Character Name: Srebrenka Zeva
Witch Name: Asimi
Character Age: 17
Character Gender: Cis-Female
Nationality: American of Greek descent
Appearance:
Personality: Srebrenka is her own worst critic. Cruel and critical on her failures and frequently doing a number on her own self-esteem despite not having much reason to. She fakes it until she makes it when in public, but suffers from less-than-fantastic development emotionally. The girl struggles to make meaningful connections with others and can develop irrational attachments that border on dependency to those that she's exposed to for long enough periods of time. Thanks to this, Srebrenka can be struck with loneliness while surrounded by her peers and typically feels a sense of anxiety revolving around the opinions of others.
Despite her self-perceived shortcomings, Srebrenka is perceptive and far more intelligent than her typical demeanor would imply. For all that her family treats her like a fragile doll, the girl doesn't have the bright-eyed optimism that one might expect. Rather, she takes in knowledge, and without a guiding hand, allows it to churn in her mind until it twists to fit her own helpless views. Feelings of inadequacy and a deep-rooted fear of rejection have plagued and shaped Srebrenka into the less-than-strapping young woman she is today, digging her claws in deep for any semblance of control.
At least she's got a smile that could trick poker masters.
Familiars:
Soma is a grumpy type of fellow. Though typically the size of a German Shepherd, Soma can grow to the size of an exceptionally large dog on his own abilities. He's easily the most intelligent of Srebrenka's familiars and the overall leader of the trio. Despite this, the canine rarely, if ever, leaves the girl's side unless ordered or provoked. He can be imbued with Srebrenka's blood to increase his size.
Small for a sphinx, but cunning like her base. Though physically the weakest of Srebrenka's familiars, she's quick and perceptive, and capable of spitting small amounts of fire. She tends to be independent and rarely listens to orders, and frequently goes off on her own without warning. Amaroq can be imbued with blood to increase the strength of her fire.
If raw power is what Srebrenka needs, Gilbert is the one to go to. He can swim through the air like water and cuts through water like a knife. Though a bit belligerent, the kelpie tends to act protectively over his fellow familiars...but he's pretty violent once riled up. Much like Srebrenka's other familiars, he can be imbued with blood to increase his raw strength.
Magical Weapons: Empress's Scythe - Is it considered a magical weapon if it's fake and likely to be a self-induced crutch for her more powerful abilities? Because that is literally all that the "scythe" (it's made out of crafting foam and plastic) is. The scythe was formerly a part of a Halloween costume she made with her family. Honestly, the only thing magical about it might be that she actively has to make it grow to a proper size. She can swing it around and such, but it's easy to break (and repair. She's broken it while playing before).
Magical Abilities:
Spell Crafting - In particular, spells of wind and ice. Crafting a spell requires a handful of steps, the first of which being to obtain a medium to evoke magic from and the second being an incantation. While the words of the incantation aren't important, they act as a catalyst to focus the more chaotic energies gathered through her magic. Her spell crafting is limited to the generation and molding of wind and ice and typically uses mediums that Srebrenka has formed an attachment to (for example, a blanket or a teddy bear from her childhood).
Blood Buff - Most of Srebrenka's abilities gain strength through the use of her blood. Though she doesn't need open wounds to implement blood into her abilities, she still loses the blood. Using her blood provides a drug-like euphoria that can be addicting, especially for someone like Srebrenka. She does feel the effects of blood loss when she uses her blood to increase her abilities frequently in a short time.
Spell Crystallization - The utility belt of magic, as Srebrenka refers to it. By using her blood, Srebrenka can craft spells to be crystallized and stored for later. In their physical form, spells can be activated with shorter incantations than on-the-spot crafting. However, without an adequate amount of blood, crystallized spells are less effective. Furthermore, they're less stable and if hit with enough force, can violently release stored magical energy, and are easier to disrupt, dispel, or redirect prior to activation thanks to their physical form.
Emotion Consumption - Much like spells can be crystallized, Srebrenka can solidify emotions if the concentration of desirable ones are high enough. Consuming them can restore stamina or relieve pain like a drug, though they do not heal Srebrenka's wounds. Unfortunately for Srebrenka, solidified emotions don't have a long shelf life, so to speak, and fade away after about two hours, so stockpiling isn't an option. She can only solidify negative emotions such as loneliness or self-loathing.
Strengths: Srebrenka is a quick learner and possesses fairly high muscle memory potential. Her real strengths lie in strategies and tactics over straight combat thanks to the fairly utility of her abilities.
Weaknesses: As someone that's spent very little time in athletics, Srebrenka has little to no combat experience. In addition to this, her stamina isn't exactly off the charts. Furthermore, her self-critical personality tends to get her into her own head, which often results in crippled judgment.
Biography:
Srebrenka grew up with her brother constantly trying to protect her from the world, and she never understood why. Unlike her brother, who learned through experience, Srebrenka picked up her cues from the world through keen perception. It was that perception that drove her to the ground, for she always found something wrong with everything she did. There was always something that she could improve on, and her mind amplified each failure to perform like a high-powered microscope. Watching her brother succeed with seemingly little effort only pushed her harder, and knowing he did everything to protect her bore at her heart until it threatened to break under the pressure.
When their aunt disappeared, Srebrenka was quick to notice how everyone around her changed, and quicker still to see how easily control slipped through her fingers. After all, she'd always struggled with mediating her emotions, and with so much pressure added to her, the girl couldn't do anything but grasp at straws for the sweet release of control. All she had wanted was stability, and so she turned to the presence that had always been by her side.
But he wasn't there. Her brother had changed, just like the others around her, and it led to a storm of emotions that Srebrenka could not control. In the three years since their aunt's disappearance, the single constant in Srebrenka's life had drifted away. More nights where he came back at first light, if he came back at all. Perhaps she never needed his protection, but his presence had meant everything to the girl...and it's high time that the storm be allowed to break free from its tranquil vessel. All it needs is a little push.
