Current I sometimes crave people, but then they visit me with their families and pets and kids and grandparents and suddenly I just want to be alone so I can sleep in peace. /sleepy

Simple CS design

EDIT: (Yes, an edit in this early) The grey color I use is CCCCCC, but some people use different shades. It's just enough to soften the look and allow white to act as a natural bolding agent. Even without 'colour', greys can help any reader as blocks of white tends to look rather harsh on the eyes.

Firstly Underlines and spacing
L O R E U M I P S U M
[h3][color=ed145b][u][b] L O R E U M I P S U M [/b][/u][/color][/h3]
L O R E U M I P S U M
[h3][u][b][color=ed145b] L O R E U M I P S U M [/color][/b][/u][/h3]

By positioning the colour code outside the underline code, the line will be white, otherwise it will follow that colour. Also note that each letter has a space in between it so that the headings don't feel so cluttered. Compare the below.
L O R E U M - LOREUM

It's not much, but it can help with changing the look and feel of a heading by making it grander. Also I tend to put 4 spaces between words so they are packed out and not crammed together to accidentally form a single word.

The other thing to try is spacing between lines and where you place your BB code. Horizontal Rules are easy to see as they tent to be unusual with their workings.
Example
[Hr][Hr]Word[Hr][Hr]
Word[Hr]
[Hr]

Word

Word

By adding a new line, the HR actually drops to the next line, thus creating a space. This unusual attribute also extends over to align tags, indents, headers and even lists. Understanding this will allow you to trick the code into adding spaces when you need it, and hiding them when you don't. Going back to my header example you can see it in effect.
L O R E U M I P S U M
Dolor sit amet
[h3][color=ed145b][u][b] L O R E U M I P S U M [/b][/u][/color][color=ed145b][sup][b]Dolor sit amet[/b][/sup][/color][/h3]
L O R E U M I P S U M
Dolor sit amet
[h3][color=ed145b][u][b] L O R E U M I P S U M [/b][/u][/color][/h3][h3][color=ed145b][sup][b]Dolor sit amet[/b][/sup][/color][/h3]

By keeping the text within one H3 tag, I can reduce a space and condense my wording up. Also, note that I used a sup tag which will keep the font of the H3 text, but the text size will be closer to normal text size, thus tricking the reader into thinking a different font has been used for regular text. Sup also raises the text so it will blend in with the heading, but the sub tag can be used for a similar effect with words in a paragraph.
Dolor sit amet:
Suspendisse fermentum pellentesque dui, quis consectetur dui hendrerit a. Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora torquent per conubia nostra, per inceptos himenaeos. Nunc tempor risus sit amet posuere sollicitudin.

Finally, the TAB button is also a space button (most people work this out by now) so it's great for creating tables and an alternative to indents.
Lorem Ipsum
dolor sit amet | 5 |
consectetur | 72 |
adipiscing elit | 100 |
Nulla sed pharetra erat | N/A |
id interdum enim | Yes |

[u] [b]Lorem Ipsum[/b] [/u]
[i]dolor sit amet[/i] | 5 |
[i]consectetur[/i] | 72 |
[i]adipiscing elit[/i] | 100 |
[i]Nulla sed pharetra erat[/i] | N/A |
[i]id interdum enim[/i] | Yes |

Basically combine these and your CS should appeal to pretty much anyone. Hope that's what you were after, but the more you experiment, the more you can work out what helps in CS designs and what doesn't work.

Note: PNG images of underline flourishes and dividers help with the overall look as well.

Sorry if It's not the best grammar wise or such. This is how the whole post looks as code.

Are You Nutter?

I'm no master of coding. I have no idea what you are talking about. I do not like to use colour at all... that is because all coding uses the color tags instead.

Why would anyone ever use Colour CCCCCC on the eyes. The harsh colours of White are much more appealing. If you don't believe me then just look at this paragraph. That word White just draws so much attention that I don't see why anyone would ever use it. Even if you Bold the word as well, it just draws a lot more attention.

R E A S O N S W H Y D E S I G N S U C K
Who uses indents on their text. No I just love big blocks of text that flow into each other. And TABs are useless. Why would people want to underline a TAB button press. It's just a blank empty space. Here is a List of more things that suck.

