@Sigma

Most excellent. Do you suppose the Dathu would be seeking allies to combat the Terran counter-offensive? The Conglomerate would probably be glad to oblige.
And I return from the darkest reaches of space. Did I miss much?
To let all of you know, I shall not be able to post over the next few days - possibly longer, though the latter case is unlikely.
Not to disappear without forewarning, I shall not be able to post for a while. While I should be back within a few days, the absence may draw longer, depending on circumstances; in such a case, do feel free to move Old N about so that he does not hamper general progression - just try and leave him in pieces large enough for me to do something with them.
Also, to whomever might be concerned:

From tomorrow, I shall be unable to post for a period - probably a mere few days, though, depending on the circumstances, I may be delayed somewhat longer. If all proceeds without complications and the role-play advances at its current pace, I should be back in time to join the conference; if not, however, do not let my absence delay you (in the unlikely case anyone had entertained such a thought) - I shall rejoin the flow of events at whatever point it should have reached.
In the meantime, be well.
Finally updated the military section as concerns the fleet. By the bye, do you people suppose the Terran-core nations would be aware of the Conglomerate's existence at all as of the current events' beginning? After all, it has mostly remained at the galactic periphery until now, probably only carrying out the occasional raid on the fringes of "civilised" space, and it might have sworn what allies it has to secrecy in preparation for a thunderous entrance. Having its envoys abruptly appear over Earth as an unknown and unexpected presence while the negotiations are underway would certainly make for an interesting impression (the "alien surprise" never gets old, does it?)...

@Malphaestus

If not necessarily immediately pleasant, it might at least prove quite instructive. This leads me to wonder - do the Neo-Zakaabites actually regard themselves as human, and could they appear as such to an external observer?
And looking at the Conglomerate, they sound they could be perfect allies for the Dathu, or as rivals in their power play, maybe both in a way. And of course we both use artificially grown armies XD

Oh, as long as the Dathu (it might be the residual effect of the original Agonis sheet, but, when I think of "Dathu", the first thing I picture to myself is still that Talz sketch...) continue to harass Terran nations in the galactic "south", the Conglomerate would be more than content to count them among its allies. Though it is likely to secretly plan to seize their bio-engineering technology and feed them to the synth-pits once they outlive their usefulness...

@Oraculum Hmmm... this is going to get interesting very fast. Though it reminds me I need to update my military info xD.

and to think my space!nazi's were going to be the primary troublemakers! xD

...As should I, actually. That lonely mention of an "Ulkor Ruinator" is the most detailed piece of information I have as of yet.

And, I fear the Copernicans are somewhat too subtle in their approach. After all, cunning assassination is not usually as glaringly effective at causing trouble as a giant semi-organic warship suddenly appearing to fire depopulation bombs from orbit, or is it?
To someone less self-assured than Old N, it would all have appeared too easy to be right. Despite the pertinacious assaults upon his feet, the hulking warden seemed to be dazed, or preoccupied with whether he had left the kettle on the stove or what-not, making no attempt to repulse the swiping pincers targeting his lower extremities. However, the crustacean demon was quite convinced that everything was going just as it was supposed to. Admittedly, this was due not so much to any excess of confidence on his part, but rather the reflection that, had this not been the case, some contingency planning would have been in order, which sounded as though it would entail a far greater effort than it was worth. After all, it was not as though the situation was about to change dramatically-

*crunch*

Too suddenly and rapidly for Old N to be able to do anything about it, Nefas's left foot darted up, then down again, into - indeed, almost through - the assailant's right pincer. Before even his torpid body had registered the pain, the right foot followed suit, another *crunch* filling all of the demon's senses, including those where sounds had generally little to no business. He barely had the time to glimpse the feet disappearing somewhere upwards before it finally reached him how strongly it hurt to have both forelimbs crushed into chitinous paste by what seemed to be roughly five tonnes of cambion. And did it hurt. The jolt sent Old N springing to an upright position despite himself (there was, after all, a reliable method to convince him to stand up..) and blindly staggering a few steps as his entire nerve-less bulk was convulsed by pain, which, for a few seconds which passed as swiftly as decades, was all that filled him in every conceivable sense.

