Howdy Yoshi, saw your interest check and thought it was interesting. Tell me if I need to change anything.
Name: Grendel

Appearance:

Grendel stands at 12'8 at full height however he tends to slouch and run on all fours which brings his average height to about 6'10. Normally his eyes glow with an unnatural yellow color but when enraged his eyes turn a burning red. For a beast his size and age its odd that he doesn't have any scars, however it works in his favor as many a young hunter would think he was just some experienced beast.

Age: He doesn't remember, but has been around since 521 AD

Affiliation: On the fence, but leans more towards good.

Magic Capabilities: Can regenerate wounds and limbs in a matter of weeks.

Weapons:
Claws and teeth.

Strengths:
Strong enough to tear through iron with ease.
Hide is nearly impervious.
Knowledge of ancient runes.
Knowledge of ancient weaponry.
Greatly enhanced senses.

Weaknesses:
Weaponry blessed with runes can cut through his hide unbidden.
The form of Grendel is horrifying to see and causes many to flee.

Relationships: For the most part he has an uneasy relationship with almost everyone.

Brief Bio: Everyone knows the story of Grendel. A giant beast kills a many men and another man comes to kill Grendel. Well he would be the first to tell you that those are all lies. Grendel the "Monster" was just a brother seeking vengeance after what the king did to his kind. At the very beginning, before the king made his meadhall, the land belonged to Grendel and his siblings. They would run through the prairies and forests, hunting and playing to their hearts content. That is until Man came. At first it didn't bother Grendel or his siblings, they were just new people that could be ignored.

However that soon changed when Man first set eyes upon his kind. With fear they lashed out and began to hunt down Grendel and his siblings, until there wasn't any more left. Overcame with grief, Grendel went on a warpath and killed the kings battle brothers that slept within the meadhall. Then again and again. He repeated this until one day he met, Beowulf. This is when the story gets fuzzy. Beowulf wasn't naked and unarmed, instead he was covered head to toe in armor and was blessed with a sword of incredible power. The battle between the two was great, but it ended with Grendel losing an arm.

The story stays pretty much the same, Beowulf killed Grendel's Mother and Grendel went into hiding. Eventually Grendel returned and found Beowulf, broken and near death. The warrior now old king had vanquished a dragon but at the cost of his life. Grendel didn't kill Beowulf, exile had taught him wisdom and with that came with the realization that Beowulf didn't know any better. Beowulf was fed lies that Grendel and his mother were horrific beasts that had to be slain. At the end, Grendel and Beowulf left on good terms. Well, as well as they could. Both individuals respected each other as warriors.

Afterwards, Grendel stayed in the dark and rarely made much contact with anybody.
Nathan sat at attention at the mentioning of fight clubs. Not his proudest moments, but Nathan did learn how to fight how he does in these types of clubs. Flashes of broken teeth and money flooded into Nathans mind, it was a dirty business but very lucrative. In Alaska Nathan earned himself quite the name in these fights, one cocky or desperate bastard and Nathan just dukeing it out for a wad of cash. Nathan never really liked it, but homeless was homeless and Nathan didn't like dumpster dinners all that much. Giving a sigh, Nathan pulled the mask off his face and ran his fingers through his hair.

"I can check out the fight clubs, I've got experience in that department." It wasn't desirable, but if it meant some clue towards getting the mission done than Nathan would do it. Slumping his head back against the wall of the plane, Nathan continued "These things are usually run by two people. The banker and ring man. The banker deals with all the valuables like money, jewelry, and secrets. The ring man would keep tabs on fighters. I can get to both if I can get on their good sides." Taking his water bottle, Nathan took another swig and wished that it was a shot of kidney courage. The fights always brought out the worst in him and Nathan didn't want to head down that road again.
Upon further investigation it seems that you guys already have a killy guy in the mix with your soldier. Eh, actually my plates pretty full. I think I'm just gonna bow out. Have fun yall.
Is this still excepting?
I'm getting pretty intimated by all these great CS's.
I think my fingers are going to strangle me if I try to do that again.
Jesus Christ I've never written a post this long before. It took me like two hours.
"A fine day brother, is it not? When an entire company of Salamanders. Assault, Tactical, Vanguard, Terminators and Sternguard alike all prepare to do battle on our hated former brothers. To bring the wrath of Emperor's Astartus down upon them, like a bolt of fire from the Emperor's own hand."

