Hey, I know all eyes are on me in the situation. I just didn't want to clog the IC with back to back posts. So I decided to wait a bit and see what was going on around me. Since all I got was a statue awkwardly standing around, I guess it's time for my reaction to an angry crowd.

It will be posted within the hour, it takes time to write my usual humerus posts. After all, I was thrown back by the sudden change myself, thanks KoL...
@Rakurai You know, those are completely fair points you brought up. I'm sure that when it was just the turmoil I described, it was fairly easy to do a weak calm area tune. However, when the ??? lady decided to throw the crowd against Randar, I can see it losing effectiveness quickly. Compound this with his personality and he would probably buckle under pressure, causing a domino effect.

That being said, how typical of a crowd to turn on the one trying his best to help them not get injured. Well played pushing the anger onto the short guy who at the moment doesn't have his Spirit close by due to attempting a split action strategy. I throw my flare into the sky for some support, if you can even spot him among the crowd.
@KoLWell, even if my music didn't work. At least thanks for the acknowledgment that I did try to calm the people down.

I guess it doesn't look good with so many knights ignoring the safety of the civilians. Randar's music isn't omnipotent, it was intended originally to calm the people down and help prevent a panic. Much like you know, a boulder and a Behemoth appearing out of nowhere. The monster seemed like it wasn't the focus to start with, there were always better places to place it if it was intended to cause damage. As for, you know, convincing others that their safety was first. Well, that is more terrifying than the monster, in my opinion of course.

This was turning into madness. He had to stop for a second to comprehend the events happening in front of him. A Behemoth Dissonance not only appeared in the middle of town, but just perfectly placed to prevent a large boulder piloted by Mary from crashing into a baby cart. Some metallic barrier came down revealing another Song Knight who attempted to block the boulder in vain. The skeleton wearing a sombrero was shooting fire and swinging a sword aiming for key spots. A new figure leaping up to attempt to kick the Behemoth in the back of the knee. He looked familiar, wait, was that Zachary Arc? Two of his classmates made it here? Off in the distance still another Song Knight was approaching, wielding a guitar, sitting on some throne, and accompanied by 2 sets of armor. If the Behemoth was a threat, it's chances were dropping rapidly.

As he glanced around, he noticed Mary was falling from the sky with what appeared to be her Spirit coming to save her. I can't fly so I hope your Spirit is quick enough he quickly thought to himself. A lame excuse, but nothing he could do about it. Despite this, only the metal knight was concerned with protecting the people in the area. Randar was gonna help there, he pulled out his small piccolo. Its light catching off the morning sun as he played a musical tune that projected an aura of confidence. A nice song to calm the people down so I can direct them out of here, he thought. Once the people were safe, he would see to the Behemoth. After all, there was a good chance the other knights would be able to distract it long enough.

He glanced at Cothyl again, hoping somehow checking more often would change the situation, slightly bigger, but not much. He shook his head, he couldn't sit back any longer. "Cothyl, aim for the creatures eyes, try to blind it with what you have available." Cothyl was happy to finally get to do something besides being quiet and unremarkable. Randar turned his head, still people around, gawking and frozen in fear. Why can't they just run away when these things happen? No one's injured, so let's make sure it stays that way. He played a new tune for the nearby civilians to follow him out of the area, a pied piper of the city. If it wasn't in a bad situation, he would have laughed at how silly he looked leading such a large crowd out of here. He felt bad leaving Cothyl to handle helping the fight against the Behemoth, but he's a big boy, well, not yet.

Cothyl ran into the battle zone, a roughly 4 foot tall lizard with a faint glow on his back. He knew it was dangerous, but Randar always insisted on protecting the weak whenever possible. He would have preferred some more time, but he had to try. He mustered his energy, "look at the glowing lizard you overgrown rock monster" he muttered. It wasn't gonna be much, but a well placed shot should spare some time for an opening. With all these Song Knights, surely this would be over quickly. He took aim, ready to interfere. After all, Not too many shots could be done, so they had to count.
You people should be ashamed of yourself. It should be lives first, looking good last. Unless it's me of course. Priorities, people.
@TheWindel Yeah, I guess I forgot about it. Got it now, thanks for the reminder though.
Its gonna get fun now with the boulder, skeleton and some runt jumping up against a Dissonance. I wonder if the tournament will be delayed by this or will they still expect us to be on time after this is all over? Either way, time for a beat down.

