Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap! thought Yoshino Hikaru as he rushed to get his standard gi on.
Behold, dear readers, one of the fools -if not THE fool- of this story: Yoshino Hikaru. As one can tell, his day was not off to a good start. He overslept, and now he's paying for it. He had already resigned himself to the fact that he was going to be late, but if he was going to be late, he was going to make sure that was absent from the class for the least amount of time possible! So he did what any normal teenager would do...He rushed.
He was running over to his class room with his half his gi on, and the other half flapping like a flag as he desperately tried to reach his arm through it while running. There were very few people he had to dodge as he ran past them. Maybe they were students, maybe they faculty, but at the moment, they were just obstacles. One type of two that appeared just to keep him from getting into that classroom. The other obstacle was anything that the thin, but sturdy and strong rope, tied around his arm could catch onto. There were a few times where he had been yanked on the arm, because the thing snagged on something.
Still, he eventually made it to the entrance of the classroom. Breathing heavily for running without an intended break left him out of breath. He took the time to catch that breath, while fixing his gi. Hikaru listened closely to the inside of the classroom, and found that he was correct. He was late, and they had started without him.
With a sigh, Hikaru made himself known to his classmates and teacher. He scanned the room to get a good look at his classmates and teacher. His almost eerily small pupils darted around from student to student. It was just as he suspected. Some of the most gifted and talked about students were in this class, and everyone else was just as determined as they were to become the best.
It was actually kind of disappointing that he was alone in the determination department, but Hikaru showed no sign of that disappointment. Instead, he moved on. He felt it was better just to ignore such feelings until class was over.
He looked over to the teacher, and found that this guy seemed skilled. A lot more serious about doing a task than the other teachers he ran past. This one also looked...familiar. Hikaru couldn't quite put his finger on it, but this teacher seemed VERY familiar.
...Oh well. No sense in wasting time staring at a guy.
Hikaru bowed his head and proceeded to say,
"Apologies, sensei! I have no excuse for being late!"
