Portugal could be a good nation to start.

It's not too bad, but I did a little reading and it looks like Portugal was in a state of constant decline at around this time. Their leader at around this time, Louis I, was not a very good... leader. It sounds like he didn't really know how to rule effectively. I didn't read anything that suggested he was a total fuck-up, but everything suggests he was a 'meh' leader that ruled during a time of decline for Portugal.

That is not to say you couldn't switch things around, but it'll be hard.
I'm not grasping at straws. I'm repeating what you said earlier. You suggested that the UK and France ought to make orders to turn their resources into military equipment. If you're so quick to suggest that, why should it only apply to them? You ought to have to make silly orders too.
You could go for Portugal, since it's one of the few countries with pre-made stats (though they're deep in the MK1 RP IC). Besides that, I think the only other nation in Europe with stats is Spain. South America and Africa are empty so you should probably avoid those.
How about you make an order to purchase that equipment, then?
Do I really have to go over all the things a military needs, besides guns? There's literally hundreds of things that soldiers need to help them survive on the long march. I purposely left it as a broad statement because I really can't be bothered to give you a giant list. Hell, even winter clothes, or just durable clothes in general, can be said to fall under the category of 'equipment'. Tools, shelter, things to cook with, materials to build with, medical equipment, ect. There are literally hundreds of things you could list before you even get to 'rifles' and 'artillery'.

@Sol: He asked to rejoin and Ab didn't seem to mind. He just said he'd have to wait until someone dropped out.
Equipment is not just things that kill. Soldiers need more than things that kill to survive. Things that they can be more easily supplied with if their governments have colonial empires.
That's too bad. See ya', and good luck.

I guess Rare's coming back in, then.
But we are arguing for an increase before the first update is released. So.. like, a revision. An increase to the starting stats. We know they have a lot of resources because they have colonial empires. The same way you are arguing we should know Prussia has good equipment because we know they have the needle gun.

What I am saying is, sure, maybe we should give a slight equip. increase to Prussia. But because we know for a fact the UK and France have more resources, Prussia's equipment rating should still be lower than theirs.
