I'm still God.

Bio

If we are marked to die, we are enough
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires;
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.
God’s peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more, methinks, would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart. His passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse.
We would not die in that man’s company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.

Quite so. If he's not a Weade, feel free to come up with some sort of barony-esque family. (including family name.)
Well, I got the Baron all sorted. Let me know if there's something you don't like. Still working on Gabbi. Annnd done with Gabbi too.
Both are great characters. I'm gonna do a run past all characters later on as per my habit, but I don't think I will change my mind about accepting them. Good job!
Don't worry! The rules state that you should be prepared to either ask questions or to do some research and you did the first, so it's no problem. I am by no means an expert on EVERYTHING medieval so I'm bound to make mistakes as well! Curious about your character now, can't wait to see.
Since the Whitelands are not really a kingdom on it's own and armies are generally commanded by their respective 'owner' (i.e sir Fighterdude raises a levy of 400 men for Joakim, but since it's HIS levy, he will want to lead them.) I do not think there would be such a thing as a general. That only really came into play during the time of empires, and Borhilon is by no means an empire. Rather, in the area it's in, it'd be one of the smaller kingdoms and would likely be beaten in a war if it were not for the steppes between them and other kingdoms. However, a marshal (someone who aids with military bussiness) would be a thing in the court of Joakim. Basically he'd be a man trained in the art of warfare, a veteran who knows his things. He'd be giving advice, but also directly influence the troops by training them, leading detachments of Joakims own levy and such. Does that fit your perspective, perhaps?
Don't worry about it, it's just semantics isn't it. ;)
Wow, your intro kind of broke my heart. It also kind of made me laugh (I felt guilty about that) because you don't sound like someone who learns Japanese and moves there because of anime and 'superior Japanese culture!' A katana can cut a European broadsword in two! Feel welcome here!
<Snipped quote by Partisan> Well, I think I've got what you mean. Because King Etwine is King over all of Borhilon. And the Dukes lord over each of their four demesnes. And the fifth area is where the king is. Got it. Got it. And I don't think it's much of a surprise really... You kind of hit the nail on the head.
Loyalty comes in many forms. And yes that's what I mean! Basically, it goes king -> duke -> count -> baron. But I can be lenient with this as it'd complicate stuff unneccesarily.
Mercanary's or sellsword's? What shall we call the less noble characters of the realm? Planning on making one of the above but don't know what I should refer to him as...
Low born, I'd say. If you feel like inventing some sort of term you can always use the ''well in area x they are called so and so, and he took the term with him.'' argument.
That all depends on how the plot unfolds, I'm trying for a conservative character trying to get by but is interrupted by politics and unrest, and again the rear depends on how the or unfolds but rest assure I will make her fit. And sorry about the Muscovy thing, I'll fix it.
Sounds good man, just some errors with the universe-stuff. Happens all the time don't worry 'bout it. I think you and me roleplayed together before. Either that or we talked in the iRC sometimes...
I'll put this here for now.
Looks very good so far, except the title 'duke' is reserved for the rulers of the demesne (i.e Rikard was a duke, your character could be a count or baron.) Either that, or the kingdom of Borhilon would be an empire, Rikard would've been king of the north and your character would've been Duke of his geographical area. Not sure if you got what I meant because I'm rambling, but either way it's not a big mistake or anything. I'll leave you to deal with it as you best see fit. That aside that character actually seems really interesting and it has me curious as to how the serving girl fits in now.. I anticipated an uncle that'd try and get the throne for himself, and her as his 'spy' if you will but this changes things. Delicious surprises.. :P I love them.
While I enjoy real life history as much as any history buff, we are sadly not in a universe that shares the nation 'Muscovy.' Besides that I wonder how you'd see her fit in?
I'll happily allow it! I see you might already be plotting and scheming.. perfect. :) If you want, the uncle could hold a barony of sorts in an area around the Whitelands. That'd make him the subject of Joakim, and later Gregar, but since they're family.. ehh. :P