Randar arrived in Arpeggio fresh off the cart in the morning, it was cutting it close, but he made it. He glanced around to admire the place. It may have been a fluke, skill, or a little bit of both. He was here to participate in a competition, to show what he was made of. He could hardly contain himself, but he had some business to take care of. He glanced at the paper in his hand, checking to make sure he had the right time to arrive. He was disappointed that the competition was so early, there wouldn't be time to tour the area in advance. He took some time to calculate how much prep time he needed before the rounds started. 20 minutes would be good enough to start the show.

He looked at his Spirit, Cothyl, who stood around 2 feet tall. He had to remind himself that this was part of the plan. If he was to pull off the stunt like last time, he had to not stick out, yet. He found himself smirking as he thought of the look on their faces when they saw this surprise. He gave a nod to his Spirit, they walked into the Arpeggio, as a small man and a smaller lizard. He was relieved that his gear was so small and portable, no need to stand out. Every time Cothyl picked up some size, he would expel the energy harmlessly to stay small. He was confident that round 2 was gonna be the big leagues. The big, big, big leagues. Hopefully they could move the fight outdoors. Or better yet, the opponent gave up when they saw who they were up against.

After finding the location and working out what time he needed to show up, he decided to get a sneak peek of the city. There was always a bustle in a place like this. He wandered the streets, preferring to take the back roads, he didn't want to talk to people really. He saw some odd things like some drunk girl arguing with a skeleton and yet more street urchins running off talking of some rich guy throwing money around. Most would guess these are pretty normal things, but he suspected these must be other song knights presumably here for the tournament like him. He once again grinned at the thought no one knew who he was still. At least the weather will be good today.

He found himself on the main streets when he spotted something large zooming in the distance. He strained his eyes to figure out what that was, looked like a rock, no, a boulder? A flash of color and he would swear that something was on it. He was gonna just laugh about it till he went white in the face. If that was a person on there, only one person he knew would be crazy enough to do it. The name Mary Stradford flashed in his head. Please be wrong, please be an attack or anything except that girl...

He glanced at his Spirit, still small, not gonna be helpful. If this goes wrong, would he have to change his plans? That thought didn't matter if there were people in danger. He headed in the direction the rock was flying, maybe it was gonna miss the city, or he was seeing things. Still, when the name Mary came up, trouble was sure to follow. He still had time, so there wasn't harm in double checking if he saw something. Cothyl picked up on his distress and asked if he should stop focusing on staying small. This plan was a little locked in at the moment, and he wasn't happy that he overlooked usefulness for a chance to be flashy. If he cleared the first round, he was gonna stomp the next opponent flat without showing off.

Wrapped up in his thoughts, he was startled by a sound in the distance. He knew that sound, and it was definitely trouble. He wasn't sure how much use he was going to be, but darn it, no one's gonna die on his watch. He motioned to Cothyl to keep his distance when they get there. "Get big if there's trouble and you have the time, otherwise focus on finding any injured people and motion them to myself so I can work my magic quick and efficiently." He felt his magical gun in his pocket, still had a good few shots, just in case. He wasn't planning on using it this time. His music was gonna be more practical to calm the crowd and heal the injured.

Finally arriving, he spotted a skeleton attacking the Dissonance. Who knew the drunk could fight so well? He showed up panting from the effort of all this running. He scanned the area. No one was hurt yet, finally some good news. He looked upwards in time to see the boulder on its way here. He groaned when he recognized the person up there. Mary really did it this time, who even rides a boulder into a town? He wanted to run up to the song knight but found himself sticking to the sidelines. He glanced at Cothyl, about his size. Looks like its gonna be a support kind of day.
@TheWindel So, I'm fine with the name change for well, reasons. On the picture though, I couldn't find another picture that comes close to representing what I was going for. If you tell me to change it anyways, I will try to.
Hey, it might be a bit late to join, but I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring. My friend showed me this site and, I am new to forum RPs, but here's my CS.
