That is why the Hegemony fights the good fight!
Kesik should assume that, because she was Alliance, she must have eaten some babies at some point.

Just that's he's the better Batarian lol. I'm not bothered in all honesty, my favourite is Chuck Morris after all. He'd have the Reapers screaming for peace in short order :)

Oh, nah. He's is just my favorite. And I am a pretty unimportant person so it shouldn't really matter, hah. Everyone's done pretty good so far though.

I'll remember this my friend, I shall not forget for five minutes. ;-;

Remember what? I'm not saying anyone's character is bad, if that's what you're saying :P
I haven't read the post yet, so maybe my opinion will change, but I really like Kesik as a character. It's good to see a character who's a Batarian through-and-through. Usually, when you see them, they're complete and utter villains. Kesik seems to have motivations and reasons to back up what he has done. He's not black and white, and I like that. Good job with him.

EDIT: Read the post. Yeah, honestly, probably my favorite character so far (not that the rest are bad!). I like his discreetness, and how he thinks ahead of things. I like that he thought the meeting could be a trap, too. It makes sense.
Yeah, quality writing so far. I'm excited and I'm not even playing :P
My Shepard's story was pretty rough in terms of how many people died, but I like it that way. There isn't a good story without tragic loss along the way. The crew of the Normandy was almost completely wiped out on two occasions (first when the Normandy was destroyed, and then when I was too late to rescue the crew of the Normandy V2 from the Collectors). In addition to that, Zaeed and Miranda died, as well as Legion. And, of course, all the people that die regardless of what you do.

No amount of shitty ending is going to lessen the impact of curing the genophage (MORDIN WHYYYY) or that heart pounding excitement of when the fleets arrive at Earth.

*Obvious spoilers ahead*

By far one of the most memorable moments for me was on Rannoch. I played a neutral Shepard who was a bit of an ass. It turns out it's best to stick to either Renegade or Paragon. I hadn't had any problems until then though (except in Zaeed's loyalty mission, where I didn't have enough of either karma to convince him to get over Vito. But even then it didn't matter much 'cause he ended up surviving the Suicide Mission anyway, regardless of loyalty). It wasn't until I got to Rannoch that it really hit me hard when I didn't have enough of either karma to convince the Quarians and the Geth to form an alliance. I had to choose between them and that was truly a heart-wrenching decision. I ended up choosing to side with the Quarians after I convinced myself that the Quarians, being organics with a long history of evolution and whatnot, deserved to live on more than the Geth.

I still felt like crap though, since the Geth weren't just mindless robots; they had developed and were about to become truly sentient before I cut their existence short. Gunning Legion down was the worst thing I did, probably. And we're talking about a Renegade-leaning Shepard here, who had done plenty of bad things. But nothing compared to gunning Legion down. I shot him more than once too, for whatever reason, which only made me feel worse.

"Creator.. does this unit have a soul?"

I probably won't hunt down people who showed interest (on account of goldfish-like memory), but do check back periodically. You never know when there's going to be a recruitment drive.

Yeah, will do.

Like I said, I don't have anything better to do, so I'm content with waiting. I have a cool character in mind for when - and if - spots open. But it's a little different and will probably require your permission (and cooperation). I think it'd be a cool little twist though, if it were to be accepted, which kinda makes me geek-out a bit thinking about it. Still, I don't expect you to - and nor do I want you to - change up the set up you have going with the eight-player limit just because I - some random guy you don't even know - want to join :P So yeah, I'll wait.

.... in sadness, in this dark corner.

So... has anyone else started a new game of Mass Effect? I haven't played the series since I experienced the ending of Mass Effect 3 and was left heartbroken and desolated in a field of hopelessness, but I'm understating just how I felt. The RP still sparked my interest.

I actually thought of replaying the trilogy not long ago (maybe inspired by this RP, heh). The last time I played Mass Effect I was halfway through my second playthrough of Mass Effect 3. You're right; the ending sucked. It's not an unpopular opinion though. Still, it's a great series with a very detailed world to immerse yourself in. I might end up playing through the trilogy again soon. It's just a real pain in the ass to play the first Mass Effect, so just thinking about it makes me not want to replay it. Don't get me wrong; it's a good game, especially back in its day, but it's obviously very outdated. Mass Effect 2 on the other hand, is a pleasure to play through even now.
