Nate's not exactly inclined to think of him positively at the moment.
So I just wrote about flagging down the first person I came across in the panic. If one of you would like to be that person, by all means do that.
"Uh, what the hell?" Culver mumbled, looking up from the ball he was dejectedly tapping against a wall. Holding his lucky hockey stick at his side, he tentatively peered around the corner at the sound of automatic gunfire. His eyes widened as he took in the gate, lying crushed under the wheels of a heavy SUV, and the geeks coming through and biting anyone foolish enough to stand close. The Marines were putting up a decent fight, but stress and fatigue had obviously worn down their combat ability. Not to mention the sheer number of geeks pouring through this small opening.

Culver considered himself a brave man, but he also considered himself to be a pragmatic one. Obviously, the best thing to do was get out of there, at least temporarily. Maybe the Marines would rally and fight off the geeks and repair the breached defenses. Maybe. Until then, it might be a good idea to gather some supplies, maybe a few more people, a vehicle. Then head inland. One of those he knew where to find. He had been signing autographs at the motor pool the previous day, and noticed that the military vehicles required no keys, just the push of a button. Some of them were probably still fueled.

He had to get to work. The resistance at the front gate would crumble here in a moment. "Time to be a hero," he said with a grin as he ran out, flagging down the first person he saw. "Follow me! I know where to get wheels!" he commanded like he was out on the rink.
"Sure, why not. Game could be fun," Nate said, taking a swig from the vodka and wincing at the taste of that as well. Maybe he should stick with whiskey, that seemed to go down smoother.

His eyes widened when Helen threw herself at Isaac, and he gasped when the quiet, weedy dude threw her to the ground without so much as a second thought. "Shit, dude, what the hell is the matter with you?" he yelled. Maybe this wasn't his type of party, not even ten minutes and already girls were getting beat up. Nate immediately ducked down and grabbed Helen's shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked anxiously, feeling for the phone in his pocket. He didn't want to be that guy, but he might have to call 911.
Well, my plan was to focus on fictional Nazis (though a lot of them would be based on real life fugitives, like Mengele, Eichmann, and Cukurs). I wouldn't feel right casting real life monsters in a game, even as villains. Besides, I'd like a bit of wiggle room for the story I have in mind, which original characters are better for.

Hope you're still interested even with this in mind.
Without giving away too much, it's a privately funded effort that has the tacit support of Israeli and West German authorities. As it's the Fifties to start with, the Soviets and their clients are still looking after their own, so we likely won't have much opportunity to go after them. The focus will primarily be on former SS men and a few collaborators.
Good questions.

I think everyone should post at a rate they are comfortable with and participate as much as they are able. I've seen a lot of good RPs killed by "I was waiting for someone else to post," which I'd like to avoid if possible.

Roles aren't going to be dead set, it's a team of individuals first and foremost. To use your example, if one guy is the team marksman, it's not because that is a role that must be filled every single time, it's because that character is skilled in that area and assumes that task when it comes up. I'd like to see well-rounded characters, not minmaxing.

Our producer is Jon Peters?

I was worried no one would get the joke.

Well, I was working on my "executive with dumb ideas" character, but it looks like we've already got a producer. I could still make him, but I don't want to intrude onto sixsmith's territory.

I personally would love to have a guy who insists on having the main character fight a giant spider.
As the Second World War came to a close, the enormity of the Nazi leadership's crimes against humanity could no longer be hidden or ignored. With cold and righteous fury, the nations of the world turned their attention to the men and women who had orchestrated such monstrosities. The survivors of their crimes viewed the trials with silent tears, the hangings with grim satisfaction, and the future with cautious optimism. "Never forget," they said as Tsion was opened.

There were some of these horrific criminals, however, who were indeed forgotten. Whether through luck, charity, or careful planning, these men had escaped capture and retribution and gone into hiding. Living quiet, anonymous lives, these Nazi escapees thought themselves untouchable. The years passed, cities were rebuilt, futures forged. But some scars never heal.

The year is now 1956. You have been invited to London to meet with several others in your line of work: detectives, hitmen, adventurers, spies, soldiers of fortune, bounty hunters. There, two men offer you an extended contract to hunt down these escaped war criminals. Your charge is not to arrest them. Your charge is to kill them, to visit them with retribution.

So, the overall idea for this is a sort of Ian Fleming/ John le Carre feel, that sense of Cold War paranoia mixed with intense action. This is for mature and patient RPers- there is careful detective work and espionage to be done before each assassination can be planned, not to mention the inevitable character building and conflict. My vision is for this RP to span years, maybe even decades. You'll still be hunting Nazis in 1976. Characters will age, die, be replaced.

"Gee, cyclopean one," you may say to me, "that sounds like a lot of fun but I'm not sure I can commit the time to it." I understand completely. I run two businesses and I'm in the process of setting up a third, my leisure times are few and far between. That's the beauty of this one. This RP will be episodic, a series of small vignettes focusing on one hunt or case within the overarching plot. Think like individual episodes of a TV show. My goal is to play out each vignette in one to three weeks real time, with a break in between each. That way, you can do "Paris, October 1958" with us all, then skip "Montevideo, March 1959" so you can focus on moving or finals or whatever might need your attention, then hop right back in for "Lahore, January 1960". This also means new people can join us at any time, all they need do is wait for the start of the next case so as to make their introduction feel a little more natural.

So, does this idea intrigue anyone?
