Hmmm... I think I might try going to the catacombs to get the great scythe....

Don't even bother with Dragon weapons, you'll easily be outdamaging the Drake Sword if you have a weapon with even C Scaling soon enough if you simply upgrade it and raise the stat/stats it scales with.I'd suggest going with a weapon with a B scaling minimum. Some weapons also upgrade in scaling when upgraded, such as the Uchigatana going from B scaling with Dexterity to A scaling around +10.

Awright, ignore dragon stuff, got it! Yeah, I was thinking getting a katana or halberd (scythe) would be nice. Of course, they wouldn't be available form the start, right?

Overwatch, get the sword I told you, the claymore.

I'll run past the dragon. Get the claymore, kick ass with it untill I get better gear.

OVWERWATCH, IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO DODGE AN OPPONENT.ALWAYS.THERE IS NO EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE.IF YOU CAN, DODGE IT.ONLY BLOCK WHEN YOU HAVE TO.ALWAYS DODGE WHENEVER POSSIBLE

This is what I planned on doing. I am one to sacrifice defence for mobility, because, if you can assault your opponent, and, dodge their attacks, there is no point in defence. Of course, I'd only sacrifice a necessary amount of defence.
Alright, well, I ain't gonna pass up the chance to look at any sort of gear, if it really is that easy to get.

Leaps and bounds ahead of what you'll probably have at that point.Well, basically you just stand behind a wall, and pepper his tail with arrows, but yeah it's pretty cool I guess. It made me feel like I was playing a monster hunter game for a little bit.

It sounds cool, but I dunno why I should attack it's tail, and give it a free chance at killing me.... a dragon seems way too powerful to just fuck around with so early on in the game. Besides, a sword like that is probably hella slow.

*turns out it can't scale, whatever that means (I assume it has to do with leveling). So, should I really get it?

Wait, I have to cut a dragon's tail off!? Crazy!
What's the drake sword? Is it good?

There is a cleric and a sorcerer, but yeah just go Pyromancer, the Hatchet is a good weapon, the shield has great physicals, and you start with fire magic.

Alright, sweet. Although, I'll probably like to move on to other weapons after the hand axe wears out it's use. I'll bet I can still pick other weapons just fine.

Also, why should I stary from the graveyard at the start? Is there nothing rewarding there?

I chose Warrior. Starting class doesn't matter much past the tutorial though, so your class selection isn't very important.

I see. So, does the gear you start with matter either? i think the only major difference is choosing a pyromancer, right?
