I was thinking of hitting it with The Van but I think plasma beats van in this round of rock paper scissors.

I died and reincarnated into fantasy world- WHAT'S WITH THIS LIGHT NOVEL-LIKE SETTING!?!

So far we have a tengu, a cat-girl, a kitsune, a bratty mage, a wendigo, an angel who'd rather he not, a musical bum, a gremlin, a wannabe, a luchador, and a chick who can talk to animals. If this isn't the definition of a rag tag group of misfits, than I don't know what is.

Character Concept: "A very crass but ultimately caring little gremlin."
Name: Germ
Gender: Male or Female... sometimes neither
Background: Whoever Germ was before is a close guarded secret, so allow me to divulge all of it right now. To put it bluntly, Germ wasn't in the best situation. To spare any nasty details they had to become a "Person of the Night" to make ends meet, a profession Germ was not very happy doing. But like a soldier they pushed on, not willing to give up like the others fate dealt a crappy hand to. All was tolerable until Death came knocking, one of those wrong place, wrong time deals. Two of the various local gangs were having a turf war and a stray bullet just happened to find it's way into a new home, Germs chest. And so they died, a nasty hand in fates little deck of cards. But, all is not lost. With a second chance at life Germ has found a new form and a new purpose, to be better than they could ever be before.

-Shadow Surf, Germ can "dive" into something's shadow and ride shotgun for awhile. Should one shadow meet another Germ can travel between them if they wanted. Bright/magical light forces Germ to eject from their ride.
-Magi Vomit, a solid, crimson beam of magical energy. Very powerful, VERY painful. Takes at least an hour to "recharge".
-Gunk Shot, at its core the gunk shot is an adhesive, slightly acidic ink ball that Germ can throw at people.

Obsidian

Appearance
Obsidian isn't the tallest or shortest Gem, only being around six foot two in total height. Her features are hard and angular, giving her a naturally grim appearance and a nasty scowl. Obsidian's hair is pitch black in color and take the appearance of dreadlocks, these dreadlocks are in turn kept into a thick ponytail that sprouts just a couple inches off her head. Her skin is a dark grey, a faint contrast to her pitch hair. Finally Obsidian's clothes are predominatly black, albeit a lighter shade than her hair, with grey highlights.

Personality
About as rough around the edges as her gemstone, Obsidian is an acquired taste to put it bluntly. She has a very sink or swim mentality, not putting up with those who cannot pull their own weight in the group. However should you gain her respect you will find loyal guardian, if not friend, who will turn the world upside down to ensure your well being. Because of her function as a warrior she isn't incredibly well versed in the subtler emotions or intentions, easily perplexed by complex emotions like guilt, melancholy, anxiety, compassion, and love. Basically, when inside her element, Obsidian is a resolute and stoic warrior ready to take on the universe but on the other hand she is more like a lost puppy when outside her comfort zone.

While she does not eat food, Obsidian is very found of drink. Herbal teas and gasoline being her chief favorites.