At the words spoken by his battle brother, Arios couldn't agree more. The sky itself seemed to rumble with the energy of the coming battle, the sounds of battle were not far off, ad it had been far too long since he unleashed his flames on the enemies of the Emperor, by his mercy. At the mention of his flamer, Arios was brought back in time to the moment when the two first met.

Back to one of the few battles that were worth remembering, a younger Arios was pinned along with the last of his battle brothers by a large Hunter Cadre. The humans on the planet had commited the greatest hearasy and allied themselves with the foul Tau. The fight was long and hard but eventually Arios and several other battle brothers made it to a bunker in an attempt to call in reinforcements. The Tau had sunk their claws deep within the minds of the people there, but they were not people any longer. No, not to Arios, they were heretics of the greatest caliber. The anger that fueled his autocannon fire as it tore through Tau, Kroot, and traitor was unlike anything his battle brothers had seen. In turn they began to redouble their efforts, determined to bring down as many xenos and heretic scum that they could. It would take weeks for the message of their attack to reach the rest of the troops, months for them to actually reach Arios and his battle brothers.

Eventually after many weeks of battle the last battle brother died. Leaving Arios and his crippled captain, Cassiah Braun. Capetian Braun was injured during the initial fallback and his health was in steady decline ever since. At the end of his life, Captain Braun entrusted Arios with his prized possession for he would no longer need it. A Phaestos Pattern Heavy Flamer, a holy weapon from before the Horus Heresy. At first, the machine spirit rejected Arios as it deemed him unworthy and as such wouldn't work much if at all. Arios felt much the same but nonetheless he would carry it out into his one man war, hacking at the forces of the Tau with his chainfist and hoping to give it to one more worthy than him. That is, until it shattered against the armored hide of the Tau Commander at the climax of his guerrilla war. Forced to bludgeon the blasphemous wretch with his fist, Arios was soon beaten down by the shear mass of the battlesuit. Beaten, broken, and near death Arios released a titanic roar of unbridled rage and passion.

Something inside the flamer unlocked, the machine finally accepted Arios as its master and released a glorious gout of promethium. The Tau commander fell almost immediately, having not worn a helmet and his wretched face burned away in seconds. Limping, Arios bathed the rest of the Hunter Cadre in holy fire as their pathetic ammunition bounced off his hide. Soon after the commander was felled, the rest of the troops came from out of warp jump and brought their wrath upon the heretics. Setting off a beacon, Arios sat down for the first time in what felt like months. With his fallen battle brothers all lined up together, they were soon taken by the apothecaries to get their gene seed extracted.

When Arios was taken back, there was much debate as to whether or not they would allow him to keep the Heavy Flamer. While the debate raged, they discovered that the machine spirit within would seldom respond to anyone but Arios. This combined with his past actions lead the captains to allow Airos to use the weapon until his final days. Ever since the two have become synonymous. By themselves they are dangerous tools of the Emperor, together they are even more so.

Smiling faintly at the memory, Arios said " I too hope to share the field of battle with you, Brother. May your hammer strike true and the Emperor watch over you." Giving himself a smack on the chest in a show of camaraderie.
The seas are in turmoil. An enemy long since forgotten has arisen once again and plans on conquering all that dwells below the surface. His minions are many and strong, their numbers growing for every mer captured as they twist their flesh into mockeries of what they once were. His Kraken destroying and kidnaping whole cities. The lord himself condeming whole swaths to poison and decay. The kingdoms are losing this war, their spirits are breaking, and their patience dwindaling.

However there is still hope. The lords of the oceans, King Neptune, War master Carcharodon, and the Deep Witch Cirrina have all called in a counsel. It is decided that a small group will go on a journey to find the one thing that can defeat The Lord of the Deep and finally end his reign of Terror forever. Yet it is easier said than done as the weapon has been lost for centuries and the whales have gone into hiding, fearing for their lives.

You and your allies are the most capable in the eyes of your respective lords, you may not be a warrior of unmatched skill or a witch of incredible power but for one reason or another you have been chosen. The quest is clear, find the whales, get the weapon, stop the tyrant. Arm yourself and steel your spirit, your journey begins now.

Basically whats going to go down is this. Evil master guy wakes up after thousand year slumber and blah, blah, blah. The dudes evil, that much is clear. Your job is to stop him and his army from conquering the oceans and causing your deaths or if your truly unlucky, transformations.

Now some ground rules

With that out of the way lets get some water dwellers down in here.

Any other questions? Ask me.
Since Nathan has super strength, would it be out of the question for him to be able to make big jumps?
