that ran the length of the vessel while it did so.

Once Raymond and the other vertebrates successfully docked and unloaded themselves on board the synthetic puppet broke his perfectly still composure and initiated the drive sequence. He was aware of the death of one of the crew down below. Cassie was her name, He didn't feel her loss in quite the same manner as most of the other crew seemed to. Many of them had moisture on their faces, streaming from their simple eyes. What evolutionary purpose this adaptation served was beyond Jolenar. The act of shedding tears also seemed to bring about emotional stresses and distraction from their current work. Sadness and mourning were not unknown emotions to Xreene, but it was always done so as a private affair. With close friends and family, where they could sing in chorus of their sorrow in private. Never as a public display.

But he felt no sorrow over Cassie's loss. Maybe it was because she tended to avoid him, or maybe it was because she was a vertebrate. he found it difficult to relate to and form any sort of relationship with the crew. They were so.... alien. Alien in their mannerisms and alien in their actions. Conversations with them more often than not left Jolenar confused as to the purpose and result of the exchange. Or maybe he just truly didn't care about her. This, relationship and mental association to vertebrates was something for the Xreene to ponder later tonight.

"Raymond Captain." The android walked up to the captain of the vessel. Names were another thing he was working to accustom himself to. Vertebrates used bizzare combonations of names. From their real names to abbreviations and sometimes other names entirely with titles often thrown in. It was difficult to remember what was a name and what was a title in this language. And which was supposed to be spoken first.

"The engines have engaged. We are on course for the Committee central spire, Estimated arrival is three standard cycles, if continued at maximum efficiency." Without eyes there was no way to tell what the android was 'looking' at as it spoke. Just what direction it's face was pointed.
