Hey archangel, wanna do a bit of a collab? I figured Thael would try to reassure/comfort Aaron. Doesn't need to be too long
Hmm so it would seem. Alright, i'll get to work on mine.
I thought it went very well. Initially I was a little leery of the stagger system, but it was actually very helpful. As you intended, it let me keep track of how things were going without actually having to worry about it.
Beautiful work Rocksy :p. Thanks a bunch!
Ultra nifty Rockette, keep it up!
While I'm inclined to stay away from number-heavy systems, I do like what you've put together. I think filling out attributes would be a simple way of clarifying your character's role, strengths, and weaknesses. Personally, I think I'll make Thael's attributes something along the lines of

Commando: 3
Ravager: 8
Sentinel: 18
Synergist: 6
Medic: 0

The idea being that Thael is nigh impossible to take down, but doesn't heal very well. Individual spear thrusts don't do all that much damage, but I want Sunspear to have a real sting to it. I'm thinking I need to add a status effect to Guardian leap, either buffing the ally Thael leaps to or debuffing surrounding enemies to enhance his tank utility, as well as specifying that it provokes enemies.

Since status effects and stagger meters didn't exist when I developed Thael's limit break, I'll need to specify it's function a bit. I'm thinking it would completely empty allied stagger meters and apply all positive status effects for a given period of time, while retaining the "makes enemies run away" aspect.
Actually there's an idea: for combat posts, everyone post a summary of what you did, just for quick and easy reference?
Posted. So I think I got that alright? I figured not all five would be able to complete counterattacks before Freddy got there and drew aggro, does that make sense?

I stayed vague with damage done. If I understand correctly, Prisk will determine damage actually done.

Hope I didn’t take too many actions, let me know if there are any problems. I can change the targeted raptors or number of targets if necessary. I realize I'm engaging more targets than others, but I did sort of design Thael do exactly that in his role as tank. I also figured that the other raptors would be free to descend on Kim and the back lines, so everyone else has a chance to get up close and personal if they like.

EDIT: Awwwww Adora god dammit I feel so guilty now. It's great.

@Everyone: Love how this is shaping up, keep up the awesome posting!
Battle

Thael's blood froze in his veins at the sound of the raptor's rapid approach. This was it. It was finally real. For a split second, he was paralysed with a combination of fear and excitement. Then his brain kicked in. Ten hostiles; raptors in a standard pack formation approaching at high speed. It was practically a textbook perfect engagement, and Thael nearly began shouting orders himself. But Olivia's voice rang out clear and firm, and he automatically assumed his position. Their formation was solid; Thael was confident he, Freddy, and Kim could hold the frontline while the heavy hitters worked up their spirits from the back. Thael was also pleased to note Olivia’s formation left no one isolated: in theory, it might be tempting to split up Olivia and Remi to initiate a pincer action, but that would leave both of them exposed and could easily backfire. “Stand fast guys, we can do this!” he yelled as his spirits awakened, bathing him in light.

As the creatures drew ever closer, Thael carefully considered his options. The team had trained together ruthlessly, so few--if any--furthers should be necessary. Thael decided he’d opt for a single Sunspear attack as the creatures closed to range, aiming his actual spear towards a raptor on the left flank so that Olivia could easily retrieve the weapon and send it back to him, while dividing the sunlances evenly amongst other targets for maximum threat generation. He would also need to keep a close eye on Olivia and Remi, ready to leap to their side if they got into serious trouble. He also made sure to check back on Kat, Roy, and Aaron; once the initial shock wore off, the raptors would probably head straight for them, and he’d have to be ready to-

And then Aaron ran past him, sword blazing, right into the middle of the pack, and Thael’s weakness reared it’s head. He didn’t check with his squadmates, he didn’t even think for a second, he simply acted. With a roar, Thael heaved his spear at one of the raptors descending on Aaron in the middle of the pack (Omicron). As soon as it left his hand, lances of golden light snapped into existence out of thin air and smashed into the 5 raptors closest to Aaron (Kappa, Lambda, Sigma, Omicron, Omega). Still acting on impulse, full of the desperate need to protect his friend, Thael gathered his strength, and with a surge he leapt to Aaron’s side, landing with a burst of light that elicited cries of pain from the raptors (same 5 as before). He quickly stepped forward and yanked his spear from a raptor’s chest, golden light blazing from his body. “You will not have him!” he yelled defiantly.

That got some attention alright. One of the raptors lunged at him with claws and snapping teeth (sigma). Thael smashed it out of the air with his shield mid leap. A second (lambda) came in low from his other side, snapping at his legs, so Thael smashed the butt of his spear into its face. The third (Kappa) took advantage of his distraction, managing to wrap it’s jaw around his left leg. The combat armor buckled but did not break, and Thael grunted in pain as the crushing bite bruised his leg, but he didn’t slow down.

Then Freddy came smashing down from on high, hammer first into a raptor, a deafening shout washing over the rest of them and redirecting their attention away from Thael. Now that he had a second to breathe, Thael suddenly realized his mistake; he and Freddy had both impulsively rushed to help Aaron, but that left only Kimbo to hold the front line as the remaining raptors closed in.

Summary:
Thael uses Sunspear for medium elemental damage on raptors Kappa, Lambda, Sigma, Omicron, Omega, and heavier physical damage to Omicron
Thael uses Guardian Leap to move to Aaron’s defence, drawing aggro from and dealing light elemental damage to raptors Kappa, Lambda, Sigma, Omicron, Omega
Thael takes light-medium phsyical damage from raptor Kappa
Would the AOE effect on Thael's Guardian Leap suffice to draw aggro? I was thinking he might jump in after Aaron
