Sorry, but I can't green-light the Russian gold stuff. The gold is and should be a Russia-specific storyline - one that I have the ultimate say on as the player for what remains of the old Russia. And that said, I have my own plans for where the gold ended up.

My internet service provider needs to fix my stuff so I'm still working with painfully slow internet. I can't really do research or anything with this internet without getting frustrated at how shit it is, so I've been procrastinating as usual. Feelsbadman. Sounds like a shitty excuse and it kind of is, but I promise you doing anything with my current internet is fucking painful. Can't even properly enjoy maymays because it takes longer to load a jpg than my attention span allows for. Kinda wish this whole thing had launched at a more opportune time, but that's my luck.

I did originally point out the unlikelihood of a highly progressive government developing in that area, under the circumstances, and in this timeline. Remember, that in PoW, the world isn't just technologically behind, it's also behind in general as a society. Anti-Semitism is probably a big thing in Europe and the US, and other parts of the world would have their own prejudices. I don't think Byrd wants to RP racists for the hell of it, but he does it because it would be the reality of the world that exists in PoW.

PS: You know what'd be dope as a long-term thing? If Aaron took that Hoff meme and made something serious out of it. When he makes leader portraits again, if he does, it'd be cool to overlay them over countries like that. It'd make his job of managing the map harder, but that's alright 'cause he deserves it for his past map-managing transgressions.

I'm cool with letting Inkwell define his territory to an extent. Like, if you look at my map, I took all of St. Pete, but I also took parts of Karelia, Tver, and Novgorod (and that chunk of the Baltic, but I'm talking about proper Russia here). My reasoning was that if the Imperial Army has been fighting since the fall of the Tsar, it is reasonable to say they have made some progress, or have managed to hold on to some of those old territories.

I think the same can be allowed to happen in the Caucus, but I agree with Aaron that it would be best if we kept the Caucus mostly divided and if we all collectively agree that it should be an area that is especially bad as far as lawlessness and faction warfare. So if Inkwell wants to take, I don't know, fuckin' Rostov, but also wants a small piece of Volgodonsk or whatever, he should be allowed to as long as there is a good explanation for why it's in his control and how it has remained that way. That's just an example, though, I'm not saying he should settle for a really shitty claim.
