I keep coming back here very so often, as if it would make my wanting to return any better. I don't know why that would be. I would just disappear again and regret it again, I'm sure.

I'm just... really in a bad time. I feel awful. I'm don't think I have the strength of will to show my face here again after letting everyone down.

@Afina I changed Ki Strike's mechanics: it functions as a normal attack with a chance to damage through armor, and charging it only yields a slightly higher chance. As such, Ki Blast now also functions in a similar manner, but must be charged initially, so it cannot obtain a higher chance.
Alright, here we go.

Let's do it.
I'm interested in joining, but the character roster seems pretty full already. If you have room for one more, though, I'd be glad to contribute a human monk from my own DnD history. I'm thinking I would modify him a bit here to grant extra emphasis on things like Ki techniques, for the sake of providing something more unique.
@Ubermensch
see:
You become immortal and are forced to watch all your friends and loved ones age and die so that all you have to write for the rest of infinity are angsty poems the emo kids will steal and post on Tumblr as their own.

Also, you would live long enough to witness the death of the sun, causing Earth to be incinerated (youth and health won't save your from that). If you can somehow manage to escape to space, then you are now immortal but mostly alone in the quiet sky, traumatized from losing most everything you knew and loved so that you go very mentally insane drifting through the endless void.

I wish I could find all of the games and toys I mysteriously lost.

@Voltus_Ventus I... don't think that makes any sense, in my opinion.

Even if the ship only has about 3 weeks or so left in it, it should still means it can fly through the raid even if it takes damage - the whole battle can't last more than a day, at most. Plus, if you drop into the city yourself to scavenge parts, it offers no immediate solution as to how you're going to get back up and fix the airship in a timely matter as long as we're still fighting.

The point being, even if the airship is that close to coming apart, there's not much point in dropping down to get parts unless the airship goes out of its way just to pick you up - and this is during a major battle involving it, so that's unlikely to happen. So, considering you would likely have to wait for the airship to dock safely anyway before you can even get aboard again, it would be in fact much safer to just wait until we get though the fight so that we can then rest easy and take as much time as we would need to scavenge.

Of course, maybe you're suggesting the ship won't even last through the fight, which Renault most definitely should've known about before dropping out of the airship. I can't say for sure. I'm certain that the train of thought in your mind makes perfect sense, but of course I don't have your mind.
Alright, here goes-

Name: Julian Cauldra
Race: Fell Human (also called Phantom)
- Essentially an advanced form of undeath brought forth by alchemy and old science; think of Frankenstein's creation.
Class: Hunter
Weapons: Bladed Bow + Arrows
Abilities:

  • Hallow Arrow - Julian nocks a magic-infused arrow and takes aim, producing a shot that can pierce through one target and strike another behind it.
  • Prey's Bane - In melee range, Julian can take out an arrow and impale an enemy's more fragile point with it, causing them to lose health over several rounds.
  • Mark of the Rukh - The fell human uses a free hand to channel energy into himself or another target, briefly granting increased agility and reflexes in their normal attacks but also temporarily disabling their abilities.
  • Steel Maiden - Julian briefly immobilizes himself to focus in the surrounding area. All arrows currently stuck in living foes suddenly burst into large needles of light, dealing additional damage per arrow and disintegrating each arrow.
  • Blast Shot - An explosive arrow capable of harming and blinding foes in a 6-meter diameter. The arrow itself can be shot from the bow, or used in a melee attack like Prey's Bane.

Appearance:
A grizzled-looking man with a scarred face, piercing hazel eyes, and a low rumbling voice. His foray into undeath hasn't served his appearance any better, giving him instead a deathly grey tone to his skin with callouses along his body.
His typical wear is a layer of plain clothing, under a thicker layer of leather armor sewn into heavy cloth, alongside hardened leather boots and gloves. He obscures his lower face with a large scarf only a slight shade darker than his own skin, muffling his voice. Julian wears so much so as to protect himself from harm and the elements, and to help hide his appearance as an undead human.
As far as weaponry, Julian uses a bow of fine elven craft, grafted with a pair of blades to act as a crude and unique melee weapon when the need arises. A large quiver mounted at Julian's hip stores his ammunition: arrows imbued with a latent magical power that Julian can channel energy to unleash.
