Current I sometimes crave people, but then they visit me with their families and pets and kids and grandparents and suddenly I just want to be alone so I can sleep in peace. /sleepy

The sudden, to-the-point confrontation left Rainbow pale as a sheet. Steeling herself, she exhaled sharply through her nose.

"Sorry, I got caught up with this case I found. This guy, he's been posting on his Facebook about his ghost girlfriend coming back from the dead and- and messaging him." She poked her index fingers together and, in a sheepish tone, added, "Scary right? We all use Facebook but things like this happen also."

"What?" Her pronunciation took a sharp turn towards Americano, the Asian bits but a ghost memory. They burned through stairs, long, wet, and quiet alleys before reaching a majestic building with a karaoke sign board that had an obvious neon decor to it at night. "Are you referring to the Thai bitch from back there?"

When speaking of the psychic, she bore no politeness now that the girl was out of sight. Still, there was a sense of familiarity in the way she captured the topic.
I'm so tempted to just drop a troll bomb and later have Murphy say, "I'm lesbian and Noon and I slept together before you came along."

But I don't want the poor kid to have a heart arrest, nyeh heh.

EDIT; MY HOMOPHOBIC PHONE AUTO CORRECTED LESBIAN SO MANY TIMES LOLLL
Because of Noon? 8D
"I know right?" She found herself clenching the edge of the table with her fingers and let go before her nails broke. With a thump, she sat down again, a sigh dragged out as undramatically as she could. "But if say she, uh, ahem, c-cheated on you before you die leh?" Her voice, barely a whisper, melded into the air, "Then how?"

This time, she dared a straight look at the researcher, eyes wide.

"That would be very nice. I know this really nice place that got serve black squid rice ..." The Thai girl felt coy around Fletcher, his innocence infecting her. Or maybe she was too thrilled to be exposed to such a strange specimen. She couldn't tell yet.

"Okay, so we three do the least job compared to m-Rain and Awester," the pinkette bobbed her head slowly in understanding as she looked inside the array of pens - red, blue, black, and a lonely green - and a simple, practical stack of lined A4's.

"You have shit taste," she mumbled, but decided to pay the rounded sum as printed on the receipt. Forking over the twenty ringgit orange bill to a grateful Noon, Murphy started to make her way out with an aloof, "I'll be out with Fletcher."

Her voice left a ringing finality between the three. Even with her back towards the two flirting youngsters (Murphy liked to consider herself part of the older generstion regardless of age, a chagrin to the older staffs), her stature imposed a sense of "I'm looking at you" directed at the new hire.
Ooh! Alright. I'm interested, yeah! This is the closest I can get to my secret dream job, Invisible Girlfriend, so I'll sign up as an AI. That okay or has there been a lot of discreet AI registrations already?
@KatherinWinter

Are we to make characters and be randomly paired up?
Yes, I do.
We're finally getting there to start a new case! Our maiden case!
"El perfecto!" She grinned and clapped, "It's a date." The words came out of her mouth like second nature, having picked up the generic response from too many hours in front of American TV shows.

"No! No perfecto!" Noon stormed in with both hands, each grabbing a plastic bag, with the red label 'typo.' on the otherwise white sheets. Dropping the stationery on the flimsy carpeted floor, she smiled dangerously at the Chinese duo.

"You two plan to go paktor eh?"

"What, are you jealous?" Murphy glared at the Thai girl, folding her arms.

"Ofcos! I was about to ask if he wanted to lunch with me or not! You want to keep himself to yourself?"

"You could come if you want to. It'll be a menage a trois at most," smirking, the boss shrugged. "I'll send you home after, no big deal."

The psychic's face scrunched in confusion. "Mena-wha?"

◇◆◇

"W-What? Chya!" The girl jerked up to stare down at the Caucasian, face beet red. "I-I-I don't ... I ..."

Blushing, Rainbow cleared her throat and lowered down her volume. "I already have a boyfriend ... um, a bit ... something like that. Uhh ... a-anywaysss ... if, let's say, you died and you have a girlfriend, would you come back to see her?"
Just a note, like a bit of background, Murphy asks everyone out when they first meet. To gauge them herself personally.