However, the only truly constant thing in Old N was his laziness, and it was only a matter of time before it reasserted its absolute and illimitable dominion over his mind. As it did so, it was not pleased. Not in the least. Though the immediate impact had somewhat subsided, what remained of his pincers still hurt plenty. And it was going to hurt for a long while still. And, as anyone who has ever tried to sleep with a broken limb can attest, this would not help his habits at all. Although this realisation came at the behest of Old N's slothful nature itself, so momentous was its effect that it roused him from his mire of drowsiness more readily than anything had ever done in centuries, and handed him a flaming torch of anger to cast clarity upon his way to vengeance.

Dismissing all thought of tasteless metaphors, the crab-demon spun about himself more rapidly than anyone could possibly have recalled him moving, bringing himself to face Nefas's exposed back. As he firmly planted his armoured feet upon the floor, his crushed pincers dangling limply along his sides, he began to chitter once more. But now, it was not an irritating clicking fit for a plastic wind-up chicken of poor quality. No, this was the ominous, foreboding rattling of a ferocious insectoid alien from a not-overly-creative science-fiction epic. "You. Half-human reject." he crackled, his voice bearing nary a trace of the usual grogginess, "Do you have any idea..." His hind-legs tensed, preparing for the upcoming monumental effort. "...of what you have DONE?!" With these words, Old N sprang forward, bringing his entire not inconsiderable weight to bear onto the warden's back, set to deliver what promised to be an impact that would put the Cyanean Rocks to shame.
Hmmmm, which one of us will be guilty of destroying peace? :P

I can volunteer for that position. Indeed, the Conglomerate would most likely not even deem a peace treaty an item worth considering, and its contribution to the negotiations, if any, would probably take the shape of an Ulkor Ruinator ship - all the better if it can strike as Earth itself, notoriously the heart of the corruption that is the Terran species... That said, it would leave some time for various interactions to unfold (as required by dramatic convenience as well as physical necessity, as I shall unfortunately be unable to post for a while in a few days' time), possibly maintaining a token presence at gatherings through an ominously and meaningfully silent hologram. I have half a mind to portray my aliens as a faceless threat of sorts this time over, and what better manner of doing so than having them appear at a general assembly as nothing but shadowy figures and unspeaking assailants?

@Malphaestus

If you would be interested, my proposal to have a Conglomerate scouting-raiding party stumble upon the Primal Fleet, either as a parallel event with the above or later on, still stands, despite being buried under several pages of revitalised activity.
Rather than just write an IC that's focused on my own nation and defeating the purpose of the RP, I'm happy to collaborate with anyone to get the ball rolling.

Alternatively, I think there needs to be a common event or goal linking all of the nations in the RP, at least initially.
Here's some brief ideas:

-A terran based goal, perhaps focused on becoming the legitimate Empire successor by securing the capital planet, imperial family or some meaningful Macguffin (crown, throne, imperial seal, etc)

-Anti-terran goal, harder to land on something with so many disparate nations but possibly a meeting of alien nations to unify and define their goals against the terrans.

-A peace conference organised by neutral nations to cease the conflict between terran and non-terran nations (and of course something goes horribly wrong). Possibly the best idea as all nations can take part and it gives us an opportunity to establish the relationships between multiple nations at once.

Failing this, we at least need to establish canonical relationships between the accepted nations (i.e. of the accepted nations, who do we hate, why? who do we like, why?)

I second this. An event involving all, or at least most, factions could be an excellent starting catalyst for plot development - I would say the third option is the one which strikes me as most promising in this regard, as well as being that which I would find personally most entertaining (disrupting negotiations is such fun, as @Sigma may well remember...). Either way, I am open to collaborating with whomever wishes to, seeing as I am struggling to think of a stand-alone opening post and would not object to establishing relations with other nations in-character from the beginning.
