How much are you writing?! xP
Looking forward to it! :D
Alright, the first post is up! :D
I'm trying to figure out how to end my first post. I have 7,000+ words and it's probably going to reach 8,000, but I'm only saying this to tell you that 3 paragraphs is your minimum and not to feel the need to write so much. Most of it was written during the hiatus, anyway, so most of the post is going to be in a spoiler.

I also was wondering if you wanted me to work on filling out that template on the doc you made.

But I'm going to try to get my post up tomorrow. You can start writing yours since nothing in mine dictates what you would be doing. :)
Very nice CS.
I would only suggest adding to some move pools.

Drexel: To go with the nimble/agile nature, Quick Attack, Agility, Double Team, and even Extremespeed. Also, I understand she's more water, but Ice Shard would be a good move as well as Aqua Jet.
Also, is "Wave" an original move? I don't need to know details, I was just curious. But going along with that, you could make a move that compliments a Vaporeon's ability to make itself look like water and become invisible.

Zoe: I think adding Quick Attack, Agility, and even Double Team would work well for her.

Also, you can give them any other Ability you think would work for their personality/fighting style/type/etc. You're not constricted to game canon. But there are restrictions on said personality/fighting style/type/etc.

But feel free to post this in the CS tab. Again, very nice CS. :D

I can't imagine what the attraction is to playing a canon character. But I psychoanalyze too much and would rather I play characters that would react in a more "logical" way than what I see in some TV dramas, movies, and even the few books I've read. But I will never be able to relate to any canon character because I put so much of myself but also my ideals, aspirations, and even dreams into my characters because I see nothing in a canon character that I can take pleasure or even interest from.

But I've always been a dreamer and always put myself in any role I play (limited acting experience myself). When I watch TV, movies, musicals, etc. I imagine how I would interpret the scene and how I would react, even as that character. I don't believe it's possible to do that with a canon character. The Elphaba from one cast of Wicked will always be different from another Elphaba from another cast, but they will be the same, which can be an argument for putting some of yourself into a canon character. But I feel, with writing and RPing, when taking on another person's character without the creator's direction is disrespectful. I see it akin to copyrighting infringement or stealing art, even.

Absolutely, one can take inspiration from a character, be it a quirk, a strength, weakness, appearance, etc. But it's important to make the character yours and different.

But if you're an RPer that RPs characters very different from yourself, it might be a good exercise to play as a canon character or research other writers' inspirations for characters or psychological sheets of characters (if there are such things). But I still think it's important to create something "new" or "original" for one's sake of personal growth as a writer and creator.
I've never really read books before. When I do, I can get into them and my favorite series so far is that of Wicked by Gregory Maguire.

Though they have some similarities, I always think novels are mostly different than RPing and have always had a separate mindset between them. Sure, it can elicit similar emotions and senses, but reading another's work about an entire world and discovering it through their interpretation is much different than conversing about ideas with a group of people and constantly developing it as the RP goes on. There's an omniscience with RPing and an expectation that you don't get from reading a book. Characters aren't created by you, you don't know their background going into it. It's exciting, to that degree, to read a book.

However, I've yet to read a book or series since then and have always been in my own mind about creating my own world and story. I believe I'm getting into wanting to write a novel rather than RP (inactivity, lack of communication, lack of cooperation, lack of understanding, etc.). But creating a world with another person or other people when all are interested and passionate about the subject is just as exciting, it's just different than reading a book.

I don't know if my response sufficed as an answer to the question...I kind of ended up rambling >.>
Are there any mechanics you're thinking about? How close to the game are you planning on creating this RP? Is it going to be canon or original? Is it going to be a "standard" Pokemon journey from the beginning or are they going to be trainers of various levels of achievement?

There are quite a few Pokemon RPs throughout this forum. Furthermore, just posting in an Interest Check that you're thinking about creating a Pokemon RP would be a good start. It won't be too helpful to post here for a Co-GM when you don't seem to have a story, setting, or plot.
@innertt'tis very right. ;)