ASCII Symbols
Do not ever use this website.

Hidden abbr Tags
Mahz doesn't have this listed on the site so why use it?

Never Look at the Raw
Seriously, stalking cool sheets and checking out how they used their tags is not cool. Never click the View Raw on the top right of the post. It is not cool to think of them like bookends around text. You should always try to [i][b]misalign[/i][/b] BB tags so they do not work.

One more thing... At the top of a CS never modify it to have one of these:

⦉ NuttsnBolts ⦙ 29 ⦙ Male ⦙ Damn Sexy Man ⦊
"On a scale of 1 to 10, you're a 9...
and I'm the 1 you need."

I'm a hand of matching suits! Poker aside, I'm a slow roleplayer who takes most things coolly. There may be a berserk button hidden somewhere but you must have x-ray vision of a scumbag to find it. Normally it'd sound like a challenge; if you get a kick out of being spurned and shunned, who am I to deny you that pleasure?

F E E D M E P U N B U N S ?

If what my friends say are all truths, then I'm a pleasant company? My tendency to ghost in and out often confuses people though; sometimes, as cliché as it sounds: "It's not you, it's me." I like my me-time too!

If a conversation to me feels like it will exhaust soon and I don't have much to contribute to keep the fire going, I stop replying. (Something about being superfluous just annoys me, yanno?) When something comes up and I think of you and feel like rekindling another chat, I'll be sure to message you like an old friend.

W A R N I N G : P R O C R A S T I N A T O R A H E A D !

21, Libra-Scorpio woman, Eastern Asian (specifically, South-Eastern).

I've eight cats, five of them indoor for the most part. My taste in music is open-minded, but I discovered that I'm a xenophobic who's hesitant to try recommendations - you'll have to come off as someone who has a sure opinion and calm demeanour for me to trust your suggestions.

Passive-aggressive people have a love/hate relationship with me since I play their game if it amuses me, but many times when I do, they get downright personal and bitchy. Ah, right, I cuss. Sometimes. Because of my heritage and family morals, I try to keep it to a minimum. More likely than not I keep a prim and proper attitude with strangers and acquaitances; get to know a different me in time - I love surprises as much as surprising others!

Y A N D E R E

I get along with most people, frankly! Just not obnoxious folks who enjoy shaming others to get a gleeful cackle in their sad little corner on a daily basis. Get better mojo, bro!

Punctuation.
I am, for myself, absolutely anal-retentive about commas, periods, parentheses, apostrophe, semi-colons, colons, question marks, exclamation marks, and ... god forbid, proper closing of a dialogue in quotation marks.

Capitalisation.
Upper case for names, places, "I", acronyms, first letter of a new sentence, and initials of titles. They matter to me.

Tempo.
If my sentences are long-winded with commas after commas, my narrative voice is drawling and lazy. Concise sentences punched with definite periods mean it's a bam-bam-bam affair. I like setting the atmosphere and tone, haha. This affects lengths unfortunately, thus my aversion to promising "post sizes".

Perspective.
Third person point-of-view, always. Past tense almost all the time unless it is a special case. If I'm being a Dungeon Master for one person a la text-adventure style, then I do second person POV for illustrating the environment.

Paragraphing.
I have a short attention span and compulsion for compartmentalising things in general, so I split dialogues to a new line of their own, and only continue onwards if the next speech is from the same character. Most of my paragraphs are two to four sentences strung together, so no behemoth text walls from me.

Vocabulary.
I try not to use spammed adjectives in common situations. I also try not to sound grandiose and pretentious.

Keep It Down Low

I N T R O .

Clara's Spatula is, unanimously seen as, a cornerstone of Sunrise Strip 41; all the old residents of the humble town, young or old, patron the diner, some for a quick bite, others replacing the vacant spot where their mothers' cooking would be.

It sits alone and away from the petrol station, which is a few dozen feet away from town, thus becoming a welcome sign of life and rest stops for traveling cargo truck drivers and the occasional cars as Reggie's Motel and the diner herself sandwich the petrol station. Eat up, pump up, rest up, go.
